Morning ladies!!
WTG everyone who had success this week, im very pleased that im back in the game, the scale was kind this morning!! I know some of it must be water weight, but im pleased!! 4lb down!! Its the first loss ive had for a while, so i would like to lose another 2lbs this month. My original goal was to lose 5lbs this month, but i think i can od better than that!! I feel all revved up and ready to go now.

ktandthesmurfs 06-11-2007 09:02 AM

Hey everyone, I hope all of your weigh-ins go well. For me, I am kind of dissappointed with mine. I know my goal for June is a pound a week and I did that this week, but I really felt like if I had stayed on plan just a bit more it could have been two pounds. I think it is becuase it is the end of the school year so there are banquets and parties that I am going to that have extremly bad (but tasty) food. Oh well, I'll shoot for two pounds this week.

JasonsLea 06-11-2007 09:13 AM

Morning everyone! Congrats on all the losses!

FullSteam ~ Yes I do have a cold. I always get sick during summer.

FullSteamAhead 06-11-2007 11:52 AM

goodmorning ladies :)

Congratulations to all of you on the losses :carrot: I weighed in as well and am down 2lbs. so I am pleased to have had a loss despite an interruption in my schedule recently. It's a good thing I had those back up lean cuisines on hand for when I wasn't feeling well to cook, it sure did help! I took a few days to rest up and am better and soooooooo eager my ladeis to get back to my usual routine. Dh starts vaca in 1 week and wants to go very strict this week as he wishes to lose 5lbs. before vaca, he wants fish every night this week! Fine with m e! lol I think it's a good idea to do that this week, I'll kee p you all posted as to how it goes along the way.

pigginpodgey, congrats on the 4lb. loss!! :) :carrot: keep up the great work.

I think everyone is doing great. kt, I know those 1's (have had plenty of them during the course of my plan) can feel slow sometimes and sure takes patience and I often need to remind myself how those 1's and 2's really add up over time and indeed they have so let's keep it going ladies : )

It's the start of a new day and a new week. THough I have my plan in place for the course of this week, I always like to take it one day at a time. So here we go monday, fruit, fish and veggies for today. I also am going to focus on drinking plenty of water, which i slacked off on recently. I have noticed how much the water helps me and in the weeks I had plenty of water, I seem to have a quicker loss....also seems to keep my fluid level on a more even keel and I don't feel as much retention. WIshing you all a great and successful day ladies, keep on rockin! :carrot:

Treighsei, congrats : ) I agree with lekhika, put that scale away now! lol andkeep on truckin girl.

sockmonkey, way to go!

Lekhika, I am glad that your feeling better and also went for your evening walk. COngrats on the loss too! :) I took a few days off and then went for a sm. walk yesterday along this real pretty shore and as lovely as it was, I soooooooo miss my reg. walking route, etc. Going tonight, god I can't wait . I always get a tremendous lift from it. I am glad that your feeling better and had a nice weekend :) hope that your having a great day, that you all are.

Jasons lea, hope your feeling better. IT's strange isn't it, me too lea! I can go all winter without so much as a sniffle and then may get sick in spring or summer.

well my ladies, congratulations again to all of you. It's so nice to come in and read everyone's post and successes, etc. Wishing you all a super day and a great start to the new week. :) ladies, ty  it's the support, encouragment, inspiration, etc. of you all here that h as helped me to stay on track or get back on track (particularly these past 2 weeks). well, I better move my tail. let's keep on truckin : )

mascara 06-11-2007 12:36 PM

heya, managed to get 1205 calories in today, i never ealised just how much you could eat with so little calories. Going shopping on saturday with my friends for my birthday and may have a few people round on friday for some movie's!! but I'm giving myself a kick up the *** this week- i dont want a disaster on thursdays weigh in!!! sadly TOM may skew it a little bit, but hey onwards and downwards in the long run!!

erricah 06-11-2007 12:46 PM

I am interested in doing this challenge for June. My goal is to lose 10 pounds this month.

canarysong 06-11-2007 01:33 PM

Hey everyone, thought I would join in. I stepped on the scale this morning to find I was 180 pounds! I lost 4 pounds in one week. I was go happy to see that because I was at the same weight for two weeks. I don't have a weight goal for this month but if I lose 3 more pounds this month I will be more than happy!

I think what changed for me this week is that I started counting calories. Turns out was eating too little for my weight and that might be why I wasn't losing anything. I added more fruits to my diet and that seemed to do the trick. I will continue to count calories from now on.

