Hi, I'm here :D
My Dh took off work, kids had off school and we did a lot of running around together today. We went out to lunch and I behaved. I didn't get out to run today :( but I will hop on the bike for an hour or so.

Christian~ :carrot::carrot::carrot: yay on the loose jeans! Great job!!!

Hattie~ I'm so proud of you for staying away from the candy. I couldn't do it the first 2 days but I'm good now. I'll do my best to eat clean.

Fullsteam~I'll be officially weighing in on Friday too. I hope we both see losses that day. I also need to get more healthy choices in the house. It's been another busy week.

Shy~ you can lose 6lbs, absolutely!!!!

Have a great night!!

Christian 11-05-2008 08:08 AM

lene- Way to go on eating good yesterday, I know for me it is hard too, my hubby wants to go eat at all kinds of places that I cant  He is doing the Body For Life diet and he gets a whole day to cheat and let me tell ya...the cookies, donuts, chips and junk he puts away that day would blow your mind :dizzy: I just have to avoid being in the same room with him while he does it

Well I am down ANOTHER pound this morning so I am thrilled!! I dont know if I mentioned it before, but I started the Micheal Thurman 6 week body makeover Saturday and it has been great so far, I figured I will do this until Thanksgiving and see how far it takes me and then if it isnt too hard to keep on it, I will do it until Christmas as well. I am desperate to lose the last 20 pounds I have not ever lost fully, once I got down to 142 but I was on Phenermine so I am ready to do it naturally this time and so far so good ;)
Have a great one ladies :grouphug:

FullSteamAhead 11-05-2008 12:05 PM

Good morning ladiesssssssss, well it's almost noon now, lol : )

Lene, sounds like it was a nice day with dh and the kids, wtg on behaving at lunch.

Shy and Christian, congrats on the loss! :carrot::carrot: Christian, is the michael thurman body makeover the advertisement on T.V? I'm not sure it that's the one I am thinking of or not. Either way, it sounds like it's working great for you....keep up the awesome work all.

As for me, I have been puttering around all morning catching up on a few things around here. I am well enough to do things now and it feels good to move my tail again. Yesterday went well but I didn't get enough water in to my liking so this is high on my priority list for today. I better get back to work, hope you all have a great day.....catch up with you l ater on.

lene1974 11-05-2008 01:11 PM

Hi everyone!
Nothing new to report. Just wanted to check in.

Christie~ I've always been curious about Michael Thurman's program. I'm glad it seems to be working. Congratulations on another lb. down. How's your home reorganization projects going? Did you start the girls room yet?

Fullsteam~I need to make sure I get my water in today too. I have to get some cleaning done and I'll make sure I carry a bottle with me from room to room.

Okay. Enough computer time for me.
I'll check in later

urockmom 11-05-2008 01:36 PM

Hi chicks! I'm back....

Sorry I have been so quiet. Ty very much to all for the nice words of comfort and encouragement with the cold. It has really, really been knocking me around since Friday. :kickbutt:

Given that, I can report some good news & some not so good news. Good news: I have lost 1 pound since last week & since that short dip into the bowl of Halloween candy I have been staying out of it. I have also only missed one day of exercise. Not so good news: I haven't really been eating OP this week and think that I haven't been keeping to my calorie count but can't tell how far off because I have been too tired to log in stuff on FitDay. So, we'll see what happens on WI on Friday.

As for you lovely ladies...:woohoo: you guys sound like you have rededicated yourselves to your Thanksgiving goals and are really doing well!

Shy & Christian- :congrat: on the losses!!
Lene-way to go on the exercise. I can't imagine doing that many crunches!!!
Fullsteam-glad that you are feeling better and I can't wait to say the same. :)
Hattie-Awesome job on the candy and while I don't move the scale around on the floor, I do get on, then off, then on, then off, then on, then off...in the hopes that it will say something different. :D
mkat & barbara-where are 'ya gals?

You have all inspired me to really, really push through the next 3 weeks no matter how I feel. So, my mini-goals are 1) to be more consistent on the water. (This is usually not at all a problem but I have been completely off track on this for the last week. :dunno:) and 2) to eat an apple a day until Thanksgiving. I am exactly half way through my challenge and time is running out!!! I have to lose 8  pounds by Thanksgiving and I think that is going to be really, really, really hard. BUT I promise to try.

