aimee - the thing I liked about ww is there really isn't anything you can't have. For instance, you can have pizza but go for the thin crust with lots of veggies. If you want fast food, instead of the #1 supersized, you can get a kids meal. I loved that I didn't feel like I was depriving myself. So it's ok to eat that stuff once in awhile, the key is to counting your points and logging everything that you eat.
Nikki - I hope everything is ok. I hope you can get back to your healthy eating habits once everything is sorted out. :hug: courtnie - camping sounds like fun. but it musst be hard to eat right when you do that sort of thing (i.e SMORES!!!) jen - that's great you found a class that you like. it always makes it easier to get to. hope u had a fun night with ur friends. shari - you damn skippy that pound will be lost by next weigh in!!! :P I'm here doing ok, I could be doing better but I do believe I am on my way. :hug: myRo! Love you! Courtnie, I'm sure you look slammin in those new pants! Welcome Kalinda! Well I lied. I didn't lose that 1 lbs this week, I didn't lose anything. I could sit around and pout but I'm really don't have the patience for whining right now. I was a bad girl the last two weeks and I'm lucky I didn't gain. I'll start losing again this week and keep truckin. Figured out how to fit in my workouts with the new job. Will be able to go up to 4 times a week. I started my second job yesterday and it's good and bad. Good because it is EASY as **** and my co workers are funny. Bad because it is SO boring and tedious that I get super sleepy REALLY fast! I drank three cups of coffee today and it didn't help. Lucky for me, everyone including the TRAINER gets sleepy too so *shrugs* |

Rosario - WW is perfect for the summer for me, I can still eat out and do everything semi normally, it's definitely nice. How are you making out these days? Is it hard with the trial seperation? Courtnie - I seriously doubt that your pants are bad! I bet they look really good! Nikki - I am sorry to hear you have some rough stuff going on, and if you need to talk, we are always here!! Shari - no loss is better than a gain - I'm trying to be positive, how's it working? I think we'll all have those weeks where we are going to stay the same, I'm realizing it's just really important to keep plugging away. Sounds like the 2nd job isn't too bad - I'm nearly jealous over here!! Kalinda - welcome!! I am having a hard day with regards to work, I surely hope my days get better. The person training me doesn't want to be training me, I overheard her say that she's never done a training program like this, and didn't fully say she didn't want to train me - but I definitely got the drift. She treats me like I'm just a pain for her to deal with... I'm feeling like I've made the wrong decision. Today she actually says to me " you can't chew gum on the floor", like I don't know this? I've been with the same company, and DO have a lick of common sense! Also seriously, knowing I've worked retail for so long, you'd kinda think I know something. It's just annoying. -Aimee |

