Hi ya Girls!
Jen, Congratulations on the loss!:carrot::carrot: Christian, sorry you pigged out at CB. Their food is yummy. I pigged out at Texas Roadhouse Sat night. I didn't eat lunch that day and was starving by the time we went. I made bad choices. Today I was back on track and I'm glad to hear you were too. Fullsteam, I've considered doing a modified phase 1 for a couple of days too. I'm not really craving carbs though so I'm not sure if it's necessary or not. Good luck if you do, it always helps me. Glad you are feeling better!!!! Mkat, 32 days means I really need to buckle down. I did great up until that dinner last night. I hope you can permanently say goodbye to those pounds. My news: Besides eating horribly last night, I ran 7.3 miles tonight then walked another 1.2 miles. I have been vigilant about my water too 4 for 4. Best of luck everyone!!! |
Hi everyone
Sorry I have been out of touch over the weekend. We had a very full calendar of sporting events for the DDs. So, I did OK-ish staying OP. Saturday was a little worse than Sunday. But Sunday I did have a hot dog. :( I really didn't want to but I found myself putting it in my mouth. At least I only had one! ;) So, now at 31 days! :chin: Hmmm, can I make it? IDK, it looks like it is going to be tough. TOM is around the corner and that is at best a stall. I am going to try to be really good this week. It will be a little easier as DH will be out of town and I tend to have a glass of wine with him in the evening when he is home. Jen-Fantastic job on the loss! With only 5 pounds to go it looks like you are definitely going to hit goal with a month to go! Lene-Awesome job on the :running: I am trying to get back into it using a modified C25K program and am supposed to do 3 miles today. We'll see how that goes. Hope everyone has a super Monday!!! |
Hello Ladies, I found lots of projects to do over the weekend to keep me away from the fridge. I was running late this morning, and forgot to weigh-in. Wednesday will be one week for me.
You ladies are doing some serious exercising, Lene, running 7.3 miles is fantastic. I'm very impressed.... I'm still working on getting through Leslie Sansone "walk away the pounds". A friend gave me an old "Firm" CD and the step thing that goes with it. Does anyone know anything about The Firm? Hope everyone has a great day!!! |
Hi everyone :wave::cp:
Jen: Way to go! :cp: Christian: Glad to hear you are doing wonderful! Way to go taking off the gain so quickly! :cheer: urockmom: Of Course you can make it chickie!!! mkat321: Hang in there! It will go! :sunny: lene1974: I love Texas Roadhouse! It sure is hard to pick from their menu though! I think last time I went I chose the small steak and had a sweet potato w/o extras and the greenbeans. Friends ordered the onion thing and I just had to steal a few. That bread!!! I managed to stay away but it was actually painful. You can run though!!! You probably will still lose with all that work!! :running: Fullsteam: Glad you are better! You can do it! Go for it!! :flow2: Thanks to the advice I received from you all...I lost 2 lbs. :thanks: My two week stall is gone! I have increased my calories from 1400 to 1600. I think that is why my body gave in to the loss. We'll have to see if it continues. The Key: It is all about adjusting...your life....constantly! But that's ok. I can do it and so can you!!! Look out Thanksgiving...Here we come!!! :bike: |
Great job on the loss Hattie! I'm glad you figured out what worked to get past your stall.