I, too, do better when I post more often and feel that you guys are holding me accountable so I will be here at least once a day until Turkey Day!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Luckymomof2 11-05-2008 05:19 PM

Good afternoon lovey ladies.

Christian: WTG on another lb lost forever!!!!

fullsteam: Good for you for making sure you catch up on your water itake. I know I don't drink near enough.

lene: Congrats on the loss. Just stick around here daily for the motivation and I know you can reach your Thanksgiving goal.

I'm feeling good today....
My eating had been awsome and I'm doing more and more exercise.
Today I did 30 minutes on the elliptical, may not sound like a whole lot but I put it on the interval training workout, IT KICKED MT BUTT!
On some of those hill I thought I'd just fall over and it was hard to not just give up in the middle of the workout but I did it!
Enough computer time for me to. ttyl <3

Hattie22 11-05-2008 06:12 PM

Hi everyone:wave:

I was caught up in the election...

Christian: WAY TO GO!!!! You are awesome!! Back on the losing road again:turkey:

Luckymom: What I meant by eating clean...eating OP without anything unhealthy. If you are calorie counting that would be not including oreos in your calories.:smug: AND...I have no doubt that you can lose 6lbs by Thanksgiving! GO! GO! :running:

Hey another idea...who wants to pledge to post at least once everyday until Thanksgiving? I will!

Urockmom: So glad to see you back! Glad you are feeling better! Congrats on the loss!! I had to laugh about the on then off then on...I do that too..just around the room:rofl:

Lene: Wow! You can really work out! 14 miles? :bike2:

Fullsteam: I also write everything down and I find it is absolutely great! I can always look for ideas on those days I can't figure what I am going to have. :write: I also write down activity or non-activity with excuse so I can see it and be honest the next time I try to use that excuse. Writing it down keeps me on track. I got a cute little notebook that goes everywhere with me. The notebook also has a little flap that I keep a calorie counter(from online) and an old pic of myself (thinner days). I am now on my second notebook and was thrilled when I finished the first. Just something healthy completed gives me good feelings.

I missed my exercise on Tuesday night and this morning. :( I am going to do something tonight!! Really ...I am. I think I lost two more lbs but I am kind of nervous to post because it tends to go up and down. I don't like to post until I am sure. So I will wait until tomorrow.
Here's to our health and happiness!!!

Christian 11-05-2008 09:30 PM

Hi everyone!!

It has been another wonderful day :D

Fullsteam- It is the same one from TV, I watched the extreme makeover show and decided to see if it works as well as they say it does ...so we shall see right ;)

lene- I have dont just a little in their rooms so far, but I shampooed the carpet in the family room today..next on to the laundry room and then I will hit Megans room, I am feeling much better just seeing the changes from the kitchen though, it was a wreck

urockmom- I will be looking for you everyday now girl...we can do it!! :cheer:

Shy- Way to go on not quitting in the middle of that workout :carrot:

Hattie- I will be looking for your weigh in tommorow, you rock girl!

Well I am off to bed, I am so sleepy tonight, guess it was shampooing that carpet , catch you all in the morning

Christian 11-06-2008 08:23 AM

Good morning team!
I am just doing my morning check in so I will not cheat  So far so good! 5 days and no mistakes, here is to 22 more! :carrot:
How is your day so far?? ;)

barbarajean2605 11-06-2008 08:47 AM

Sorry I haven't been on lately. I just lot all motivation after I was sick and then TOM came. I finally got back to eating right, but I haven't exercised in a week. I'm going to today. Thankfully, I have lost what I gained (just some ounces) and a pound. I don't know if I'll make it to my goal, but it should be close.

Hope everyone is having a good Thursday! :carrot:

Christian 11-06-2008 09:01 AM

Barb- You can do it sis! Way to to go getting back on track, You have done so well since September and I know you will reach any goal you have set for yourself

FullSteamAhead 11-06-2008 09:06 AM

Good morning everyone :)

Sounds like everyone is rocking it! :carrot::carrot: We have exactly 3 weeks from today until Thanksgiving.

urockmom, so nice to see you back! :) I'm sorry to hear that that cold has been "kicking" you around, you give it a good :kickbutt: kickback. Hang in there , you will get better. As for your good news, I think that is terrific! I really do! The fact that you were able to lose a lb. (and congrats on that :carrot:) and even do exercise while not feeling well, I don't know how you managed that one. I havn't exercised in 2 weeks! I still have some coughing fits and the bronch. but as of a few days now not feeling sick no more so I think I'm going to need to give myself a good kick to get back to it urockmom. I got out of the groove! I didn't feel like I was OP either (eating was erratic) and it bugged me but I think your doing amazing under the circumstances and in general so hang in there, things will begin to stabilize as your feeling better.