thanks for such the warm welcome! so far, i've not done well already. i made the best salad for dinner last night, but i made a cheeseburger to go with it. i'm quite sure that isn't to good. not to mention, as i sit at my desk at work right now, i'm really trying hard not to go to the vending machine and get some m*m's - i must be strong, but it's been a bit of a rough day and to top it all off my coworker and I went to grab lunch and she got on her cell phone as soon as we walked out the doors and stayed on it the entire time - it wasn't really bad, it was just that i didn't want to hear her conversation. i don't like being in close proximity when people are discussing personal affairs, it's not my business...
well only a few hours left - no big deal. everyone have a good day! |
Kalinda-Welcome! Vending machine cravings are the worst! I found that if I keep healthy snack in my desk (Nuts, granola bars, fruit, crackers) I'm not as tempted, also, it feels like a treat when I get to dive into my "stash" of food.
Courtnie- I'm sure you rock those pants :) Also, I'm totally jealous of you and all your camping adventures! We've got a burn ban for all of Washington and Northern Idaho, so campfires, and by proxy, most camping is out for the summer. Aimee- I completely hear you girl! I just finished some training at my job and it was the exact same thing! The woman training me was so detached from everything and treated me like an inconvenience. I cried.. a lot. It's frustrating to start a new position because there is a period where you are not good at what you're doing and you don't have answers for all the questions, but you don't want to be treated as such! When I finished I was given evaluation forms to fill out about my trainer, does your work have anything like this? You will get through this, I promise :hug: As for me, my night out with my friends quickly dissolved into just my gym buddy and me, and we decided that it probably wasn't the best idea for us to go stuff ourselves with booze and desserts without the rest of the group. I ended up joining my dad for dinner and made it home just before a huge storm blew through. Yikes! I switched shifts at work and I'm now working graveyard. We'll see how this goes, it's just always tough to figure out when to eat, you know? My 4am is like a normal person's dinnertime, but I just can't eat then. It will all sort out. Aimee - sorry to here you are having a hard time with the new job - I think every job is like that, people hate training other people - its too bad they have to be so rude about it. Don't let it bug you :) Things are going pretty good with me, looks like I am going to have a decent loss this week - hopefully I can keep it! Tomorrow night friends and I are going for sushi and I am sure there will be more dinners out over the weekend and next week - but I will be good and try not to eat too much cake ;) |
Hey! Things are going SO much better - I decided to forget about the manager and just really focus on getting my customer service in this dept better. It's working! I helped a customer and her young daughter pick out her first makeup! She wanted some crazy bright colour, her mother wasn't impressed, so I showed her some gold shadow and a sheer, shiney lip gloss. Her mom was happy and so was the girl. I felt really good about that :)
Jen - Thank you, I totally appreciate it! There is no evaluation :( But I know that in the new age of the company I am working for that she's not going to make it.. she puts off customers, and the dept doesn't do well because of it. Goodluck with graveyards - I couldn't do it! I would say just make sure you are eating every few hours, keep the metabolism up! Nikki - I wouldn't weigh in either, you just don't need to add that to whats going on in your life. And I just have to say it again - we are always here for you! Courtnie - I totally love training! I am a little crazy though! When are you gonna weigh in? i can't wait to hear about the results! Well I am BUSHED, so I'm gonna go lay on the couch and hit the sack early. So I woke up sick, I was worried this might happen, and so I've been trying to take care of myself all week - no bad foods, getting as much sleep as possible. And then I woke up with a fever, sore throat and massive headache. I can't call in because I just can't, and so I'm going to go there and talk to the manager. Well, here's the problem, I now DO get sick days, but I think it looks BEYOND bad to be taking 1 in the first week! I am hoping to talk to her and get her to just delete my shift - I'm not required to work 40 hours a week, so 32 is just fine. I just feel like a crappy person :( But at the same time, I feel super nasty. Hopefully she'll just delete it and no one but her and I will ever know. I better go get dressed, hopefully I'll be home by 9am to passout and wake up at 9pm feeling all better!! -Aimee |

Scale this morning said 160.4 - down 1.6! I think it is probably even more then that because I ate a horrible dinner - but it works for me and hopefully I wont gain too much this weekend with drinking and eat out! |
I was actually so sick I couldn't get to work, it was nasty. I called and told the manager of the store, and didn't talk to the cosmetics manager. I've decided that I don't care if I take a sick day - they can look back over my days off and find out I really haven't HAD any!!! Of COURSE I'm sick! I went back to bed for 4.5 hours! I have a crazy headache still, so I'm laying low.
Courtnie - congrats on the loss!! Thats a nice one!! Rosario - they are replaying all the season's of Laguna Beach - I am loving it! We are on season 2 right now. Also, LC is wearing Ralph Lauren sun glasses in this episode! -Aimee |

Feel better Aimee! I'm not eating enough on graveyard. I'll get so busy that I will forget to take a break! No losses to report I've been swinging between 248-251 since I've been home from vacation. It's almost Friday! |

Randee - definitely join us on the WW thing!! I've decided its the perfect thing for summer - you can have your cake and eat it too. Welcome back!! I wondered where you'd gone too, but you have a really busy life and figured that was part of it!
Jen - Food = good, it'll keep you going. Fruit has been my life saver this summer, I stopped having fruit and ended up dehydrated. Thats how much fluids I get out of it, makes my water drinking thing better (I hate drinking water). Are you on the WW thing? How are you making out with your points? I feel SO much better, I slept from 8am until 12:30pm, went back to sleep at 1:30 and got up at 4pm. Long sleep, but I feel 100% better. I now have 2 complete days off to look forward to, and right now feel really good about the decision to do this management thing - so many perks!! -Aimee |

Congrats Nikki and Courtnie! WELCOME back Randee! Stick around! And do WW with us! Glad you're feeling better Aimee. :) So my first week at my new job is officially over. Super easy, just requires LOTS of coffee! My co workers are a riot, I'm always laughing and sometimes blushing because they can get really raw. Next week, we get our own cubicles! I get to decorate and everything! We have a big industrial size refrigerator in the breakroom and I'm going to buy a large insulated bag and make sure I have plenty healthy snacks ready. Plus water, lots of BOTTLE water! You can't drink the water at either one of my jobs. Seriously! Every other woman is PREGNANT! I don't want to pull a Virgin Mary! Having two jobs means I'll be getting paid every week and will be able to save up for my move in December so I'm smiling alot these days! |