Kathy I have not tried "The Firm" but have heard good things about it. I have tried Slim in 6 which gave amazing results but required a lot of squats and bending of the knees. I have never had great knees. :( There is another one called Power 90 and I loved that workout. Power yoga, kickboxing, cardio all wrapped into one session. Plus Tony the guy who instructs you, is very cute. ;) MY Reality So, I haven't posted the last couple of days. That's because I have been naughty with my food. I was very driven to lose the weight the first 6 months and did really great. I think I'm pretty comfortable with my weight and I have lost some of my motivation. 150 isn't necessarily skinny but with all my exercise I think I look pretty okay. I need to find motivation. I'm doing really horrible at this challenge and normally I am extremely competitive and driven. Maybe it's because I'm in TOM or just I'm incredibly busy all the time but I need to snap out of it. The one thing I have done really well with is getting my water in, which was my mini goal this week. Anyways, maybe I should do a clean phase 1 for a week and see how that goes. I made a big pot of beef veggie soup that I can eat the next couple of days. I won't weigh myself till TOM is over plus the battery died again in my scale. 3 times in the last 6 weeks I guess I need a new scale. Sorry for my ramblings. Someone come and kick me. I hope you gals are doing alright. I miss you. |
lene- I will not kick you hard...but here is a KICK!! I do understand where you are at though, 150 feels pretty good and at that weight it is kind of hard to keep pushing to go further as the results are really great once you have worked to hit it. You have to ask yourself one question...is this your goal?? And are you satisfied at the place your body is now?? if the answer is yes, then just continue to eat good 80% of the time and exercise at least 3 days a week to maintain and if it is not your goal then I will be sure to get my boots on and get you that kick you need to continue ;)
|
Good morning all!
Hattie - Awesome job on figuring out what had you stalled. What a great feeling to know that you are exercising so much and being so healthy that you can increase your calories!! :carrot: Lene-I am sure that it is a struggle to still keep going when you are pretty happy with how you look. But you'll ultimately feel tons better when you reach your goal. Don't just think about all that you have accomplished, think about how good you will feel when you can say, "I did this." You can do it chickie and we are here to help!! So---get motivated--we have just a month to Thanksgiving!!! Even if you don't make your challenge goal-and I am not at all sure that I will-you will still be a loser! I did well on my exercising yesterday but just so-so on the food. I feel really sluggish this morning so I am sure that TOM is on its way. Sooo, I am going to do a big workout of weights and cardio and drink lots & lots & lots of water. (And if that doesn't work-take a nap.) Hope everyone has a good day! |
Way to go on the 2 pounds Hattie!!!! :balloons:
|
urockmom- OOps I must have posted when you did :D TOM huh?? Dont you just love being a woman??? ;) I hear ya on the nap, you can and will do this
|
I haven't been on for awhile. Things are going alright. Not the best..but ok. I spent the weekend at my mom's and it's so hard to stay on track there. Plus, I haven't been feeling that great. Better today.
I hope everyone is doing good. |
Thanks Christie and urock for the kick. You're both right I would like the satisfaction of reaching my goal. I was OP today with my food. I had a bad sinus headache for most of the day so I didn't get any exercise in. The weather here has been crazy the last couple of days. Fortunately, I can get a solid workout in tomorrow. Okay, okay, 1 day at a time. I can do this. I can do this. I can do this. (Did that sound convincing???)
Barbara~ Sorry you aren't feeling great. I hope tomorrow goes better for you. Urock~ So did you nap or have a motivated, life changing workout? Inquiring minds want to know. Christie~ How did you do on your mini goal? Did you accomplish what you were hoping too? Fullsteam, Shy, Kathy, mkat, Jen, edzard, Hattie~ Where are you???????? I hope you are all doing okay. Take care. |
(I'm confused, are there two thanksgiving challenges? Or did this move over to that other thread?)
