  • Shari - I'm a chicken nuggets girl... they actually aren't horrible for you if you don't eat the whole 20 piece (yes that was a normal meal for me in the past) Yesterday I limited myself to 5. and amazingly - THAT WAS ENOUGH! I think it also helps that I'm eating a snack between breakfast and lunch. But to realize that 1/4th of what you used to eat is enough - really puts things into perspective.

    Today is the walking video day. It's easier then the other 2 videos - but still one heck of a workout! 3 miles! It'll be good for me. If the weather keeps getting warmer - DD and I might start walking outside next week - that'll be nice.

  • Pigginpodgey! Congratulations! We have all watched the ‘Scottish man’ story unfold and now you are getting married! Whoo hoo. Your ring sounds beautiful, it sounds exactly like something I would like, unfortunately my finance bought me a ring that’s not really my style (Opps) I was expecting that to happen, I don’t wear jewelry much and he has very different taste to me. I love what it stands for though : )

    Enygirl, you are getting engaged aswell! (or are you already engaged?) Congratulations. Well done for staying with your plan.

    JasonsLea – Nice camera! Did you get the apartment? Fingers crossed it all worked out. I love your attitude to minor set backs. It is so easy to get disheartened.

    Our household can’t seem to get rid of this cold, I am still ill and hacking crap up, so is my boyfriend, and now the dog is all bunged up. Everyone at work is passing the germs around. It makes running or other activity a little difficult. Yesterday I was climbing a hill and I spent the whole way up coughing and spluttering.

    Yesterday as I was feeling sorry for myself I ate a lot and thought I can start again today. I did go for a little bike ride this morning and after dark I will take the Dog to the park. I really don’t feel like it though I have cold sweats and I have spent the whole Sunday working.

    I just marinated some chicken in Chinese BBQ species which I will put on the grilled and serve with salad. I am trying to get away from thinking that a plate of carbs and deep friend ‘something’ is a tasty meal.

    The volcano hike is set for the end of April, that only gives me 4 weeks to get in shape!

    I'm not engaged yet - but my BF of 2 & 1/2 years told me last week that he was looking at rings. He won't propose to me until at least June (long story)... but I know it's on it's way. I'm working hard on day 3. Actually the reason I jumped online right now was to walk away from the Easter Baskets full of candy!

  • Dub ~ Now I'm not so sure I'm going to get my apartment. You have to make three times the rent and I only make twice! And my mama can't cosign for me this time. I'll find out for sure tomorrow. I don't know what I'm gonna do if I don't get this place! I seriously just love it.

  • Im not weighing until the 31st of this month, I had a bad weekend eating wise, scottish man and I were a bit slobby this weekend. This week he is on a training exercise and away for the whole week, so im going to use this week to get back into my exercise routine and healthy eating. I find it very hard to move my butt to the gym when i could be spending time with him.... not good!! But I need to get myself moving I want to be happy walking around naked!! So tonight im off the gym and Im planning on lots of healthy food today. Right going to go eat some breakfast now, some cereal with raspberries, yum yum!! Have a good day ladies.
  • Day 3 went down the drain.. The Easter candy, cheesy popcorn and chips won out. Joe wanted to watch a movie - right when I was going to work out - and Snuggle time ALWAYS wins out. UGH.

    Back on WEED today though!

  • I went for a bike ride this morning and ate a small lunch. I have to bring the dog out later and so after all that I get to eat some cheese cake. I HAVE TO or I wont have eatten enough calories for the day : ). I don't want to go into starvation mode...what better way to avoid that than eatting cheese cake?

    I am feeling in slightly better health today. I think I mentioned that even my Dog was sick. I talked to the vet this morning and I had to get her to the vet immediately. There is a flu like virus that has been killing lots of the street dogs in my area during the last month. When I went to the house to get the dog she couldn't walk three steps without collapsing. Poor thing. She has all the medication she needs now and it is 100% curable. The dog is a trooper, she has had some terrible illnesses that she picked up when she lived on the streets and against all odds she has fought them and is now a fat happy lump.
  • Piggin and Eny ~ I suppose to can put a positive spin to this: you both are so happy with your men, you're forgetting about exercising and such!

  • I am very happy with him - we've definately seen our struggles though! Thanks for the positive spin. I need that sometimes!

    Everything is on track so far today... Need to think positive - and remember the goal! HEALTHY, SEXY BODY!!!

    Okay, so today ended my first week of intuitive eating. I've had some good, okay, and WTF Shari? days and the result: *drumroll* down 4.8! I got on the scale like six times and the number stayed the same! I must have did something right.....
  • YAY! I recieved my swimsuit today! Simple purple one, but very nice. Water aerobics, here I come!

    I COMPLETED DAY 3! I'm so proud! Now I just have to days 4 - 7.

    Not much thins morning - kinda tired... didn't want to get out of bed. Showed up to work 15 mins late - but I still have 6 hours of vertime so far this week - so I'm not stressed.

    Just having my morning cup of tea and checking in!! I feel bleurgh today, i think the last few days consuming crap has paid its toll, my body has had enough! I have an upset stomach, so time to start treating my poor body better again. TOM is rapidly approaching also, so im sure that isnt helping.

    My exercising is going well. I have started looking into the c25k running and did the first session last night. I quit smoking on Monday; I expect to put on weight because of the metabolism drop and the extra snacking so I am trying to exercise more to combat this and to continue losing weight. Last time I gave up I ballooned.

    I spent this morning at the house instead of the office; my Dog is not getting better in fact she is getting worse. She can’t stand at all now; she couldn’t even lift herself to vomit. I am very worried about her. I can’t get hold of the Vet to see if this is a normal reaction to the medicine.
  • Dub - good job quitting! I quit Sept 24,2007 .. and I have to admit I've had 36 cigarettes since then. I stress smoke at times. - But I feel SO much better now! I didn't gain any weight when I quit - but I like you, worked out - and drank a boat load of water everyday!!!

    Piggin' put away the junk and grab an apple! We're getting BACK ON TRACK!
