bigsexy 10-10-2008 08:32 AM

Ohh--Wanting To! That's what I'm hoping people will start to say with me. I did think I looked slimmer this morning even if no one else noticed! :)

princess2323 10-10-2008 12:44 PM

bigsexy 10-13-2008 08:00 AM

That's my problem.. I have great intentions, but can't seem to find the time or energy.... I found that if I do my sit-ups/crunches before I get up, I can get them done, AND it wakes me up.
I have not gotten 100 done every day, but have gotten at least 50 done. I do a set of 25, then rest for two or three minutes, and do another set, then do a set of right and a set of left by swinging my knees off to the side to get a different angle on the abs.
I can feel the muscles working, which usually helps motivate me. It feels like I am working hard while I am doing these, and I am not very sore during the day, so I think I am on the right track.
:-)

Well it has been 3 days of no sit-ups. I guess its time to start back up!

I did my 100 this morning before I got out of bed. They might not be as good quality as if I did them on the floor, but they got done!

Expreso 10-16-2008 04:28 AM

Righto. 100 Sit up every night before I go to bed. Let's see if I can pull this one off as well.

bigsexy 10-16-2008 07:48 AM

Well I did 50 yesterday and it about killed me! I was sweating and had a red face and everything--boy, I'm out of shape. But there's 50 done.

i <3 sit ups... never was really into them until a bit ago... i haven't done them in ages but this thread has inspired me to start doing them again. I do 150 leg raises for my knee therapy (strengthening from the surgery i had a little over a month ago) each night... i'm going to start doing sit ups too and if i do both, i'll put a smiley face on my food log for it... i'm also going to try to get back into the Walk Away the Pounds DVD's... but it really depends on how my knee takes to it... i'll be wearing the brace, but i don't know if i will be able to do the sidesteps things... i'm sure i'll know pretty quick if my knee is ready for it

good job bigsexy
I am not doing, "flat on the floor, legs straight, all the way up and down" situps.. I am lying with knees bent and just picking up my upper body until my shoulder blades are off of the floor, curling up, then back down. Being careful not to pull or push on my neck. There is some momentum doing them this way, and I can do 25 at a time. Then I rest for two or three minutes, and do it again.... by the last set, it's very hard, but I know I am doing something, so it's a "good hurt".
LOL

yea Sally!
make them as easy as you can and you will be able to do more every week.

I started the "100 push up challenge" a couple of months ago... ha! I thought I would be able to do 10 or 12 pushups to start, until I actually got down on the floor and tried... and could not do one! I could not believe it!!
I have been keeping at it and every day I try to do another one.... now can do two or three... I am going to keep after it. I think that in another month I will be able to do 10 or 12 (the 10 or 12 that I thought I would easily be able to do several months ago) but at least I am heading in the right direction.
It took me many years to get this out-of-shape, but that was a lot easier than getting back IN shape.... which is going to take a while....
The idea that I can't even do a proper push-up is kind of frightening....