Good luck this week, everyone! :carrot:

sockmonkey70 06-12-2007 02:05 AM

Good job on all the great weight loss girlies!!

nyerinuk 06-12-2007 07:14 AM

Had my weigh in this morning and am very pleased to say it's another pound off! :carrot: I'm still struggling with this knee injury and the doctor told me yesterday that I may be facing surgery on the knee. :( I'm waiting for my MRI appointment and hopefully we'll have a better idea of what is going to happen. The news about the possible surgery sent me into to mega comfort eating yesterday so I'm a bit annoyed at myself cause I probably would have had more of a loss.

Okay....I'll stop whingeing now. Hope you all have a great week and lots of losses!!!!

Weighed In Yesterday..........lost 3 Pounds!....so Excited....good Luck Everyone

wateraddict 06-12-2007 09:17 AM

JasonsLea 06-12-2007 09:20 AM

Congrats Full, Nyer, and Christina! We are kicking such ***! :broc:

Welcome Erie and Canary! :carrot:

Happy Early Birthday Mascara!

WI today at 244.6, which is a 4.2 loss this week! Yeah I overeat on some days BUT I wrote everything down and it freakin worked, just like last week (except this time, I didn't have TOM in the way :D ).

JasonsLea 06-12-2007 09:21 AM

YAY Joanne!

Lekhika 06-12-2007 04:05 PM

Congrats Jasonslea! That rocks!

Hi everyone else. HOpe your weekends were good. I"m hanging in there, getting back into my cardio...did a full hour today. It feels good to be back in the saddle.

I'm all geared up for my weigh in on Friday!! Will be ok with no loss because I barely moved last week.

FullSteamAhead 06-12-2007 04:14 PM

goodafternoon ladies :)

congratulationsssssssss to all of you on the weight loss! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: : )

nyerinuk, I hope all goes well with the MRI results, keep us posted.

canary and ericcah :welcome2:

Things are getting back to normal here and that sure feels good. I had grilled chicken breast on the grill, had it marinating and forgot all about it and it had to be cooked last night! no complaints here! lol IT was delicious along with the grilled pepper, onion , and tomato I cooked. I did take the fish out yesterday and it's ready to be cooked. Went for a walk yesterday afternoon on the route and it was sooooo nice. THere are soooooo many flowers in bloom lining the houses along the brick walk. Just beautiful ladies, all of the peonies, irises, and roses are in bloom here now as well as many many other flowers. It cleared up now so I will be able to go for my walk again. I hope you all have a super day. Everyone is doing so great, congrats once again :)

mascara 06-13-2007 01:34 PM

hey guys, I've got a birthday weigh in 2moz so wish me luck!!
anywho i was talking to my mother about losing weight and turns out that her and my dad used to run everyday to keep their weight down and as soon as they stopped they gained it all back even with healthy eating and they are now both around the same weight proportionally as me, so i was wondering could my genes have some factor in me losing and maintaining my weight? or does it mean jack all and I'm just making excuses for myself?

Lekhika 06-13-2007 01:54 PM

I think one is genetically predisposed to putting on weight...I know that my mother has always kept an eagle eye on her weight and didn't let it wander off more than 5 lbs. above her target weight...I think I'll have to exercise to maintain my entire life. I'm ok with that.

Treighsie 06-13-2007 02:32 PM

Hi there! Had a good weekend... but today I gave into temptation and ate WAY MORE than I should have for lunch. I'm still stuffed, which is not a good feeling. Interesting how bad I feel now knowing what I ate. :(
Oh well, I'll keep on trekkin'

jordan 06-13-2007 04:25 PM

Good luck with your weigh in Mascara, and Happy Birthday! Treighsie, now you won't be hungry for a big dinner so maybe it will balance out. Fullsteamahead, I love your posts...I feel like I can just read them and be caught up on the whole thread becasue you are so thorough. My weight loss has ben going really quick the last week. I was at a bit of a plateau a little over a week ago, but now it is really moving and I am at a 7.4 lb. loss for the month. Hoping it continues at this rate just a bit longer, but I won't be bummed if it doesn't because I know this is ridiculous and I will likely plateau again VERY soon. Oh well, I'll take any loss I can get! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the early stages of summer.

Lekhika 06-14-2007 08:19 AM

Greetings everyone. I weighed in early and I've lost 2 more pounds. I feel like that interval training I'm doing on the treadmill is really helping out but this weight loss likely reflects the lack of food intake while I was sick last week. Oh well...I'll take it anyway.