I'm feeling motivated but very tired. It's also just weird how time flies! o.0 |
Bunny,
Yes, it is a bit confusing. There are two Thanksgiving Challenges. This thread was started about a month ago. The other started this week. We are a supportive group so you are welcome to join us-your choice! Lene-So, inquiring minds should be satisfied. I did all of it: 45 mins:lifter:, 10 miles :ebike:, 45 mins :faint:. And, as TOM started this morning, it was not my imagination that I spent the whole day feeling like I was the Michelin man. ;) Today, I have two good things to report: 1) even with the TOM extra weight, I was not over 170 on the scale this a.m. So, even though WI is tomorrow and I probably won't show a loss right now, I think I probably have lost this week but it won't show up 'til next week, and 2) I had a 2 mile run on my schedule (of the run 4 mins/walk 30 sec variety) but I felt so good that I skipped the last 30 sec rest and THEN ran another mile to boot!!! So, I am bloated, crampy, grumpy (phone rang at 5:22 am!), but also :carrot: Barbarajean-Feel better soon!!!:getwell: :) and  to all! |
Hiiiiiiiiiiii Ladies,
Boy, Have I missed you all! It's been a crazy week. I think I last wrote on Sunday and I was feeling okay so I thought I kicked the cold. Anyhow, that afternoon I saw that my kitty was not doing well at all, very very weak. I didn't know what would happen during the course of the night so I called his doc and being the super guy that he is, he said bring him right down and opened the clinic just for us! He gave the little guy fluids and a new course of meds (diff. ones this time) and told us he would check back with us later at night and if he wasn't any better to bring him down and we would put him on I.V! What a good man! He has helped us many times. Needless to say, kitty improved a bit that night and we only had to give him fluids on Tue. as he became a bit dehydrated. He showed us how to give him fluids at home and I am so thankful for DH, I would of been a basket case doing it on my own. So the story continues......lol. THat sunday was awful, we were upset and even got into an argument. I woke up that next day (mon.) sick as the dickens! Dh an mom convinced me to make a doc appt. so made one for tues. THat monday night, I didn't want my protein or meal plan at all and I went off and ate P! Yes, I don't even want to spell it. I was so miserable after and so so afraid of going off plan. I worked so hard and it took me soooo long just to get started again. I thought of you all and wanted to come and write but I felt too yucky. The following day (tue.), I dragged my tail to the docs and it turned out I have bronchitis, as I suspected at that point! While I had to wait for my prescription to get filled, I went over to the neighboring supermarket and bought foods for my plan. Thank god for the roast chickens they cook there, that was my saving grace that night. From that day on, I have been eating foods on plan though not eating quite enough or enough veggies, just doing the best I can. I have been having a thomas whole grain eng. muffin past few days as I want something dry a lot of the time. In a nutshell, this past week my eating has been erratic! I weigh in tomorrow and as long as I don't have a gain , I will consider myself unscathed from this whole thing. Good thing I had trained my appetite the weeks prior or I would have probably eaten myself out of house and home by now! Ladies, when you cook something sometime keep in mind to maybe make a little extra and freeze it for if something arises. It would be very helpful. Hattie, congrat on getting that scale to move again! : ) wtg! Urockmom and lene, I hope you got through TOM okay and are feeling well. Lene, that veggie soup you made sure sounds good my lady :). As for your recent post regarding eating etc., It shows how consience you are of what you are doing and I am sure you will succeed in your endeavors! Wtg on getting back on track and yes, one day at time! You can do it! :) Barbara Jean, I hope you are feeling better. Christian, hi sweety. I hope you are well and things are going good for you. Your always very supportive to us all here, you all are! You guys rock! to you all! mkat, hang in there and keep up the good work, you are sooooooo close to onderland! Go girl! : ). Kathy, I vaguely remember the firm tapes...I think I had them a long time ago and as I recall they are very good. I still have the old denise austin tapes, she is super! I'm a fan of hers : ). How is your leslie sansons tape? It sounds very good , keep up the good work : ). Hi bunny, I beleive there are 2 thanksgiving challenges. There are a few of them I think. Feel free to join us : ) . I hope you are feeling better. Well ladies, it's so good to be back here posting and what a whallop of a post! lol:D Hope I didn't leave anyone out. Hope you all have a terrific day and a happy one! Keep up the great work everyone, we have 4 weeks to go.....one step at a time for now, 1 day at a time. Let's rock it! :) I am getting better by the way, last day of antibiotics is saturday and I hope to get out this weekend. I havn't been out to dinner in a couple of weeks and I am soooooooo ready for a night out! lol. :) Talk soon, take care of yourselves  |
Bunny, the other Thanksgiving Challenge was started my Eny and Melissa. I have done 2 challenges with them and they are great girls. This turkey day challenge was started weeks ago by Christian. You are more than welcome on either board. Best of luck!
Wow, urock >>>>u really do rock! Great job getting your exercise in yesterday. Yay for you, on your run. Are you doing C25K or is that another program.? I ran 3.2 today and made sure I did some hills to boot. I love running. I get such a strong feeling everytime I hit a milestone. It's so addictive. Tonight is Trick or Treat around here. TOM and chocolate >>> Give me strength!!! |
Leneeeeeeeee, hi! :) I was about to log off and saw your post. We were posting around the same time. :dust: regarding TOM and chocolate!
