It showed! I lost 3 pounds!!! Which puts me ahead of schedule for my christmas goal - which is a good thing because it seems like its just a matter of time before things go slower. 10 pounds and 12 weeks until xmas!

WOOOOOT Aimee!
|
that's awesome aimee....way to go!!!
i hate cars, shari....if its not one thing that needs to be fixed, then its another thing. If I could, I'd ride a bike everywhere....or maybe a moped? Lol, that would be a funny sight! I'm still here.....haven't been doing much when it comes to weight loss....am up a little on the scale, but not too much. But Ireally have to buckle down adn start getting with it....especially since I have to start following a budget. Me and my bf spend waaaay too much money eating out. Not so good for thebody or the wallet. Its just that sometimes I'm way too lazy to cook so we end up eating junk from the street. But I planned a really easy menu this week so hopefully, it'll be easy to follow. And I gotta start moving my butt more. I'm feeling way too fluffy. Take care!!! |
AIMEE!! CONGRATS!!!! 3 pounds is fantastic! WOOOO!!!
My scale was real nice on Saturday showing 160.2 but this morning it said 163.6 - damn TOM (I hope that is all it is) Keiko and I won 9th place in a photo contest this month! woo! Same one she one first in a few months ago, I am so happy :) Hope everyone had a good weekend! |
HAPPY OCTOBER ALL! Ro ~ Don't even get me started on my dumb car! I swear, it's schizo! Courtnie ~ Congrats to you and Keiko! Here's to a new and hopefully productive for all month! I was looking at my WW wi booklet and realized that Sept was just a month of steady gaining. No more! While the promotion is still valid, I'm going to rejoin WW and get the new material. Just to see what's going down. I highly doubt I'll make my orignial Halloween goal but I'm going to keep the ticker and get as close as POSSIBLE! My BFF fixed my MP3 player so now I actually have some music! Can anyone say GYM! |
courtnie - where's the photo?? I wanna see!!!

Courtnie - cute picture! Congrats!! And nicely done with the scale.. you are getting there eh!!
Shari - the gym is so much nicer with an mp3 player - hope you are putting it to good use! :) Gym memberships where I live are SO darn expensive - I haven't been able to justify 50-100 bucks a month. Rosario - I hear you on the whole eating out thing - we do it FAR too often as well. I am soooo tired after work I never feel like cooking, Josh is really good with the cooking thing - thank goodness for him! But he also likes to cook really high fat foods. I am doing alright - started counting points yesteday and somehow got caught up in eating out last night - so it was a 56 (!!!!!) point day. INSANE! So today will be better - and it helps that I only work 4 hours tonight. Scale still says 250 this morning - so hopefully I can get my crap together for WI on Saturday! -Aimee |
Courtnie - those pics are so cute!!!
aimee - me and my bf made a budget...we're trying to save money for a nice down payment on a car next year so we decided we have to eat in the house. my problem was I was throwing groceries away every week. I'd buy food according to menus for the week, then decide not to cook, eat out, and the food would go bad. What a waste of money!!! maybe u and josh should cook together that way you can kind of control what type of foods he's cooking. that's always fun. so i'm getting a bit better. not really eating what I should be eating but I could be a lot worse. and I'm starting to work out a little.....well it's only been one day but that's a start. for some extra motivation you guys should go join that points challenge in the 20-somethings forum....check it out.... http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=124123 talk to ya later!! |
Rosario - I haven't been counting points up until really today - yesterday was a total bust. Last time I did WW, I didn't eat the same things as Josh - he was good with making sure I was eating the right things though. We work opposite shifts a lot of the time so it's not really weird that we'd eat different things at different times.
So I checked out the points challenge - totally a good idea, but I don't think it's right for me right now. I won't be exercising in Oct thanks to my temp work commute 2.5-4 hours a day, ick. Well today I am working 6pm-10pm, which is working out pretty nicely for me! I had a good breakfast, good lunch, made my lunch for tomorrow.. I feel pretty good about things right now. I also drank 2 glasses of water - unheard of! lol. -Aimee |
Rant!
Grrr! I've been a bad girl today! One word: Krispy Kreme! (wait, that's two!) Damn food service worker week! Not that they really care about us. Everyone else gets kickass chicken salad and drinks from the canteen during their week but we get cold doughnuts?! Bias anyone? I know I shouldn't be complaining because I DEFINITELY can't control myself around that chicken salad but it just pisses me off. And my sup was a pain in the *** today so major headache. Sorry for the vent. |
Thanks everyone!
That points challenge is so fun, I used to do it... I like I will again this month! Yesterday there is a HUGE LONG company meeting, at the end was food and drinks, I didnt eat or drink too much but still went over calories... I know it did! But it was a big deal, our 10 year party and stuff so it was worth it :) Friday tomorrow! yay! My little sister is having her 12th birthday sleep over at my house tomorrow night... uh... fun? |
 everyone!
How was the party Courtnie? Down 1.2 this week! I tried this recipe today and I wanted to share: Very quick, easy, and delish! CandyLike Almonds You need: 20 raw almonds zero calorie butter spray 1 tsp cinnamon 1 packet no calorie sweetner *Preheat oven to 350 degrees. *Spread almonds in a single layer on a nonstick cooking pan. *Roast for 7-10 minutes. *Pour in a bowl, sprinkle on cinnamon and sweetner, toss until well coated. *Cool 5 mins. Makes 2 servings (10 almonds per serving). Nutritionals: I left the sheet at home so all I can tell you right now is that it was 70 calories, 1.5 g fat, and 2g fiber. I'll get the complete list for yall tomorrow. |
 everyone!
So today was a good day.....healthwise. I made the decision to go to nightshift today. I start Sunday. My BFF works nights and she says it's great. Not only are the supers more laid back, you get to leave early AND you get paid more (almost $1 more)! Today was the final straw for me in day shift. They are so full of crap. I didn't want to leave Birmingham with a bad taste in my mouth. Car's in the shop, this time for the last time for a while hopefully. Finally decided to just go ahead and take it to the 'real' mechanics....the ones that will tell me EXACTLY what's wrong, not what MIGHT be wrong, and will go ahead and fix it. Should get it back in a week or so. I WENT TO THE GYM TODAY! It was great! I felt fantastic! I walked there from the job. It was a nice day. Not a Shari day but nice. The sun was shining and it was warm but there was a nice breeze going so I didn't feel like I was going to die. It was an almost forty min walk then I got to the gym and did weights for another 30. My thighs were SCREAMING so I went into the sauna, first time in MONTHS. I missed it so much! Would have went into the whirlpool but TOM is here so no dice. Funny thing, a woman came in while I was in the steam room and sat down. She was bigger than me and FULLY DRESSED! I've never seen anyone dressed in anything more a swimsuit in the sauna. I kinda understand though. It took me a while to get used to walking around naked. The first couple of weeks, I just brought a huge towel from home and wrapped that around me. I'm a little more comfortable now, even though I still bring the towel when I remember. After that, I walked about five blocks to the library. I almost smacked the security guard though. He told me I couldn't come in because I had my work clothes in my bag! WTF?! He said 'rules' so I went outside, walked over to the research building (which is just a extension of the library) and ran into another security guard WHO LET ME IN!!! So the first guard was just a jerkoff. :p And now I'm here typing in the computer lab. And I'm going to do more walking soon cause I have to catch the bus to my neighborhood. WOW that's a long post! Oh and I'm OP today too......including NINE glasses of water so far! :D |
