Oh - I have struggled this week. Last Friday I hit 149.7 which was wonderful!!
Then on Friday night and Saturday afternoon I met up with my new bf and ate out on both occasions. Sunday morning I was 150.6 and I have struggled since then to get it back down. In fact this morning I was UP to 151!!
So I'm starting with that weight and maybe I'll get a whoosh in the next couple of days.
SW: 151
CW: 151
GW: 146
Hopefully next time I see the 140s on the scale, it'll be for keeps this time.
I went through my wardrobe and bundled up a ton of clothes to go the the charity shop which are too big for me. my mum said "Why don't you keep them, - you might need them again one day!" Um - NO!! I don't ever intend to fit into them again!! Well, I did keep some stretchy stuff, but I packed those up with my maternity stuff - because, new bf and all, you never know what the future holds!!
So....1 down and 4 to go!! I was really worried about posting a 1 lb loss in one day.....thought people may be scepticle...but it actually looks pretty average....
This is my first week in my life style change, and I tend to lose quicker my first week....guess its due to water weight loss. However, its supposed to be that TOM tomorrow??!!
At any rate...I have lost my very FIRST pound!!!!
YAYYYY me.....and YAYYYYY for you guys motivating me!!
wtg mckinziesmomma! I often lose 1-2lbs overnight. I sometimes gain a bit back the next day or don't lose any for a couple of days. There's nothing "normal" about weight loss! Congrats on the first pound!
This post-TOM whoosh is coming along nicely (though I have the feeling it's about to settle):
SW: 198.5
CW: 196.5 (down 2!)
GW: 193.5
CONGRATS TYLER!!!!!!! at making it into the 150s. You're a rockstar at this!
Robsia - I agree. Get rid of them. I do that partly just so that I don't have a security blanket should I gain weight - if no clothes will fit me at a higher size, I have to lose weight or go naked. lol.
But it might be fun to keep one pair of old pants or something so that you can remind yourself at the end of the journey of how far you've come.
AWESOME! to theresia for getting through that barrier!
mckinziesmomma - often I find that it's as random as Fat Chick B Gone says. There are days when I work my a$$ off, and I gain, there are days when I do nothing and I lose. Then obviously there are days when I see reward for good deeds done, and punishment for bad, but weight loss is a crazy rollercoaster. I lost 3.5 pounds two nights ago, and last night I lost another 2. I mean, that can't be 5.5 pounds of body weight lost in those two nights, but I have been working really, really hard for two weeks, and my weight didn't go anywhere. Now I have my 5.5 pound whoosh, and it feels great.
I'm really busting my ... ahem ... at the gym this week. I just need the stress relief, I think. So I'm expecting to have some retained water from all the workout ... but I seem to be losing anyway.
my mum said "Why don't you keep them, - you might need them again one day!" Um - NO!! I don't ever intend to fit into them again!!
Amen to that. I got rid of ALL of my "fat" clothes, once I hit a size 12. Of course it means my closet is practically bare - I have just enough outfits to get me through the week. But I'm determined not to buy any more because I know I'm going to drop another couple of sizes before this is all over.
I did keep ONE skirt ... that I actually put on the other day ... and realized you could fit another person in there with me. That made me grin all over.

There are certain social/family events that if at all possible I try to sched. a work-out- prior to. It greatly enhances my tolerance for all around craziness and ridiculousness.
My husband tends to the melancholy and his work-outs are imperative to his mood stability.
So..keep on rockin'it chickie! Benefits all around!
But it might be fun to keep one pair of old pants or something so that you can remind yourself at the end of the journey of how far you've come.
I have kept one pair of jeans back from when I first started this weight loss journey, when I weighed in at 213. When I finally hit my goal of 135 - I will take THAT picture - you know with the skinny girl in the big pants.
Well done to all the losers - some good losses here.