I'm back on track as far as exercise is concerned. Still trying to find a happy balance of calories. It is so ingrained in me that I need to be a little starving in order to lose weight it's been difficult to reprogram that....I am trying though, to eat whole low fat foods with lots of fruit and vegetables.

Mascara...is there a HAPPY BIRTHDAY due to you today? We can start the fruit fast on Monday if you're willing....

Good luck ladies on your individual weighins and daily battles! Thanks for the support.

timkerbelle 06-14-2007 12:29 PM

I'm in!
My starting weight this month was 95kg, and I would like to see 80 something (even if it is 89.9!)
So a 5 kg loss is my goal

FullSteamAhead 06-14-2007 01:52 PM

good afternoon ladies : )

MASCARAAAAAAA , HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :celebrate: :bday2: :gift: :balloons: hope you have a beautiful birthday, may all of your dreams come true. Wishing you health, happiness, and love...today and always! Have a faboulous time :)

welcome tinkerbell : )

Lekhikaaa, congratulations on another 2 lbs. lost! :) :carrot: :carrot: Are you by any chance doing that interval training that shape magazine had put out awhile back? Hm, I think it was shape mag. I think it was something to the effect of varying the speeds every 2 or 3 minutes.

Treighsei, hi there girl. Hope your evening went well and that you have a great day today, it's a new day! : ) Along the lines of what Jordan said, by having a light dinner it balances out. A few times when I ended up having a big lunch, I would have a light dinner, basically ended up reversing my lunch and dinner on those days and it worked out pretty well as I typically burn most of my cals during the day and tend to be more sedentary at night. keep on truckin' : )

Jordan, thanks for the kind words and congratulationssssss on your loss! :carrot: :carrot: That is wonderful : ) As for the plateu, you never know....seems to work in mysterious ways sometimes but your on a roll right now! :carrot: Hope your enjoying "the early stages" of summer as well. I like how you said that as our summer is still young and we have plenty of summer ahead of us! :)

This week has been going well though I am feeling a bit bloated as TOM is nearing. I'm going to have to watch myself over the weekend, which is always more of a temptation for me and also hopefully no cravings kick in! OH, I finally bought my sun eluthero herbal tea at the nature food store! It's great ginseng. I am going to make ice tea out of it. One time, I lost at a very good clip drinking that tea! I love the lift it gives me and I recall that time that I drank it (for 1month) I had absolutely no cravings and just felt so wonderful. I assumed it was psychological but recently came across an article stating something about green tea's reducing craving. Not sure about the validity of the study but it certainly seemed to work wonders for me in all regards. I was drinking about 4-5 tea bags a day though, lol : ) I use 2 tea bags for each cup.
Well ladies, I suppose that is all my news for now. It's a rather cool and windy day but the sun is struggling to come out and hopefully I can get outdoors for my walk tonight. We are due for hot weather again and I am excited about that! Bring it on! How is everyone else doing? It's always so nice to come in and read the posts. Hope everyone has a super day, we are almost at the 1/2 way point, let's keep it rocking :)

Lytricia 06-14-2007 07:58 PM

Hi everyone

OMG it has been almost two weeks since I have been able to log on and soooooo much has happened without me!!!

Congrats to all have done well...and welcome to the club to those who have maintained or gained!!!

I have been super busy getting the kids all finished up at school and so I have constantly been on the run. Every time I turn around there is another concert or awards night I have to attend, exam I need to help with the studying for, baseball game that I have to watch...or cookies/pizza/muffins I have to bake for the various celebrations going on at this time. Not to mention that we have the birthday extravaganza this week-end… Mine and my oldest daughter on Saturday, father's day (and my sisters b-day) on Sunday, and my son's b-day on Monday. If I can make it thought this weekend without consuming an entire cake myself I will be lucky!

Hope all are doing well and staying focused. I hope I can continue to maintain for the next week and then I will really focus again ;)

FullSteamAhead 06-15-2007 10:26 AM

hi everyone, good morning and happy friday :sunny:

Lytriciaaaaaaa, hi there :) so nice to hear from you. THough I am a day early, happy birthday!!!!! :bday2: :celebrate: Hope that you have a super birthday tomorrow, both you and your daughter : ) also, happy birthday to your son. Sure sounds like a busy weekend, but one filled with happy things and fun festivities! Have a super time :)

dh officially starts vaca this afternoon, so will be on the go alot this week. I plan on getting in plenty of walking time at the beach and with that and the extra activity hoping it counteracts any additional eating out, get-togethers, etc. Have a great weekend ladies and happy fathers day to our dads, hubbies, etc.... keep up the great work everyone :)

sockmonkey70 06-15-2007 01:42 PM

Hello pretty ladies. How has everyone's week been? My official weigh in is Sunday, but I sneaked a peak this morning and I am down to 204, which means I have officially lost 20 pounds. I know I could be losing more than I am, but I have such a hard time sticking to plan sometimes SIGH. I am just happy to see SOME change because I know that I am doing something right, even if it's not totally perfect.