:dust: and here is some for me too! lol. Trick or treat isn't until tomorrow night for us but there is a biiiiiiig bag of several diff. bags of candy sitting on my dining room table!. Dh bought a lot, he told me if there are any leftovers he will bring it into work! good! I already had one and promised myself no more! Have fun with the kids t onight : ). I love seeing their little costumes! |
Fullsteam-Wow, what a tough week you have had. I am glad that you have such a terrific vet to take care of the little guy. Bronchitis is just awful. I have had it a bunch of times and you just cough and cough and cough. Your abs feel like they have done a million crunches and you've just been laying there. Yuck! I am sure that the antibiotics will get you feeling better in no time. Meanwhile, and :getwell:
Oh, :dust: to everyone regarding Halloween candy. For myself, its Reese's PB cups, which I would not buy, but DD will come home with some. I know it. lene-I started running 4 years ago and at that time downloaded a program that goes couch to 5K in 22 workouts. It is very similar to the C25K but you run for longer periods (4 mins instead of 90 seconds) and your rest periods are between 30 sec & 1 min. I liked it because I could be flexible about which were my off days, essential with my crazy schedule. I got to the point that I could run 5 miles regularly and kept at it for several years. Then I had some injuries and a very stressful last two years with no exercise so I am trying to get back into it. What seems to be helping a lot this time is the weight training as my legs are getting stronger faster. I am mixing up my running with a lot of other cardio to try and avoid injury and it seems to be working. :) |
Hi everyone:wave:
First of all a confession: I am in both Thanksgiving challenges. I hope nobody minds. I love all of you here and the new one sounded like fun ... I couldn't help myself. You won't kick me out will you? Fullsteam: :hugs:and:hugs:and:hugs:and, oh yeah...more :hugs: I am so sorry that you have been sad and not feeling well all at the same time! You just keep doing your best and it will pass! What is the P? peas, pumpkin, potatoes, pudding, pasta? Lene: Trick or treat tonight? Where are you? I didn't get any candy. I really don't want to. Am I terrible if I don't? Last year I don't think anyone came to our house anyway. All the little kids have grown up and our house is not convenient for people to get to. When our kids were little we decorated our house into a haunted house. We would get the dry ice and my dh would make dummies that moved (oscillating fans). Everyone use to come to our house. Now that the kids are all grown up, we don't do it anymore. :( I have also suffered from sinus headaches that can go into migraines. They are the worst!!! The other morning I woke up with a sinus headsche and almost convinced myself not to exercise...fearing it would get worse. I took advil and got my butt onto the treadmill. I was proud that I worked through it. I am not saying that I can do that every time I have a headache, but I just didn't want to give myself an excuse. I would have been upset at myself if it had gotten worse. I think I was lucky. So I totally understand your pain!!! urockmom: You go girl!! Working out with TOM? Awesome! Christian: You are the best! You are so supportive and thanks for starting this thread!!! Gotta go do some wii fit. PS. I treasure this thread so I hope you all don't feel I am cheating on you! |
Good morning ladies! :D ;)
I am so sorry I have been MIA girls  I have been SO busy running around with my dad and girls this week, it seems we went EVERYWHERE  Plus I have been working nights at a phone bank and whew and I :dizzy: from running! Hattie- Nobody is kicking you anywhere chic ;) I think it is great that there is more support out there, the more the merrier in my book and I am just thankful that there seems to be so much traffic on the other thread, that just means others are getting healthier too  Lene- I did great on my mini challenge, I am setting myself up for a water one this week, I have not been getting in enough so 8 glasses a day is my goal...what is yours??? ;) urockmom- Girl...I too love peanut butter cups!!! Oh the horror...who needs a haunted house, those chocoaltes are scary enough  Fullsteam- Sending good <<<<<VIBES>>>>> to you sis, I think I am going to have a little trouble with candy at my house, so after they eat what they want of it tonight I am going to Have to take it and dump it somewhere or it seems to be a real problem for me to have here, especially that TOM  barb- Missed you girl, here are some good <<<<<VIBES>>>>> for you too...We can do it, I know we can! :grouphug: Well I am off for another busy day..but I will be sure to check in this afternoon...lets do this ladies!!!! |
Hi ladies
