Okay, I had a nice long post saying to everyone then my computer went haywire, apparently my DH downloaded some sort of a virus and/or nasty spyware/Malware..... So I spent 2.5 hours running my antivirus software then it told me that "2 viruses detected we will not delete or repair the files" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so frustrated right now. My dad wont be awake for hours. I finally got it taken care of, but I am still going to have my dad (btw a computer genius) to take a look and hopefully I did everything correctly.

Taking a big breath

Now

Hi Aud, I am glad to see you back here.

Shari, WonderParents are so great!!! I am glad your mom has everything under control, you are very lucky to have her. (I know you know that)

Michelle, My friend did respond with a thanks, but....... Dh told him I come to 3fc for support and info so he checked it out and thought it was too girly. Anyway I hope he takes good care of himself, but I wont badger him.

Holyteror, dont think that your troubles aren't important enough to share, big or small we are here to support one another. AND I hope your DH comes home real soon!!!

Robin I am so glad you are feeling more positive today!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
everyday between 3 and 4:30 I have been having troubles with snacking. I am eating cheese, crackers, and pepperoni. I get these cravings after I exercise. I am going to start drinking some green tea after my workout and hope that it suppresses my snacking cravings.

I am so excited I finally get my 2 days off again!!!!!!! Today and tomorrow, I have such big plans for the next couple of days. Anyhow, I am going to start with: rearranging my living room, and dining/workout room and THEN who know but I am excited to get started.

W120
E 60 minutes
E 1500 calories
D GET IT DONE!!! no snacking

Good evening everyone. It's kinda quiet around here today. Rowdy, where are you hun? Everything okay? I sure hope so.

Jeni, it sounds like you had quite a frustrating time with your computer. I am useless in that department. If something goes wrong, I need hubby or one of my kids to take care of it. I'm still amazed that I learned how to naviagate this website like I have. Is there anything your dad can't do Jeni? Computer genuis? Roor repairman? Smart guy. I hope you enjoyed day 1 of your 2 day mini vacation.

Michelle you sure are busy what with the gym and your little potty girl ummm yeah using her potty. And your 3 a.m. computer check ins.

Well, I was trying to perhaps look for a cause for my elevated cholesterol. I found some articles that say for certain that anorexics do have alarmingly high cholesterol levels. Due to their low calorie intake their bodies over produce the stuff to compensate. Now, I can't imagine this being the case with me as Lord knows, I love food too much to ever become anoerexic, heck I can't even spell it. But it does have me wondering if the sudden drop in my calories and yes I've had plenty of 1000 calorie days even a couple below, combined with days and weeks on end of mad, crazy exercise if this could possibly be the case with me. And they also have elevated blood pressure. Any articles I found were very vague though. Something I will have to bring up with my gynecologist on Monday. I think I'm through with my other doctor. She's basically a nit wit.

Anyway, my daughter who was away is due in tomorrow morning at 5:50, so I'll be headed to the airport bright and early. I can't wait to see her. She's going back to school though on Sunday. And she won't leave me alone til I pierce her ear before going back to school, since I freaked out at her like a lunatic for wanting to have it done while she was gone. HAve I ever mentioned that I pierced ears? Well, yeah I do.

Anyway I'm posting now because I don't know when I'll get to it tomorrow. I did really, really well today commitment wise. I even managed to finish an ad I needed to finish by tomorrow for my 12th grade daughters year book. I went through pictures and stuff, it was really cool looking back when the girls were little and I was ENORMOUS. Whatever few pics there were of me. How sad. I remember reading about you guys scrapbooking. I wish I would have done a better job with that kind of stuff. It's great to look back on. Boy, I'm just rambling, sorry.

Anyway tomorrow's WEED:

W- Yup, gotta do it.
E- Gonna try my best, tight scheduele tomorrow, but will attempt SOMETHING
E- About 1200 calories
D- Get daughter from airport and give her big hugs and kisses and punch a hole in her ear.