Anyway, good luck to all of you, I hope your weigh-ins are fantastic!

Lekhika 06-16-2007 08:39 AM

Congratulations on the 20lb mark!! That's phenomenal! Way to go.

I feel like I'm sort of peetering out on the energy as of late....I wind up getting on the treadmill and pounding out a work out but feel very meh about it lately....I need to get on the ball again with that..the weight is not going to magically disappear and I have 4 more pounds to drop this month! Then...it's vacation time! Oh how I want to be close to 120 then!!

mascara 06-17-2007 02:11 PM

haven't been around for a few days soz. my birthday and the 2 days following were kinda heavy so i didn't have time to get anywhere near a comp. but i weighed in yesterday and was 143lbs which is great considering a few minor slip-ups at my b'day gathering (beer, chocolate cake and peanut butter straight out the jar don't mix well)

Lekhika 06-18-2007 10:45 AM

It's so difficult to stay focused sometimes. I feel so blah lately, I can't seem to really find a happy balance of food. I eat the regular amount and feel like I've eaten SO much. I always get all anal when I am working to losing weight and don't want to be like this because I know that when I do reach my goal it's likely that I'll start eating junk, first as a reward, then as normal intake and I so don't want to be that way anymore.

I know the power is with me, there's no magic pill, there's no miracle cure. Instead of sitting here, pounding this out on the keyboard, I should get up off my lazy behind and get moving. THAT is the ONLY way!

Good morning to you all ladies! Peace be with all of you!

wateraddict 06-19-2007 07:28 AM

1lb down this week! So that makes it 20lbs lost exactly. I really want to start loosing 2lbs a week again!

pigginpodgey 06-19-2007 09:30 AM

Things have been crazy it has been public holidays here etc, anyway weighed this morning and have managed to stay the same over the celebrations so im quite impressed!! Getting back into the gym thing today!!
Well done everyone on their loses!

needsahug 06-20-2007 01:10 PM

things have been crazy and missed a few weigh posts. However I am glad to say that I am at 7.8 pounds lost so far so am hoping to reach my 10 pounds for the month goal.

last weigh in was 246.2 on 6/17/07. So at my last weigh in I was at 250.8 making a loss of 4.6 pounds. Thanks for all your help ladies!

FullSteamAhead 06-20-2007 01:31 PM

Hi ladiessssssssssssss, good afternoon. HOw is everyone doing?

I was laid up a few days with TOM but feeling good again as of yesterday. I overate one of those days and indulged in my choc. craving. I weighed in yesterday and no loss but managed to maintain. I really didn't expect a loss as I have been eating things off plan and beleive I maintained by watching out in between or not going overboard when I do eat. So in a nutshell, I am happy I maintained (and vaca not over yet) but I really want to lose more. I have been doing a lot of thinking and basically a re-affirmation of my plans and what I need to do. This month has not been my typical as far as exercise and not as diligent with plan lately. True , I was not feeling well but now I have no excuse and I sooooo don't want to lose my momentum or start slacking and told myself to exercise every day. It always works for me that way as I make it a point to workout when I am well and then something always comes up, etc. and on those days i miss a workout. Yikes, I am rambling now! lol sorry ladies.

The end of July I have a big party to attend and then in august will be on vaca with dh for 2 weeks, so my goal is to lose a.m.a. p by this time. It's our anniversary this friday and we are planning a special dinner, though n ot sure of the details yet. ANyhow, 10 days left to the month ladies, keep it rockin. Everyone is doing so terrific , keep up the great work. As for me, I am concentrating on not overdoing it the rest of this week and then a major buckle down! How is everyone else doing?

sockmonkey, congratulationsssssss on the 20 lb. mark, that is fantastic girl! :carrot::carrot:

Lekhika, hi there. I think your doing great! You have been so diligent with your working out and plan and your really doing great, continue as you are and you'll get to that point you wish. I know it can be frustrating sometime (esp. for me lately as i have halted a bit but yeap, it wont magically disapper as you said and I am gearing myself up mentally yet again to break out the big guns and go full steam ahead) but keeping at it results in success. YOu are doing awesome! :) when is your vaca starting?

