  • Quote: what's a healthy BMI number? And what's the 30-day shred? Losing inches sounds great. Did anyone take their measurements before they started? I didn't because it usually gets me depressed. I generally just go by how my clothes fit. When my pants start to fall off my hips I'll know I've lost inches!!

me too---thats how i do it by jean sizes---

the 30 day shred is a exercise dvd that is about 20 minutes per level---there are three levels and you're supposed to do like 10 days per level for 30 days ----oh and its from NBC's the biggest loser's jillian micheals--- i dont watch the show or anything but since joining on here now i want to watch it if only i had the time--

    * If your BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9, you're an ideal weight for your height.

    * If your BMI is between 25 and 29.9, you're over the ideal weight for your height.

  • oohhh iv had another good result this week. got a couple of nights out next week so il be increasing my exercise levels to try to keep making progress.

hope everyone is doing well x
  • Can i jump in now? I so want to lose 20lbs by christmas. I have been losing but not exercisng so my weight loss has slowed down. TIme to add exercise back in and get it going again!! I started back lifting weights last night and shocked myself by being able to lift what i was in the spring. I will jump on the minitrampoline today!!!!
For me drinking lots of water is the key to weight loss also!!
  • hi dgramie and welcome to the challenge. im with you on the drinking water issue. hows the exercise going?
  • OO.. is it too late to join this group?????
  • I'd like to try for this, too. I'd love to be at least one size smaller by Christmas!
  • Lose 20 lbs by Christmas
Hi all. I hope it is ok to join in? I would like to be down about 25 lbs by New Years. I do WW. ONE of my biggest struggles is keeping to my daily points value (without using the weekly points). I never seem to get to the weekend where I always have issues! I get 39 points- which is a lot, but obviously have issues with food. I think I want to try CORE this week, but again, weekends are my problems. I also like to indulge in a Smart One snack each evening (and maybe a hot cocoa in the AM) and by the time the week is done, I have no weekly points left. I know I am spewing it all out right now so forgive me..anyone have any suggestions that have worked for them?

I look forward to going on this journey with you all!

  • hello, RMHismySuperSoldier, cinlo ad erismile79, welcome to the thread. i started almost 3 weeks ago so got a big head start on you guys..... but if you think its achievable from now till christmas.. or wanna set differnt goals then great... goodluck and keep posting to let us know how you are doing.

erismile,, if ur struggling with your points then do give the core plan a go for a week and see how it goes. just look at it as 'one week' if its not for you the your smart one snacks will still be there next week and we'll just have to think of a way to re-jig your points.

goodluck everyone, my weigh day is tomorrow so hopefully il have good news,
  • hi all. lost 1lb this week small difference i know but its a loss!. hope u all going well x
  • clarelou, you are doing great!! That's 11 lbs in 3 weeks. As for me, I struggled the last 2 weeks actually went up a pound then lost 2 so my weigh in this morning put me at 215. Honestly I thought I'd be back at my starting weight so I was glad to see the scale is heading in the right direction now, although slower than I'd like. I definitely slip on the weekends too with my exercising and eating/drinking. I think not logging on for two weeks could also be the problem. I think regular posting might help keep us all focused. Hope everyone has a good week.
  • Hi everyone

I haven't posted in a while. I was stalled with the loss and decided it might be because my calorie count was too low considering my exercise was increased. I adjusted my count from 1400 to 1600 and I loss 2 lbs. I hope that was the answer.

I am going to try and post everyday even if I am stalled.

Congrats to everyone that has lost!

Keep going!! Christmas is around the corner...well almost!
  • Hey where is everybody?

Just checking in. Christmas stuff in stores already! Get going to meet those goals!