Have a great evening and fantastic Friday everyone.

and My Dad is AMAZING!!! he is a jack of all trades, he takes good care of me and my sisters, He always has an answer in one way or another AND he is the one I call first with a problem (it really makes DH mad!)

Ahhhhhhhh caught up in the grooviness of catching up with W.O.W. Chat - soooooo much going on! Just gotta start out with a Gigantic for Our rrobin . . . as we said in the 70's---KEEP ON TRUCKIN'! So much on your plate and your hoodie hoo is still shining and shining bright! Don't have much to add/advise on the physical side but know already from Cyber Chatting that your superb attitude will get you thru this! I did have a knot one time - mid-navel to the right - that turned out to be a hernia - had surgery and had to lay off weight lifting but walkwalkwalking was encouraged. What else? I've had 240 cholesterol that nosedived to 170's after 3 months on low carb/high fat. Good went way up - bad down. Low blood pressure until a bout (near death) with toxemia/pre-eclampsia delivery - took most of that pregnancy weight off (60lbs) - but my bottom # stayed borderline high until recently went lower.

What does this all mean?

I have no clue.

Sorry for the ramble - It's the WEED!!!

ummmmm, WTH happened to justine, lady in white, gamerchick, jenny wenny, hypnotq, truelies and Impanema turned Spanky?????????????? HELLLLLLOOOOOOO . . . There are GROOOOVES to be gotten into going on here Ladies!!!!!!!

Soooooo, last we chatted I was getting into the Zen-like rrobin exercise ZONE. Here's what ended up happening instead: Went to the country to my brothers' bar and watched approximately 48 hours of Play-Offs - all my beer bets paid off and I stayed comfortable Beer Logged instead of water logged.

What else in all my catching up?

Birth Control: If you don't want anymore kids but do not want to have your tubes tied - I recommend the IUD. Had one for a couple of years and LOVED.

My 54# 9 yr old LOVES all the various exercise contraptions we have - stair stepper is her fave.

jcat - you continue to be such an inspiration!!! And Thank The Restaurant Gods you are there for the customers! Dandruff and no gloves? BBBBLECHHH! Must say that I hate/despise and LOATHE the Seahawks tho'! Congrats on the well deserved RAISE!!!

OK, first Our holyteror was soup sick and then Our rowdyb????? Hmmmm . . . we may need some new WEED munchies????

JasonsLea - Was holding my breath as I caught up with your Posts - sooo glad things are working out and a big WOW shout out to your Mom!!! Good luck with the changes - you and rowdy may be moving at the same time?

NurseMichelle - So glad that I'm not the only one who is sometimes up @ 3am looking around the Board!!! And soooo glad my Day Shift stint is OVAH! Just don't know how folks can switch shifts around - gets harder with each year. Definitely earn every penny is all I can say! My 20 yr old daughter is a talented scrapbooker - everything I make with the tools ends up looking like a first grader did it.

Is this the longest Post EVAH? Can I tell one quick story - kind of like rowdy fitting into her slimmer black slacks?

Tx!

My Big Sis bought me some "regular" blue jeans for my 12/23 Birthday when we went to the Casino? ("'Cause my stretchie jeans looked like an old lady!") - Anyhoo - Tuesday of this week I was in a super hurry to potty after all the WEED Water and b4 I knew it I had tugged my pants down . . . It wasn't til I stood up to pull them up that I realized I had pulled them DOWN w/o unbuttoning/unzipping them!!!!! I can pull those suckers UP and DOWN fastened people!!!!!!