Its just been really hard. We have been going to the beach (casinos) every weekend and eating out ...ALOT! Ill have to either quit eating out or back better decsions. I cant cook. Ive tried. Randee - I don't know that I make a lot from scratch myself, I eat lots of salads, stirfry's, veggies, fruit salads, tuna or egg salad on WASA crackers.
I also make the bf do a lot of that for me, hehe.. he's just a WAY better cook than myself. Do what you can! So last week sucked - I was over by 24.5 points. Yes, thats OVER the flex points! I had a pity party on Saturday and ate WAY too much, or rather lots of food with really high points. I finally get what everyone says about being able to stick to it during the week and then blowing it on the weekends! Before this transfer of positions I never got more than 1 day off in a row, so weekends didn't exist. Now I know and just need to make more of an effort. Do you ever find you have more hungry days? 28 points feels like nothing on those days! -Aimee |

Courtnie-Hang in there. Is it your TOM ? maybe you are dehydrated? I had my weigh in today and maintained which works for me. I'm happy as long as I am still in the 140's :) As soon as I get to 145 I am getting my belly repierced. I have waited 5 years now to redo it. I refused while I was heavy. Nikki |
My TOM is approaching - I am up 2 pounds this morning and feel gross and crampy.I am doing better - haven't had a second to sit down and calculate my points from yesterday, but it was pretty good. I went out for dinner and instead of a burger I got a cup of soup and a side salad. I'll figure out allthe points later.. I am off to work again!
Courtnie - now did you deserve those pounds, or are they just water weight and weighing after having a heavy meal the night before? I'm betting on the second half.. just keepy plugging away, keep logging those points! -Aimee |
I dunno... over all it was a bad weekend - maybe 1-2 pounds is real? I am sure most of it is water weight, still 4 pounds up today. Trying to drink lots of water.
I am kinda missing calorie counting, like weight watchers is good and easy - but some things were just better when counting, like 100 cal for a mini bagel was nothing but 2 points seems like a lot! lol |

Welcome Randee! Just a quick check in from me : My points have been on track, however, because I spend most of my day sleeping, I think the foods I'm eating are pretty calorie dense. I'm working in my fruits when I can and drinking lots of water. Also, I'm stearing clear of my scale for a little while, just for a week or two; my body is still figuring out my schedule! On Friday a friend called me from Lululemon saying he found the limited edition hoddie I really like, but they had it one size small and one size bigger, I asked him to get me the one size smaller... anyway I just tried it on and it fits! Given it is a bit tighter then a hoodie should be, but I can get it zipped up! I am so happy, its sooo cute!

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA, trying to settle into the new job and all. Hopefully I will be getting my computer fixed within the next two weeks so I can be able to be online more often. So after TOM decided to show up last week, I've blown up about 4 lbs. No biggie. Ya, I said no biggie. Life has been hectic anyway and I can't sit here and say I've been OP. But I just turned 21 Sunday and this is a new start. I'm a big kid now and I got to get my **** together. August is officially Shari's month, yall. It's my month to get my WL plans back on track, get my bills in order, and treat myself because **** yeah I deserve it! |

JasonLea-Happy Belated Birthday. Good job on taking time for you. I have exciting news. I ordered a fairy costume to wear to the Rennaisance faire. I ordered a medium thinking maybe I could squeeze into it. Well I got it yesterday and had to return it for a small. Also, I managed to maintain this week despite the initial gain after my 4 days off Atkins. I lost 5 lbs in July and hope to lose 5 in August too. Nikki |

Scale was up 1.6 pounds today, I don't wanna move it up *cries* I didn't even eat that bad... I really don't think I earned that gain! But its been up two weeks in a row :(
Maybe I need to start weighing on Sunday's or Monday's to help try and keep me on track during the weekend? I don't even fall that far off track, not lately, argh, anyway I am done ranting. |

I've definitely fallen off the wagon, it could be WAY worse, but I've just gotten a little tired of counting points, watching everything I eat, all this dieting stuff! But I am not happy where I am, it's feeling pretty far from 199 - which is not giving me a ton of motivation. So if anyone wants to bottle up their motivation please send it my way!!!
