    STILL haven't made my WEED this week but not going to let it get me down - mainly 'cause I've stayed OP eating wise and my energy level has stayed thru the roof. Just not making it to the gym or getting my water in. Which is really bad 'cause its soooooo sweltering here . . . gonna have a couple of days where the night time temp is going to get in the 70's again but supposed to go right back up . . . Had to stop by the drug store in the Wee Hours and it was in FULL HALLOWEEN/FALL decorations . . . I think its ridiculous, but also felt "cooler" just looking at it all!

    Hey, maybe you could plan a FALL camp-out, clykkie? I LOVE to camp in the fall - yeah the nights are waaay colder (we tent camp) - but that can be fun as well. PLUS all the bugs are dead. Ahhhh, an Avon distributor Mom . . . HEAVEN! Took a shower with my old reliable "Tranquil Moments" - smell reminds me of my Mom - I also have the room spray - nostalgic.

  • Hey, aud! I just had the great idea to do fall camping about an hour ago when I was speaking with my DH. We have been mulling over the idea of renting an RV and trying out our first time at that. We would bring a tent along for my DS and a friend to camp out in at night if they choose. You must have heard me! I don't know what your experience is, but I feel like we speak the same language. It would make sense then that you would hear me wherever you are! Doo, doo, doo, doo! Doo, doo, doo, doo! [Insert spooky music melody to the "Doos"].

    We camped out on our balcony last night. We live in a high-rise condominium. I was in the hammock and my DS and DH were on foam mattresses. It was a beautiful night for it. I am going to suggest that we go for afternoon tea somewhere in town today. We're basically trying to stay in vacation mode. I woke up this morning and put my bathing suit on and told my DH and DS that I was going for a dip in the lake. Boy, were they confused at first until I reminded them that we were pretending to still be camping. The nice part about camping at home is there is no dirt, sand and bugs to contend with.

    Holyteror Are you working up to doing a 5K run?

    glitterlicious and Holyteror I feel my shins when I run the last week or so. I am worried about getting shin splints. Do you have this experience? Do you have any suggestions as to how to avoid getting them? It's making me feel wary about when the run gets increased.

    Been REALLY great, OP eating this week! I need to get to the gym, but I'm actually on my way there after I post this and catch up with ya'll.

    Glitter, you should have seen my face when I read your post, positive vibes and that awesome note from your coach! I was just beaming, and my kids were like, what? I just burst with pride for you! Hope that test went well. I'm pullin for ya! You are on a roll!

    WELCOME FRECKLES! So glad you hopped on board. I'm trying to figure out how many weeks now til Labor Day, I like that you work in 10 lb increments, when I was in the 290s and down, it was only the ten pound markers that would make the task seem surmountable. I need to get back into that mindset. I would be so happy to see what I called the "next under" 289,279,269, etc. just seeing that second number change was motivating to me. Now I'll be excited to see 220s but I'm so mad, I've been 215 at my lowest, then I broke my ankle, gained more than a few lbs. So I'm just grumbling my way back thru the 230s. LOL Oh and you mentioned that just you and another girl posted on your other thread, INVITE HER ON OVER! We ALWAYS have room for more! And of course the more people to kick my butt the better

    Clykky! I totally understand you not wanting to take your son (and a friend no less!) camping by yourself. It's so much work! I like the RV idea, in a way, maybe you'd be able to do that one by yourself if needed, no pitching tents and lighting fires. But still. Sounds fun. If DS is too disappointed, can you put up the tent in the backyard for a mini campout? Make broiler s'mores? My girlfriend even has her son's little tent set up in his room, he camps out every night!

    I'm feelin ya on those Halloween/fall decorations, makes me feel like lighting all my pumpkin pie candles and making soup! I've been telling the kids that swimming season is OVER, it's practically FALL, but honestly, our weather this week (apart from today's rain!) has been HOTTER than much of the summer so far. Fall is my favorite season to decorate my house for. I'm not even much of a decorator, not even at CHRISTMAS! But I love pulling out my autumn wreaths and the candles/scents. High school football anyone!?

    Okay freeque, I'll echo the others, if you want to talk about what's bothering you, DO IT! We want to help if we can! Especially us older chicks, we KNOW about guy trouble! At least we can lend a listening ear if you need just to get it all out. Please don't leave us!