Hoodie WOOOOOTIN' Hoooooooooooooooooooooo!

okokokok . . . forcing myself to HUSH and PUFF:

W: oh yeah - more water in the Bong
E: pilatespilates & some more pilates
E: staying soooo OP
D: Off work til Tuesday night so MUST get WALKS in!
Affirmation that helps me and hope it helps you rrobin: "This Too Shall Pass"

Thumbs up

Hoodie-hoo, everyone! I'm here!! And you have to believe me when I say I've been reading - I really have! - but that's about all I've had the time to do. I have been remiss in writing because, as the settlement date approaches and the noose tightens, my little world is going all haywire! Totally blew my exercise routine this week because of getting packing done and meeting with insurance guy, etc.; I've tried to sneak in quick workouts at lunch, I fall into bed exhausted at 9:30, and getting up to go to the gym in the morning is like torture and I haven't been very good about it. It's got me feeling all cranky. I understand that until we move in and get settled, things are going to be nutzoid - but I get really bent out of shape when my routine gets messed with. I'm very much a creature of habit.

Aud, I'm exhausted just reading your post. You adding speed to your WEED? I considered using the IUD thing, but one benefit to the whole hormone thing is that it makes TOM a whole lot easier for me. When I was younger, I'd go months and months without getting my period - and when I finally would, it would last for two whole weeks, and it'd be heavy and crampy and yuck the whole time. No exaggeration! I guess I'd rather risk the possibility of gaining 10 lbs than having to deal with that again!

Jeni - glad your Dad could help you out with your computer stuff. If you don't have it already, Spybot Search & Destroy is a free, downloadable program that you can put on your machine to help keep the spyware off. I've been using it for five years, and it's been great!

Robin - you've put holes in people's ears?? And I absolutely agree with Jeni's advice to you... getting 1000 calories a day is bordering on unhealthy; anything less than that is definitely not healthy. Sorry if that sounds harsh, and I don't mean to be preachy, but it does worry me because I care about you. During a very bad time in my life when I was suffering with anorexic/bulimic behaviors, I very often would only eat 800 calories in a day (which isn't much less than 1000). I started losing hair, my teeth got loose, and my heart would race... and those were just the body changes that I knew about; G-d only knows what it was doing to my blood pressure and everything else. They say that the average person needs 2,000 calories in a day to maintain their weight; to lose weight, between 1,200 - 1,500, especially if you are exercising, too. At any rate, I'm glad you're going to talk to your gyn about it to get some good recommendations as to how to get yourself healthy again - and that you will be avoiding the nit wit. We all want to see you happy, healthy, and - grooooovy. And just think, when you get the "thing" removed, it'll be the quickest weight you've ever lost. A friend of mine had two similar "things" removed (although we had to rush her to the ER because she really was so big that she didn't even know they were there until they were painful and ready to rupture); one weighed five pounds, the other four! She named them The Twins.

Who was it that brought up scrapbooking? Was it you, Michelle? That is something I'd really like to try... I've got piles of photos, newspaper articles, reviews from shows I've done, etc. and I would love to have a clever way to display them. Plus, it'd be another hobby to keep my hands busy and out of the bag of potato chips!

Crap, I'm out of time already - and I even came to work early today!!

But there's ALWAYS room for WEED:

W - 96 oz - and today I will force myself to complete this, as I haven't lately and I can really tell the difference
E - Sneak to the gym at lunch. Half-hour on the elliptical. Whee.
E - 1500 calories. I pretty much know that DH is going to want to go out tonight, and so I must allow for a little wiggle room and be extra diligent tomorrow.
D - Daily goal: keep a level head, don't flip out. Daily affirmation - Life is G-d's gift to me. How I live my life is my gift to G-d.

OH - and my weigh in was today - another pound lost.

Have a terrific day everyone - and stay healthy and happy!!!

Hello girls!!!