Lene, I carried around my big mug of a cup with me everywhere yesterday! lol. I got in a lot of water and it flushed some fluids out for sure, I just love that feeling. I felt hungry a bit after lunch so I drank some more water and picked up the vaccum cleaner and started vacuuming and keeping busy....then more water! That hunger or inkling to have something passed after a short while. THe T.V is bad, as all they show are food commercials to tease and tempt us! I'm going off on a tangent now :D.

Luckymom, I am glad your feeling good and eating awesome, etc. :) wtg girl! :cheer2: on the exercise, sounds like you got a great workout. Keep up the good work : ).

Hi Hattie : ) That's neat about the little notebook that goes everywhere with you : ). You know something? You just gave me a great idea! I record my exercise too but when I dont do it, I dont record WHY! That would be an absolutely perfect thing for me to do right now...yeahh, ty
Goodluck with the weigh-in, you have been working so hard and you have hung in there despite any frustration or stall...that is inspiring! Keep up the great work : ).

Christian, wtg on another wonderful day! :cheer: Keep rockin' it sis : ).
Ohhh, regarding the Michael Thurman....so it is the same thing I was thinking of. THat looks like a super program, DH saw it once on T.V and was very interested in pursuing it. Regarding the cleaning, I always feel better when the house is in order and you know, a clean house seems to help along with my clean eating too, it's wild. lol

As for me, yesterday went very well and as planned. I feel like things are getting back to normal and I have a grip on things so that's a good feeling. A lot of water on the agenda for today as well.
The weather is miserable here ladies, rainy and grey. Apparently the sun wont be out until Sunday so I best keep as busy as possible. If I'm smart, I will hop on the treadmill today. I am not sick no more and quite frankly I am wondering if I got lazy, gulp! This is something I am going to have to work on so this is def. up there as my primary goals.
I think everyone is doing awesome, it's a new day for us all...let it be a great and successful day for us. I am thinking about my meal plans for the day (since yesterday). I had planned to go grocery shopping and get a roast chicken for tonight but I am super hesitant to go in this horrendous rain. I have some frozen cooked haddock on hand that I cooked last week. I never really freeze anything (until recently), can you freeze cooked fish like that? Does anyone know? Do you think it's still good?

FullSteamAhead 11-06-2008 09:19 AM

I just saw the new posts! morning CHristian and barb :)

CHristian, right on! :high:

Hi barb : ). wtg on getting back on track. I hope your feeling better now. That is super that you lost what you gained. My goal is way up there too, I will know more tomorrow. I am going to just do the best I can as well, the important thing is to just do our best and eat healthy. Keep up the good work. OOps, I ahve to go, kitty broke in here to come and see me, going to check on my baby.

Christian 11-06-2008 09:40 AM

Fullsteam- You sure can freeze that fish, I do it sometimes, just be sure to re heat it on medium heat in the microwave when you rewarm it

urockmom 11-06-2008 11:49 AM

Good morning everyone!

Hope everyone is having a healthy, OP day. Busy morning this morning as DD had oral surgery so I had to be up and about and am now on call with ice, water, advil, etc. Anyway, we'll get through it. I wasn't able to exercise yesterday due to crazy schedule and parent-teacher conferences so I am feeling bad about that but I did stay OP, drank all my water, and had my apple.

Barbara- GREAT to have you back and here is some :dust: to keep that motivation up for the next three weeks.

Fullsteam-You get on that treadmill and I'll get on that elliptical. Let's kick it together!! :kickbutt:

Hattie-We both have weigh ins tomorrow. Let's keep our fingers crossed all day! :)

Shy- Way to go on the exercise! I do the elliptical all the time but I can't handle the hills. You go girl!

Christie-Congrats on the 5 days! I know you can make it all the way.

Everyone else--Have a great day! Drink that water! And let's keep :carrot: to Turkey Day!

Oh, one more thing, I don't know where it's gone but back in Sept. there was a post that said it has been proven that the more disorganized you are, the more likely it is that you will be overweight. So...keep on cleaning! :D