    Okay, HT, and Musictchr, Paula, Jeni, I know I didn't hit ya'll today, but I'm thinking about YOU ALL, I'm off to the gym. So hard when I'd like to crawl back into bed and listen to the storm. And light those pumpkin candles. ha ha

  • i've been having a really really bad day, and it's only gotten worse since i got home.

    I've been OP so far and i'm short one bottle of water but i did get a real good workout in.

    no problems with shin splints...yes I am workin towards the 5k....i would suggest good shoes.....
  • Yes it was a random dog (mixed breed boxer type-male) - wandered into our yard with leash still attchd no tags) . . . so we notified the police (no chip) & humane society and kept overnight - delaying taking to humane society - My Oldest put up fliers . . . Our little West Highland Terrier Ginger was tied out and their leashes got tangled so bad that it hung the boxers leg and both were fighting and biting and choking . . . ended up getting a butcher knife to cut them apart (lots of growling and blood) - had to pull the leashes tight to cut tight and the boxer just reacted to the pain in its leg and bit the heck out of my ankle.

    Had the Doc at work dress it better - he thinks its fine unless I start getting infection. It's throbbing right now. The vet at the Humane Society fell in love with the boxer instantly - has him quarantined for observation for now - if no one claims him - she'll adopt as her boxer just died.

    What a day! And it only got worse . . .

    *BUT* still OP! Just not exercising . . . Always tomorrow, eh?
  • Well, I'm back from a week at Disney, and after eating pretty much what I wanted to, I only gained 1 pound (which was probably water weight, since I had eaten Chinese the night before weigh-in, and started my period)... so, in actuality, i may have actually LOST!! Monday weigh-in will be the proof.

    All in all, I'm dog tired, need a vacation to recover from my vacation, and am back at work. It will take me a month to recover from being away for a week (why is that, anyway???)
  • OK, to get back to eating right, I plan to plan my food more. Starting now!

    W - 8
    E - Yoga
    E - Fruit till noon + 32 oz. of water by noon
    - Raw vegetables with a nutbutter dip for lunch + 8 oz. of water
    - Fruit for a 3 PM snack + 8 oz. of water
    - A veggie sandwich at Quizno's for dinner + a V8 + 8 oz. of water
    - 8 oz. of water + fruit for an evening snack
    D - Without a plan, plan to fail!

    Hello everyone and thanks for the warm welcome. I'm trying to figure out what weed stands for. Each letter must stand for something, right? I don't have any more time to post right now. I'm getting ready for my dd's family birthday party. I'll check in at a later time. Thanks again for welcoming me to your group. I'm not as lonely anymore! TTFN I figured out that the "w" stands for "week", the first "E" stands for exercise, the second "e" for perhaps fruits & veggies? What does the "d" stand for, what diet your following??

    Hi gals! Eating is going great, still short on the but when I put on my pedometer yesterday (the last of an evil week at work) I walked 15.6 miles!!! and that was with 2 twenty minute breaks! So I probably walked between 70 and 90 miles in the last 7 days. (BTW I work 12 hour shifts, last week was my 6day week) The muscle weight is gaining, but I can tell I am losing fat, my face feels thinner when I wash it and I barely recognized my own arms yesterday (now that was a weird feeling!)

    DH really wants me to go back to the gym, but only because I feel better about not losing Weight as long as I am working out. He is a little irratated though, in the last year I have gone from a 40 DDD to a 36 C/D

    todays weed is on, today starts my 6 day off week! I am planning on going to the gym tonight after DH gets home from work; I hope I get too!

    I will drink my water, I will get my exercise I will eat well and those are my goals for the day!

    jcat is making me miss my "good" pedometer that broke - the replacement ones I've tried are crappy - gotta get a new "good" one over the weekend! My 40DDDPLUS are leaving me tooo! Buh-Bye Boobness - glad to see your SIX humps every time I wear a Tshirt BE GONE!!!!!

  • i'm alive but tired. i'll do my last workout of the first week of c25k tomorrow. i'm so tired today....emotionally and physically drained. I hope you're all doing well. my jeans fit better today than they have before though........