Well my daughter's plane has landed. There ain't no better feeling then when your child's been traveling out of the country and you first hear that her plane has touched down on home soil!!!! So , I am indeed very happy today. She's got to go back to college on Sunday, a few days earlier then everyone else., because on Monday she begins extensive training on how to be a rape-crisis counselor. It's an over the phone hot line and completely volunteer. She is passionate about the struggles that women have to face because they were born women. And no she's not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that , you know from that Seinfeld episode?). So she had a great trip, tells me she's eaten out more these past 3 weeks then in all of the past year. And she's gained weight. So what do I do, oh SICK person that I am - I just made her rice krispies treats and stuffed half of it (all right not half) down my throat before it even hit the pan. She complains about gaining weight and I go and make her unneeded food. I don't know what's wrong with me.

Rowdy with all that you got going on (just when are you planning on moving?) it's a wonder that you have any time to breathe, yet alone get thy tush to the gym. Moving is definitely one of the most hectic times in people's lives. Things will settle down ............. eventually.
Congrats on losing another pound of your lovely self!!!!! That IS great news!!!

aud, I missed you - GLAD YOU"RE BACK. You were missed. Thanks for the GROOVY thoughts and for sharing your (scary) story Keith, Greg you hear that? We got some GROOVY thoughts going on here. Hey man. Cool.
WAT YO GO on gettin those pants up and down without unzipping!!!!!! Definitely GROOVY.

Jeni, it's sooo sweet that Daddy takes care of you and your sisters. Just how many sisters do you have? I have only 1, wish I had more.

As for the calories, I'm consuming or not consuming - Most days I do have more then 1000, but I HAVE had my share of 1000 or less. I've also had my share of 1400 days. So, I really don't know if this anoerexic/cholesterol thing is a possibility for me. I do know that whatever # of calories I am consuming is drastcially reduced from what I was eating before. And yes I have also drastically increased my activity level. Ummm, wasn't this all supposed to benefit my health? Whatever, I will speak to someone, I was thinking of heading back to a nutrionist/dietician to maybe see if they've ever heard of this. I guess first thing is to determine where this mass is AND GET RID OF IT. And would you believe I know of someone who had a 26 POUND mass removed? 26 POUNDS!!!! YIKES!!!

Have a great rest of the day everyone and a superb weekend.

Hi aud!! I was out of breath just listening to you!! Yes the Main cook was Furious when she read the not (I wrote it my boss signed it, and it wasn't typed!) anyway I only worked one day with her, so we'll see this weekend. One thing is for sure, I will NOT keep my mout shut about this again.

Suz, Yeah moving is nuts, everything gets thrown off and the stress is even worse. At least you are still down a pound!!!!

Thursdays are my official W-I days and I forgot to tell you guys I am down 2 pounds!!! I was a little shocked since the scale hasnt moved down in quite a while, I guess the hour of exercise everyday is paying off!!!

I was hoping to try my green tea yesterday but while fixing my computer I forgot breakfast, then I ate lunch at 11:30 then another lunch at 2:00 I got my green tea in about 4:00 then dinner came about 7:30 (spaghetti, mmmm) I didnt have any snacks though (I guess I felt too guilty about the 2 lunches. NO MORE SKIPPING MY PROTEIN SHAKE/breakfast!!!!!

My birthday is this weekend (the big 3-0) Since I will be working My DH is taking me out tonight. He wants to go to dinner and a movie. I think dinner is fine, but I think I may make him take me either for a LONG walk after dinner (but I will tell you it is COLD!) Or I was thinking after dropping the kids of going to the YMCA and trying out their workout room. Unfortunately It will be this evening and they will Probably be packed with a ton of people (they usually are on Fridays my sister says) I really don't want the temptation of popcorn and soda even if we go AFTER dinner I will be tempted. I am really thinking about heading to the Y. He is getting off early at 3:30 If we drop the kids off by 4:30 then we will have at least 30 minutes of good workout time (plus I want to try it out before we get a year membership). I have a few hours to decide!! Thinking about it maybe we will take the kids swimming, I would rather use the gym though. Then swim after.