Sorry once again for being MIA I'm a bad bad member, lol. I get so busy with my little ones but what has kept me most busy this week is ....................... PLANNING MY WEDDING!!!!! We finally decided to strat officially planning our wedding now that we've been engaged 5 years and have 2 kids, lol. So now the pressure is on, I need to get skinny to start tring on those wedding gowns! I've been doing ok with the diet and exercise. I'm like a yoyo I swear. I do good for a few day...bad for a few days, but I know thats just not gonna cut it in the long run. I have lost 2 more lbs...I'm at 137 now. While I'm happy that I lost those 2 mlbs. I'm not happy about the fact that I've only lost 5 lbs since that start of this challenge. I'm with yall about the halloween candy, I'm gonna REALLY have to will myself to stay out of that chocolate. Well its 5am and I can't sleep so I'm gonna finish this coffe and go get on the elliptical before my angel faces wake up. LOVE YOU ALL!!! |
Goodmorning to you all and Happy Friday : )
Girls, ty so much for the hugs, good vibes, and encouragement. It sure means a lot  urockmom, ty! Yes, it just drags on and on and it is very frustrating, I found myself thinking, "when will this thing end". The antibiotics seem to be doing the trick : ), I feel a little bit better everyday since I started taking them so I think I'm at the tail end of this thing and my spirits are lifting. Thanks girls for telling me I would get better and it would pass, I really needed to hear that and those words of encouragement helped my spirits :) urockmom, that program your doing sounds great! That's great that your getting back into it and I am so glad that you found a way to mix it up and it working for you!!! THat is super! :) Hattie, ty as well dear lady....those hugs were awfully nice and like I said, you gals gave me a lift. Hattie, when I read your post and the part about kicking you out, I smiled! lol : ) are you kidding? NEVER! lol. Your such a pleasure to have here and I agree with CHristian (as I'm sure we all do) that your being involved in the other thread, or any thread for that matter, is wonderful!!!!! : ) We are all here for common goals and the extra support and sharing, there can never be too much of it...the more the merrier as Christian said. You keep doing what your doing, your doing great. I am sorry to hear of your headaches and I hope they become farther and fewer inbetween, I am glad that you were able to work through it the other day. It can't be an easy thing to hop on the treadmill when your feeling like that but you did it and you managed through it, I bet you felt great after and I happy for that. CHristian, thanks for those good vibes sis! Right back at you, to all of you. It sounds like you have been busy indeed. Being busy with dad and the girls and going "everywhere" sounds like it was fun! As for the candy, oh my goodness, I hear you. We usually manage to give it all away but if there is left over it is going to be around all weekend calling my name! lol. DH said he will hide it on me :D. Luckymom, Planning your wedding, how exciting! : ) DO you have a date set yet? Congratulations on the loss! Though it isn't as much as you want and your having your bad days interspersed with your good ones, your still managing to control it and the scale is moving downard for you versus up, good job on that! Just keep on truckin' and working on it, you have quite the incentive now with the wedding and all :). I'm excited for you, do keep us posted. As for me, I weighed in today and I am the same, maybe just a smidgen down. Whew! TOday marks 1 month for me and I lost a total of 9lbs. Though it would of been nice to see the scale move down this week, I am pleased that I did not have a gain. Now that I am feeling better, I am thinking to do ph1 this week, or at least Sun. through Thursday. I think it would be a good time for me to do this now, all the way around. I will need to plan my meals a few days in advance in order to be successful and pick up everything I need. My other goal this week is to hop on the treadmill sometime, which I have yet to do! I was walking outdoors before I got sick and now it is freezing out there ladies! I need to get into the groove of the treadmill and set that into motion. I hope you all have a super day and a great start to the weekend. :) |
Hi everyone
Thank you for being so understanding! Christian: Busy is good sometimes...right? Just take that candy and give it away..right away! You will feel soooo good! Luckymom: How exciting! When is the date? Maybe we can do a mini challenge to lose weight with you and go to your wedding. (virtually..of course) 5 Years...you have been very patient. :smug: Fullsteam: I just wanted to tell you that you are incredible. Here you are just getting over being sick and you are here with us giving us support! You are always so kind and I can tell that is just the kind of person you are. You must have a lot of friends. May I call you friend? :smug: urockmom: What is the C25K? I have seen that on so many posts. :haphal:Happy Halloween and here comes November! :bat: Let's go!:witch::sklol::frank: (sorry these things are just soooo cute!) |
Hi everyone and Happy Halloween!!! :spid: (OK, just the one.)
