No-Fail Fall!
Alright - here's a new thread! No failing! Thats gotta be out motto.. heh..
I am trying - truely I am.. but man oh man has it been hard lately! I am calling my health people at my work to see if I can get covered to do a weight loss program thats supervised by doctors. We shall see - I definitely need some doctors input on all of this - it's been really hard lately! I guess it doesn't help that I'm going to cosmetics school tomorrow and they are providing breakfast, lunch and all our snacks! I am going to load up on veggies instead of the yummy yummy hotel food! hehe.. -Aimee |

Courtnie - school was good - got myself 3 free products! 1 of which I'll actually use! It's an eyecream, which I don't have... so it's good. I did pretty good, ate lighter than normal.. and after work I stayed away from a samosa and just had a coffee. Damn temptations! How is your WL going?? I can't remember what you were at when we ended WW.
I made a salad for tomorrow's lunch, and have a hard boiled egg to put on an english muffin for breakfast. I am lucky that near my work there isn't much around - there IS a McD's but it's out of sight so I always forget its there. -Aimee |

courtnie - hey girlie....how've ya been? I've been really bad :(.....I havent worked out and have been eating all wrong. It doesnt help that I havent been to the grocery store to stock up on healthy stuff. But I am most def going to the gym tonite and keeping my butt on the elliptical for at least half an hour. I am in so much need of physical activity!! take care gals! |

I gained weight on my trip, I was 160 whatever my ticker says about two weeks before my trip and then it went up but this morning the scale said 161.8 so it is going.
There are all these weight lose threads on this other dog forum I am on and they kinda piss me off. I try and give advice - here I am I have lost 50 pounds and they blow me off like I'm ****ing ******ed - like I know nothing. They are talking about eating late in the day and I said it doesn't matter what time you eat it is what you eat - if you eat your normal x amount of calories plus an evening snack yah your not gonna lose or gain or whatever, but if you just spread it out and work in that evening snack it doesnt matter. It doesn't matter if you eat your dinner at 6 and 9, just dont eat it at both times. Anyway they totally don't believe me now its all off track saying "so if I eating 1500 calories once a day before I go to bed its the same as eating it though out the day?" well I think it is, I dunno if your results would be better either way, but you still eating 1500 calories right? I could be wrong, but who the **** does that anyone? I cant eat that eating a few hundred calories before bed is gonna screw you over. |

You know I found a guy who lost over 100 pounds by eating once a day, for him that was easiest. So he wrote some huge earticle and had a web page because he believed that was the best was. He could never eat more than a days worth of healthy food in one sitting, he strived for healthier stuff since he only ate once a day. But he said before he would over eat all day long and snacking killed him, so he went to once a day and lost tons of weight.
Well that and he exercised of course, but again he only did calestinics 20 min. each day and like a 10 min walk. It worked for him and just goes to show as long as your not being stupid you can probably do whatever works best for you and your life. You can give me all the advice you want sotypical! I need to lose close to what you do by the end, in fact if you can do me a favor and check out the thread in cal count. about trying to help my mom I would appreciate it! People are desperate for easy stuff and so the thought that they could maybe just cut out an evening snack and it will fix it all is all they care about. Until they get to the point where you are then they won't listen to anyone! I figure if all the trainers and people who help people get in shape and lose weight FOR A LIVING say that all that matters is cal in cal out and getting exercise then maybe they are right. You don't get to keep a job like that without getting some results. |

I'm here... barely.
I've cut back on most dairy because it leaves crud in my chest that hinders me when I run. We'll see how long I can go with out a piece of cheese... my scale seems to be stuck in the 250's, but since I've been running more I can see my body changing. My legs are only jiggily on the inside now :) ... we'll get there ladies |
I went to a product launch tonight - a boat cruise around Vancouver. The food was REALLY good, as were the desserts. But I stayed away from the booze - which was free btw! Baby steps..
I also found out that my work will NOT cover a weight loss program - which is frustrating because I feel like I need some outside help with this. I lose FAR too slowly!!! I am off to bed, I gotta get up in 5.5 hours for work! -Aimee |
Hey everyone!
I'm thinking of trying yoga again. Still waiting *impatiently* to see if Spirit Halloween will call me. I put the app in only last week but I wanna start NOW! Sarah says its lots of fun and I need MONEY! So I have to get my stepfather a really nice gift this year! He has been taking care of me since mama's gone. We went to the car part place today and he got me the much needed windshield wiper arm, headlight bulb, and the little button thing that rolls up my windows. Tomorrow we're going to get a door handle so I can stop reaching across the seat to open the passenger door! And he fixed my power steering so all I need to get is some fluid and I'm set! Plus he brought me lunch AND put VERY much needed gas in my car! YAY stepdaddy! Aimee ~ Don't start scrumping on sleep like I do. I'm trying to break out of the habit now! |
I am about to go madass on my stupid mattress! I have a had terrible backache for the last two days and I wanna cry! I can barely turn my head. I really wanted to go to BodyJam today. :cry:

I don't know if any of you will remember me but I was in some challenge threads with you last summer. I had lost 40 pounds for my sister-in-laws September wedding. After the wedding I found out I was pregnant....big surprise and put back on everything I lost. Now I am finally ready to make that journey again and hope you don't mind if I check in here with you all. good luck to all of you :) |

Hey! I am just popping in as I procrastinate putting on makeup and getting dressed.. heh. We have a HUGE reception full of presenters, head office people and food tonight - and tomorrow is the Grand Opening of my store location! Here's something completely horrifying for you all... they took my picture and put IT IN THE NEWSPAPER FOR EVERYONE TO SEE!! It was an alright picture - I definitely look fat though. 13 weeks until Christmas and my family comes - I had hoped to be in the low 200's by then, but at minimum I'd like to be 13 pounds down. Better than nothing!

aimee - I wanna see a picture!!! shari and courtnie - what is up with you gals???? well, i havent been around much because (surprise, surprise) I have not been doing much. I have pretty much been maintaining my 10 pound loss so that's a really good thing. But I do feel more puffy so it's time for me to start working out again. Starting is the hardest part for me and once I get past that, I pretty much rock it. <sigh> now alls I gotta do is start. Hopefully its tnite......I got my SI6 dvd and I love that workout and I've got my Ipod and Ima about to make a new playlist to motivate me. Here's to new beginnings!! Hope u all are well!! |

So I finally put the car in the shop and get it back today! He fixed the melted sparkplug so now I can actually crank the car and it stays crank up! My stepfather is going to put the radiator on for me cause the guy said that's what's been sucking up all my power steering fluid but I'm glad that it's running right now. GYM tomorrow! No matter what!!! |

Aimee ~ I was thinking of rejoining WW while it's free and getting the new material. Just to see what's new. No gym today but I did spend nearly three hours outside in that hot sun helping my stepdad move stuff out of the storage unit...and it was ALOT of stuff! So that MUST count for something!

Shari - any movement is better than none!! Today I walked for 20 minutes - only because my store secured off-site parking for our grand opening.. its 10 minutes each way!
Tomorrow I do a WI - I have been cutting WAY back on food, especially fast food! heh. I don't know if it'll show in my scale tomorrow morning - it's only been 3 days. Maybe ... you never know! -Aimee |
It showed! I lost 3 pounds!!! Which puts me ahead of schedule for my christmas goal - which is a good thing because it seems like its just a matter of time before things go slower. 10 pounds and 12 weeks until xmas!

i hate cars, shari....if its not one thing that needs to be fixed, then its another thing. If I could, I'd ride a bike everywhere....or maybe a moped? Lol, that would be a funny sight! I'm still here.....haven't been doing much when it comes to weight loss....am up a little on the scale, but not too much. But Ireally have to buckle down adn start getting with it....especially since I have to start following a budget. Me and my bf spend waaaay too much money eating out. Not so good for thebody or the wallet. Its just that sometimes I'm way too lazy to cook so we end up eating junk from the street. But I planned a really easy menu this week so hopefully, it'll be easy to follow. And I gotta start moving my butt more. I'm feeling way too fluffy. Take care!!! |

My scale was real nice on Saturday showing 160.2 but this morning it said 163.6 - damn TOM (I hope that is all it is) Keiko and I won 9th place in a photo contest this month! woo! Same one she one first in a few months ago, I am so happy :) Hope everyone had a good weekend! |

I was looking at my WW wi booklet and realized that Sept was just a month of steady gaining. No more! While the promotion is still valid, I'm going to rejoin WW and get the new material. Just to see what's going down. I highly doubt I'll make my orignial Halloween goal but I'm going to keep the ticker and get as close as POSSIBLE! My BFF fixed my MP3 player so now I actually have some music! Can anyone say GYM! |

Shari - the gym is so much nicer with an mp3 player - hope you are putting it to good use! :) Gym memberships where I live are SO darn expensive - I haven't been able to justify 50-100 bucks a month. Rosario - I hear you on the whole eating out thing - we do it FAR too often as well. I am soooo tired after work I never feel like cooking, Josh is really good with the cooking thing - thank goodness for him! But he also likes to cook really high fat foods. I am doing alright - started counting points yesteday and somehow got caught up in eating out last night - so it was a 56 (!!!!!) point day. INSANE! So today will be better - and it helps that I only work 4 hours tonight. Scale still says 250 this morning - so hopefully I can get my crap together for WI on Saturday! -Aimee |

aimee - me and my bf made a budget...we're trying to save money for a nice down payment on a car next year so we decided we have to eat in the house. my problem was I was throwing groceries away every week. I'd buy food according to menus for the week, then decide not to cook, eat out, and the food would go bad. What a waste of money!!! maybe u and josh should cook together that way you can kind of control what type of foods he's cooking. that's always fun. so i'm getting a bit better. not really eating what I should be eating but I could be a lot worse. and I'm starting to work out a little.....well it's only been one day but that's a start. for some extra motivation you guys should go join that points challenge in the 20-somethings forum....check it out.... http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=124123 talk to ya later!! |