Also On my birthday (which is Sunday) We are going to his grandmothers for a BIG Breakfast and to watch the Sehawks v. Cubs. Go Hawks I think I am going to take a fruit platter with a fat-free yogurt dip. Right now the grocery store has fresh Strawberries and I think I am going to buy a bag of frozen Raspberries (of course I will let them thaw) and some grapes, and...... Any other Ideas for a healthier breakfast buffett type foods?? Please???

I gals!! again. Aud, sorry I for got to say congrats on the pants thing!!!!!!!!!

Robin you posted in the time I was working on mine (all 45 minutes of up and down at the puter.) I am so glad your daughter is back home and right on for your daughter!!! I bet you she is just an amazing person. Talk to the gyn find out what she thinks and what type of a doctor/specialist would help you pinpoint what has happened. It is possible that it was just a fluke, or maybe drastically changing your diet your body reacted as if you were anorexic, I would definately look into what has caused such a spike.
I have a total of 4 sisters the older two are biological sisters they are 32 and 28) the younger two are 11(1/2) and 14 (biologically my cousins but being raised by my mother and (now) stepfather. The youngest has been with my mom for 11 years and is my complete and true sister heart and soul. Th older of the two has been with my mom for 3 years and I love her dearly and the sisterly bonding is taking place, like it should. (BTW their biological mother has 2 other girls who are with other members of the family but we barely see them.)

Hi Nikki! glad to see you around!!

Hey everyone! How are you all doing? I'm doing better. About our living arrangements:

My mama had found a house for them over in my BFF's neighborhood. BUT today they were going over to pay the deposit and while my mama was across the street at the store getting the money order, the man told my stepfather and me that they did not allow pets. We told him that my mama probably wouldn't fly with that because we have our dog Poohbear and our cat Blackfoot and we've had Poohbear since I was like 9 which is about 12 years, she is my mama's baby, and my mama would NEVER, EVER part with her! Sure enough, when mama came back, the guy told her and she looked at him like 'Are you out of your damn mind?!?!' So we left, my stepdad took the truck and went to work, and my mama got in the car with me and was looking in the newspapers for other houses. I was talking to my BFF Nikki about what had went down and she told me that her landlord had other houses in the area. So, we called him and he met us over at a house a few streets over from Nikki's house. He's a real nice man and he showed us the house and both me and mama loved it. It's smaller than our house, only three bedrooms and one bath, but it doesn't matter because they're just staying there until we get the house back in a year. The guy takes really good care of his property and it was at a good price so my mama gave him the deposit right then and there. Then he told her about a five bedroom he owned that was going to be available this weekend. So we went over there and looked at it and it was a HUGE house BUT I didn't like it. I think if we had viewed it AFTER the people had moved and the manager had a chance to clean and repair, it could be a good place but asis, it's AWFUL! Those people do not take care of that place. When we got in the car, my mama told me that she didn't like it either and she decided to stick with the 3 bedroom. So my stepfather is going to see it and the man is going to change the locks and give mama the keys so we can start moving in tomorrow. Now, as for my apartment, the people said I didn't make enough for the apartment and they said that they didn't allow co signers which pissed Mama off. She's going to cosign on my apartment and help pay my rent and so on until I get a fulltime position at the hospital. So I looked at the newspaper and we went to two apartment complexes and looked at about five apartments. The first place we went too, it was the wrong one and we didn't know it. We were going in all these empty apartments and when I called the folks, found out that not only were they not the ones we were supposed to be looking at but they were also already rented! So we were just walking around in other people's houses! LMAO So we found the right apartments but Mama did not like them at all so we went back to these apartments that we had looked at about a week ago. They are nice apartments, very well kept, and they are running a great special on the rent. So I went in and talked to the lady (who also happens to be Nikki's ex apartment manager; real nice lady) and she told me that my mama could co sign so me and mama are going back tomorrow morning after I get off work and filing out the paperwork so I should know if I got the apartment tomorrow! And I will let you all know! We're busy bees right now and it's just beginning. It's going to be **** for the next two weeks!