Hattie-We would never kick you out!!! (Truthfully, I don't even know how you would do that virtually.) We are all about support in all forms. As long as you support us first. haha. just kidding. ;) C25K=Couch to 5K program. You can learn about it here: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml It seems that a lot of chicks are or have done this program. Lene-you said this is how you started right? I even think that there is a specific thread for it somewhere. Luckymom-How exciting!!!! A wedding!!! Oh, what fun! Big bride magazines, flowers, pretty dresses, oh, fun, fun, fun. You may need to shift directly from your Thanksgiving Challenge goal to your wedding challenge goal!!! Fullsteam-So glad that you are feeling better and I so hope that you are going to get your night out tomorrow. That always makes me feel better. :) Christie-I hope that you have had a good week even though it sounds exhausting. I find it really difficult to stay on plan when my whole schedule is messed up but I am sure you are doing great! For myself, I weighed in this am but no change. (TOM  as expected) I am down 7 pounds so far with 9 to go in the month. I am really going to have to have a big week next week! I am off now to pick up DD from her friend's house where she was trick-or-treating. Oh, please, please, please have no Reese's in that pumpkin!!! :grouphug: to all and have a great weekend! |
Wahoo! Almost everyone's back.
Fullsteam~ I wrote you a very deep, long and thought-provoking post last night. I went to check your response and it wasn't there so I must have hit preview instead of submit. But let me tell you, it was practically (probably) award winning material. But the gist was *sorry you have bronchitis*glad you are antibiotics*happy you are back*hope kitty is feeling better*you have a great vet*I missed you* Shy~ Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!:congrat: So when's the big day? What should I wear? 2lbs down is wonderful :carrot: Christie~ My goal last week was 64ozs each day. I didn't quite hit it one day but overall I drank 20x's what I normally do. Great job on getting your exercise in last week! Sorry you had a crazy week. Hattie~ I think it's great you are in both challenges. Double the motivation. The C25K is couch to 5K and is a training program for learning to be a runner. I started it in June and ran my first 5K race Sept 14th. About Trick or Treating I live in central PA and depending on which area you are in, it may be Thurs or Fri. I stole some candy from the kids. I won't touch it again though. I wouldn't have it in my house esp. now during TOM. It's pure evil  I decided to indulge this once and be done with it. Urock~ I was just talking to another runner the other day about getting an injury and how hard it is to get back into it. I know I have a bad knee so I try to only run every other day. I'm glad you are getting back at it again. I need to start doing more strength training on a regular basis. You're right it does help immensely. Barb~ How are you?? Need to go exercise. I'll check in later. |
Good morning ladies!
