Default Couch to 5K ~ Week 4

Yayyy Week 4 is here already!

to everyone who stuck with it during week 1 and week 2 and week 3 or are just sticking it out and doing something!!

Week four is much tougher but just hang in there and do the best you can and continuously try to improve !!

So for week 4 the plan is this:

Brisk 5 minute warm up walk
Jog 3 minutes
Walk 90 seconds
Jog 5 minutes
Walk 2 and 1/2 minutes
Jog 3 minutes
Walk 90 seconds
Jog 5 minutes

This looks like it is going to be much tougher! If you just feel like you absolutely can't do it try some of the following tips:

1. Do the current weeks schedule as much as you can until you just can't anymore....finish up that workout with a walk until you reach 30 minutes. Try to get a little further during each workou that you do.

or

2. Stay on week 3 and maybe just try to do 1 or 2 days at week two. If you can get your 3rd day on week 4 then you have accomplished something!

Good luck I know this is gonna be hard but if it were easy everyone would be doing it!!! LOL! We are the tough ones who actually signed up though!

Oh my gosh! I'm in shock. I did week four and I didn't collapse!! I'm going slow.. but i'm doing it and hopefully I will speed up with each passing day.

My body couldn't really differientiate between 3 and five minutes so I think that's what made it ok. If you can do three.. you can do five! ( that's what I keep telling myself anyway) haha

WE can DOOOOO IT!

Man, maybe I'm chugging along too hard, I've been going 5.3 on my runs! Well, since it looks like you both got it done, I'm going to DL the podcast for this week and go freakin do it. When I next post in here, I will have completed W4D1

bleh, I'll say I did w4 d.5 I only got 1/2 through the last 5 minute run, and then my legs were burning too much to go on. Still, I did all of the first 3 runs, and I kept going until I hit 2.0 miles (and 31 minutes).

All in all, I think I'll try to stick with week 4 on wednesday.

I ended up doing w4d1 today. Um yeah..not a good idea to do when you are sick. I just did 27 min which was 2 miles for me. kicked my booty of course but I made it through the whole thing..I went slower than usual.

yikes this could be the death of me!

You'll do fine faux (or did fine)! Well, I'm starting back at week 3 next week. I was out of it all this week, and I think that starting week 4 again would be too much. New school semester ate my life this week.

I will try not to be too busy...LOL or overload myself!! I have to stop making excuses and exercise 30 min a day at least 3 times a week...I still haven't started week 4 yet...I'm gonna have to do week 4 and week 5 next week

I was on vacation 8/22 until today. Finished week 2 before I left. Plan to start week 3 on Monday. I did get good walks in while camping, and even threw in some jogging intervals . But it was very high (almost 8000 feet elevation) and very very little level ground. So the uphill hopefully strengthened me up some.

On the upside, deer crossed the road in front of me one day, I startled them off the hiking trail one day, and one day I had 4 deer watching me stretch afterwards . On an even more upside, did not see any bear!!
