Aimee- We are in the exact same spot right now! I'm sitting at 241. I just want to start attacking the 230's so bad! I've been looking at 240's for what seems like forever! I'm going to try to be a little more strict with myself about eating more balanced and actually go to the gym, not just talk about it.

Eevey- Welcome! Thanks for being so willing to answer questions about gastric bypass. I had always thought that weight loss surgery was reserved for extremely obese folks. Good for you taking charge of your health before it became a serious issue :)

KT- Oh no! how's the back healing up? Where does this put things with dragon boat racing?

I'm working graveyard right and it's awesome, but it completely messes up everything else, but it's only temporary. Today I bought a bunch of flowers to decorate my patio and they all look so beautiful. It's nice to get out in the sunshine. I'm planning on busting out my bike for a little outdoor exercise. Summer tan, here I come!:broc:

Eevey- I understand about the exercise dilemma. I am looking forward to opening my pool so I can swim as exercise.

Aimee- Your 10 lb challenge sounds great. I am doing a 10 lb challenge to July 4. I decided to make it lower then my last one so I can hopefully meet it.

Well ladies I am a graduate! I feel so weird this morning no papes to write lol. I already updated my resume and plan to get ink so I can print it tomorrow and get some out. Last night I enjoyed carbs I had fried rice and ice cream. I figured 1 day would not kill me. This morning I weighed the samer as last week. I am hoping my my wednesday weigh in I can lose at least a pound.

Hi Ladies

Good to hear everybody is still on track.I went to a BBQ Saturday and Sunday, these are like an outdoor dance type but the food is all done on the grill. They always have jerk chicken,staeke and roast fish. Lots of potato salad,macaroni and green salad. I ate chicken and green salad both nights.

I went on the scale today i am still 154, two weeks and i have only lost 4 pounds so disappointing. According to Fitday i will have to loose 3 pounds a week to reach my goal so i have already failed. I will not quit i am hoping that it is because i started to Ex and i am gaining muscle or maybe it could be the alcohol. I will try to not drink any thing for the next 2 weeks see if it makes a difference.

What is the first thing you are going to do when you reach your goal weight, i am going to buy a pair of those skinny jeans with a sexy sandal.

By By for now be good.

eevey - I just realized we are at the same weight and have the same overallgoal lol. Hang in there. You did not fail its just taking a little longer then you thought.

Alright, here is my new plan. I'm going to try my hardest just to focus on the pounds right in front of me, so right now it's 240, 239, and 238. Once I get past those, it's on to the next 3 pounds. I have to stop focusing so much on my goal, my brain just can't wrap around that number. And I'm tired of having conversations with my boyfriend that start out with "When I'm smaller..."

eevey- I lost the first 34 throuh a modified eating routine. The last 10 I lost on atkins induction. I am stuck at 154 14 days now and quite frustrated.

Jen-It sounds like you have the right mindset now. One pound at a time.


I am praying I drop at least a pound tomorrow for my official weigh in. I am going to stop drinking diet soda everyday that is the only thing I can think of I am doing different this cycle. Last induction cycle I lost 7 pounds by day 14.

When you say modified eating plan is that one you made for yourself on made from a diet form, if you made it what does it consist of?

eevey - I made it I ate 3 meals a day and 1-2 healthy snacks plus plenty of water. I don't know what exactly I ate because I kind of went with what worked and switched it up atlot. It worked for the first 34 then I stalled for over a year at 164-167. So I used atkins to budge the next 10 and I am hopin to lose the last 24 with atkins too.I'm sorry I cant be of more help. I just cut out junk food and tried to eat healthier and it worked for me to a point.

Don't be down about your weight look how for you have come, remember when you where at 198 how far you had to go, well you are well on your way. This place is to support each other through up and down times. Keep your chin up and keep on moving.