I had WAY to much fun last night with the girls! I am up in my weight...from Pizza  and I will admit I had chocolate, my new goal this week is to NOT cheat until Thanksgiving day, Yes I said it, and I need you ladies to help remind me of that once in awhile ;) Shy- :carrot:  Way to go on the wedding!!! Congrats!!! Hattie- 3 more pounds to your Thanksgiving goal...woooo hooo!! urockmom- Your next weigh in will be a great one, I just know it  lene- Thanks for the  I really needed it ;) Well I guess today will be housework day UUG! But I am just hoping to get caught up a little so that next week I can start a room by room remodel for the Holidays, I am planning to take EVERYTHING out of the girls rooms and repaint them and clean their carpets by Thanksgiving...I am gonna need ALOT of willpower dust  |
Good morning ladiesssss, happy Saturday : )
Hattie, oh you! ty for the kind words, feel the same about you and yes yesssssss :) absoultely you may call me freind! I am honored! I love your little Halloween emoticons, cute indeed! urock mom, ty! : ) and thanks for putting that thread up there for us. Today is a pleasant and mild sunny day (in the 50's) and in a little while DH and I are going to go for a ride and get out. I like to get out in the daytime while it's still sunny. I think we move the clocks behind an hour tonight, yikes! If I don't see a gain around TOM it's usually a good sign as I will typically see a sudden drop after so hang in there and keep up the good work, I bet you see a drop after :). Congrats on the 7lbs. down so far! :carrot: Leneeeee, that has happened to me before too! Losing posts like that is very frustrating. Thanks for all that you said. My kitty is doing much better, he is walking with his tail held high again! :) It's nice to see the little guy feeling good again! We are keepinga close eye on him and feeding him a special formula right now. I am happy to back as well and I missed you too girl :). I am very thankful to have you all here, your a super duper bunch! Ohhhhh, congrats on accomplishing your water goal last week, wtg! :carrot: Chrisitan, you hang in there girl  In my previous post when I said I had P that previous mon. night, that'ssssss what I was referring too! That is most likely temp. from the carbs and cheese and all but a good strict OP day or even 2 should have it right back down again so hang in there and keep at it!. I need to be good until Thanksgiving too and I have 3 social dinners to attend every weekend prior to thanksgiving! I am going to need to chose wisely and also be very strict inbetween. One day at a time, one day at a time. We will keep an eye out for each other, we all will. Well my ladies, it's wonderful to see you all. I hope you all had a great night last night. We ended up having 17 kids come to the house. They were absolutely adorable! I need to go get ready, I am not sure exactly what we are going to do ...I just know I need to get out of here a bit! lol. I hope you all have a super day and I look forward to talking again soon. |
Thanks Fullsteam  I needed those kind words today, and you are right ( One day at a time) and we are going to do this
|
Morning you beautiful ladies
I am still up a few pounds from Friday but I have to say...my motivation is back in a BIG way and I feel VERY possitive and had to share that, you guys make all the difference just knowing you are here  |
Hi Chicks! I have a little happy news. Now I have not lost a single pound (that I haven't gained back) throughout this challenge. But here's the thing.
I went shopping yesterday and grabbed a size 10 pair of jeans from the rack to try on. Well they were too big. So I go and grab a size 8 thinking there's no way these are going to fit but at least I could see if I'm getting closer. They fit perfectly. PERFECTLY! Needless to say I bought them wahoo! I tried on different brands too. My point is this: my numbers on the scale seemed to be at a stand still (because I've been off program some days) but my body is still shrinking. So I'm still making progress. Have a great day Ladies! |
:carrot: GO lene go!!!!!! AWSOME!!!!
|
Lene-That is awesome!!! What a great feeling to know that even though the scale is stuck you are clearly doing something right for your bod! :dancer:
I am sorry that I was so quiet over the weekend gals. Friday night I got hit by the cold bus and I have been hacking, sneezing, and sniffling since then. My eating has been really wacky because I am not at all hungry then I start to eat and can't stop. :?: I did also have 2 PB cups yesterday. So sick that the normal willpower just wasn't there. I am just going to lay low today, take lots of zinc, and hope that things start feeling better. Hope you all have a great day! :carrot: |
Good morning girls, missed you all.