Hi mascara, hope you had a super birthday : ) congrats on a good weigh in.

Lekhika, when you lose the weight you want....you may very well not go back to eating junk food, etc. You are working so h ard for this and somehow I doubt you will let it get out of hand after........plus I beleive our bodies get accustomed to eating healthier and it is much easier to stay away from rich foods after, etc. I get a tummy ache now if I eat something rich or fatty and it's a good negative reinforcer. I just feel so much better when I eat light and healthy foods so that is a great reinforcer in itself. I have already told myself from now that when I get to my goal weight, the minute I see a 3 lb. gain, i will work to lose it! Before I would say, oh it's just 3 lbs. no big deal, then it would be 5 and ah the rest is history! lol so that's my plan girl, but for now I need to put all my energy into losingggggg it. : ) keep it rockin :carrot:

water addict, congratulations to you as well on the loss and the 20lb. mark! :carrot::carrot: keep up the great work, that is super.

pigginpodgey, bravo for maintaining during the festivities, etc . and for getting right back into the gym. way to go!

well my ladies, it felt really good to come in and hear your news and post. Now that things have finally settled down, I will be posting daily again. Miss you all, take care of yourselves and have a happy and successful day. :)

Lekhika 06-20-2007 03:30 PM

Wateraddict
Congratulations on the pound and the 20 WHOPPING pounds! Wow! Go you!! I too would like to get back to losing 2 lbs a week....most days though, I try to keep in mind that I'm getting healthier, I'm feeling great and I'm so much more confident. I think these things keep me from saying, "to heck with it all" those weigh ins when the damn scale reads the same thing!!

Pigginpodgey
It's wonderful that you could maintain and are going to buckle down yet again. I feel like during today's workout, it "clicked" again and I feel so back on track. Hope you had a great workout!!

Needsahug

Woah! Congratulations on the loss! I so want to lose that much by the time July 12th comes around!

FullSteamAhead

My cosmic fatloss partner!! I was just wondering about you/missing you today!! I'm so glad you're back. Some of what you wrote, I could have written...especially the part about being not up to regular momentum as far as exercise goes. But as I wrote above....it kind of "clicked" again today and I feel wonderful after a hard workout!

Congratulations on your anniversary! I can't wait to hear what you make for dinner. Your meals always sound SO scrumptious! My vacation begins on July 12th! I want to be 120 or as close to it as possible by the time tha vacation rolls around.

My MIL is visiting and she weighs 123 and I want to weigh less than her before the darn vacation!! Go me!!

Rest is well....glad everyone seems back on our June challange. Go June challangers....

over and out.

Congrats on the anniv. FullSteam!

I'm down 1.4 this week. My father's day was just another day. I called my stepfather and said hi, didn't bother with my worthless bio dad. I'm feeling so good right now, so positive about the future and I think I owe it to my new kitty Tiger! I got him yesterday from my auntie. I knew as soon as I got him home that he's as crazy as me but that's okay. Right now we're in the stage of him getting to know his new home and owner. He won't let me touch him but he feels free to follow me around and climb all over my feet. Just like a man. :p

pigginpodgey 06-21-2007 02:41 PM

Ah im struggling this week!! I just dont seem to have the motivation for it, i have been a bit distracted, have met a new man who is just lovely!! 6 ft 3, brawny and scottish!! Yum!! So have been slightly distracted!! LOL!! I do seem to be eating less, but whether this will mean a loss or not i dont know, i just dont feel like i have been giving my healthy eating my full attention like I normally do.

Well done on losses everybody!!

JasonsLea 06-22-2007 03:23 PM

Ahhhh Piggin! I love Gaelic men!

pigginpodgey 06-22-2007 04:39 PM

Jasonslea - have you heard of the highlander books by Diana Gabaldon, it was her who set me off on the gaelic men thing!!!

Have a nice weekend!!!

nyerinuk 06-23-2007 07:39 AM

Hi guys

Just touching base. I didn't make it to weigh in this week as I went back to work. I did weigh myself on my scale at home and I stayed the same. This lack of activity is doing my head in!!! I'm frustrated as I really wanted to lose 14lbs by my holiday in August. <sigh>

This weeks goal is to re-committ myself to the program and get on track to lose as much as I can before our vacation.

Take care everyone!!!

Treasa

Lekhika 06-23-2007 08:34 AM

You can do it!

Treighsie 06-23-2007 10:30 AM

Oh man, I lost track of this thread. Just want to report that I was down 1.2 at my wi today, to 135.4 :)
