Mom23 - The newbies are whooping your butts because WE are NEW. It's always easier to lose weight at the start of a diet. You know that....

Catch me in a couple months and I think I'll be down to a pound a week if I'm lucky.

Shrinking- I am counting calories for my plan, but seem to struggle so much with how many calories I actually need to lose. I am hoping that the burn meter on caloriecount is accurate enough to help. Otherwise I don't know how to figure out my daiy calorie requirements.

Well I see I am not the only one stalled. I keep playing around with a couple of pounds. I was 227 today, down a 1/2 from March 1. I just hope it stays off and doesn't go right back up.

Congrats to all those losing.

Michellenew – I weigh less in the morning too, so that’s my official weight for the day and I leave it there. I used to weigh 3 or 4 times a day, but it is too crazy making.

Indianamom & Fluffy – way to go on the losses! Looks like you two are going to have BIG March loses!!!

Lizzy – breaking up when you live with someone is hard. I’ve been there and it took months before he was in a place to move out, which made moving on slow and more complex than it should have been. When you're done with it, you just need to move on, but we're here for you to vent / rant or whatever you need. It’s great that you stood up for yourself - do something special for you. Good luck.

2Beautiful – I have a tendency to stall in my loses from time to time too. It is so frustrating and I am ashamed to say usually puts me right at the bottom of a bag of chips or cookies or both. The only things to do at these times, are our best, and just keep trucking on until the scale catches up.

For those looking for new recipes try epicurious.com – you have to register, but it’s free and the search features are advanced, so you can really pinpoint what you’re looking for. I have salad with grilled chicken or tuna everyday for lunch, so I’m not much of a help. Sorry.

I got weights and cardio in tonight – but I’m only at 2 liters of water. I had a long meeting this afternoon so I cut the liquids back a bit so I wouldn’t have to run in and out of the room.
Great night everyone!!

at work...i hate it here.
but that's besides the point. it's an internship that will end in a few months anyway.
Good job everyone on their losses!!
One small personal response -- Adaem, I was really feeling exactly how you felt and so I went on eBay and got a WW slider to start counting points instead of calories, and it has definitely helped. I'm not weighing in until Monday but it really feels like a loss. I would recommend looking into WW -- it really does prepare you for a lifestyle change, not a diet (I believe that is their ad campaign at this point).
Later taters (mmmmmmmmm taters)

Indianamomoftwo and dandk – way to go with the losses!!

I hear you about hating work right now, Lizzy. Today was such a long, messed up day – I actually never made it to the gym. My gym is in the building I work in, but I left so late I would have missed the last express train home and it was already nearing 7pm. My plan is to go at lunchtime tomorrow and knock off the cardio I missed today and then lift weights after work. Friday’s are usually more quiet, so this plan should work out.

Lizzy - Thanks for the suggestion on WW. I did WW after my 2nd baby and I did like it. I still have the stuff and a "home made" slider (I copied it from a friend and put it together myself) Maybe I should give that a try again. DH is planning on starting up with my on Monday so maybe that will help too. I am leaving tomorrow for a weekend away with my sister so we will see what Monday says. I will be happy to still be at the same.

See you all on Monday.

Mousai: Hello! What concert are you going to see? Sounds like fun.

2B2: I haven’t figured out how I am going to shake things up. I just know I need to.

FluffyK: Here’s wishing that you never, never come to a standstill. That would be great, huh? Great job so far.

Chinchilla: I hope you are having a great day.

Indianamom: Congrats on making it to the 5 pound mark so fast.

Dandk: Congrats on loosing 6 pounds so far. That is great.

S: Do you know what you are going to do after the internship ends?

Adaem: I hope you have/had a great weekend.

This is where we are standing so far for the end of the first week of March. Great job to those that have posted a loss. Going into the weekend, I hope you will be motivated to stay on plan as much as possible. I know that it can be hard, but think how FANTASTIC you are going to look this summer.

Hugs!!!!!