Leneeee, that is super! Congrats on those size 8 jeans :carrot::carrot: and ty for that ispiration! It's good to remember that when that scale does not move sometimes, we still may be losing inches and making progress. Those size 8's and your progress is great news indeed! :bravo: urockmom, aw you. I am sorry to hear that you caught a cold. I felt like that too, not at all hungry much of the time and other times wanting something, etc. etc. (maybe trying to comfort myself) My palate changed and everything. Those stupid candies urockmom, I did the same thing last night! TOday I woke up pissed off and with a newfound determination! Try not to be too hard on yourself, it's so hard when your not feeling well. The main thing right now is to just get better. Take care of yourself and rest and stay warm. Maybe someone can make you or pick you up some nice soups, they can be comforting. Some nice hot tea would be good too and don't forget the hot bubble baths! ;) Know that we are here for you when you are up to writing but in the meantime you just rest and get better  :getwell: Christian , I'm with you! After yesterdays shanninagans (prob my worst day thus far) I gave myself a good :kickbutt: and woke up with a newfound determination! I have got to be at the tail end of this bronchitis thing, I think my feeling sick to tummy and all again last night had to do with the antibiotics still in my system (sat. was last day). With that being said, as long as I feel ok enough, I plan on coming in and posting to report how my day is going (or went) to help keep myself accountable. I agree, it really really does help. Thankgoodness for the support we all have here. My weekend was pretty good, I got to get out a couple of hours each day and for me that was progress! lol. We did go for an early dinner Sat. night to a nice nearby seafood rest. and I chose wisely and ordered the baked haddock. Sat was a good op day and I was proud of myself doing well at dinner. Sunday we went out for a big brunch and I admit, I enjoyed that like the dickens!!!!! :D I told myself ok, I will have a light dinner. It didnt work out that way and then I dipped into the darn candies which brings me to here and now (as getalt would say) and I am happy it's a new day! : ). I hope you all have a good day and urockmom, you just hang in there and get better. to all. |
urockmom- Feel better girl...I take vitamin C too when those old nasty symptoms hit me
Fullsteam- I almost have to come here every day to keep on track, if I am missing you can almost be sure that I am not doing well, and really even though I may be ashamed, I should be here for sure then. I am almost back to my lowest weight on this challenge and to be honest, I would have already been at goal had I just been good more than I have, I am ready now though and told my hubby that I am NOT cheating until Thanksgiving and he is going to keep me to that  How are the rest of you ladies???? |
3 weeks, 3 days till Thanksgiving. That's right around the corner. I woke feeling determined today too.
I hit my 2 lb loss, it was a little over a week but I had TOM and didn't weigh till it was over. Here's my 23 day plan: post once a day here (holds me accountable) journal my food drink my water 3+ runs/week no more than 1 sweet treat a day (less than 100 calories) if I need one That's my plan and I'm sticking to it!!! Christie~ good luck with your no cheats, you can do it! I find I don't want to come on here on days I'm not eating well, but that's the wrong answer. I also find if I post here first then I make better choices later. Fullsteam~Way to get determined! Today's a new day and we need to get it done, right? I LOL when you said you woke up this morning pissed off. Your post are always sunshiny and sweet and uber positive and then you said that and I about fell off my chair. Go on with your bad self! urock~ I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. Please take care of yourself. I have to go bake something for a bake sale and make bookfair posters. I'll post later chicks. |
lene- 23 days???? Oh we can do this!! I know it!! I will be sure to post first thing in the mornings too, that way I have to be more accountable and that will make me want to post before bed too  WOOO HOOO On the 2 pounds gone!!!

Hi everyone:wave:
Lene: SIZE 8??? OMG... I dream of that someday!!! Way to go!!! 2 lbs. to boot!! urock: Feel better...and I agree with Fullsteam...rest and don't worry. We will be here. Christian: You can do it! If we don't see you on here, should we question where the h--- you are? Would that help? Here is a mini-challenge-Let's all eat clean until Thanksgiving (feast day)! We can do it! What do you say? After all it is only 23 days!!! I am eating OP and exercising but the scale doesn't want to move much. I did lose 1 lb. I just want it to be more. I move the scale around the floor thinking that maybe it will say something different...it doesn't. Why do I do these things? LOL I am very proud of one thing...this was the first Halloween probably since I was a baby that I didn't have one piece of candy. That is kind of sad that it takes me 40something years to do that. At least I finally did it. I think I thought that it was some kind of law..Halloween = candy. It is a good reminder for the upcoming holidays. I don't have to pig out on Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines Day..etc... I will iss the candies in the Christmas stockings though. You guys will have to help me through that when it comes time. I will count on your support. I agree with everyone else...posting here is a tremendous help. Here's to eating clean! |
23 days!!! We can all do it girls! Lets show our bodys who is boss
|
I just did 14 miles on the exercise bike and 150 crunches. I'm hoping to get a nice run in tomorrow. Have a goodnight ladies!
