I did a 40 minute bike ride today! The wind from the speed almost makes up for it being 90 degrees out, so I barely noticed the heat until I got home and realized how much I'd been sweating. Time to get my butt back in gear. I've been slacking more than is really good for me this summer but I'm back at it now.

Harpo: Hey, you are Co- Mod, Vice- President etc. ....:D

I did my exercises this morning!! I am seriously thinking of skipping the Pre- beginning phase and go to the real program....

I found out yesterday that I am not so un-fit as I sometimes think- but a bit unclever...
I wanted to have new dumb bells. There were horrible expensive in the first shop. After running through the whole city I found a very cheap set (was on sale. Just 10 euro for 6 dumb bells!). So I bought it and had to carry it through the whole city, back the parked car.
I placed the package on the scale: it was 20 pounds!! :o So I was running (was a bit late for my doctor appointment) 10 min with 20 pounds weight...Not bad.

And: Good job girls!! :cheer:

 I missed reading this.
Girls, you can TOTALLY direct questions to Harpo!

Kate, I love your "weights" story.

It's a little cooler here today (not much... it's already 35C/95F with the humidex, and it's only 8:30!), and I may get on the bike or something.
I've lost two pounds... I must have sweated it off, because I've not been eating well.

Keep it up with the exercising, girls!! :cheer:

angiepants78 08-02-2006 08:43 AM

I did 33 minutes on the bike and 30 minutes of step aerobics and dance. WOOHOO

HarpoChicoGroucho 08-02-2006 09:37 AM

YAY!!! Ellis on the 2 pounds!!

And Kate, I just wanted to tell you, if I'm ever in Cologne, I'm totally coming to hang out with you. And if you ever happen to be in Kansas, you are coming to visit me. I will hunt you down ;) I wish we all lived near each other, so we could have a real life visit. It would be SO MUCH FUN!!! (And good job exercising!!)

I got my walk in last night!!! I'm going to have to increase my distance, because it's not challenging at all anymore. Maybe that's why I like it so much.

I am going to run for 30 minutes three times a week, weight training three times a week, and Pilates twice a week. I used to exercise a lot for a few weeks and then go for months without exercising and feeling guilty. I track everything I do on fitday.com and it helps when I think that I need to record my activities.

Oh yes!! Running is an essential part- but now I am doing it with a proper plan to increase fitness and speed (yes, I am running a bit faster from time to time. Me.Running. Faster. Unbelievable).

Oh, that would be great!! I highly recommend visiting Cologne!
And Bonn- just as a surprise what a small city our former capitol was.....

Yes, I did my exercises this morning. Slowly I am getting used to get up early and do my exercises.
And I am getting used to the exercises: I donīt have to look each of them up in the book.

A "Gut gemacht!" for everyone here exercising!!

Well, I did manage to do my exercises yesterday morning before I felt totally sick. I hope that I will feel better Monday. This weekend was exercise- free anyway.

Anyone else outthere???

I'm here. Just.

Kate, take it easy this weekend, hon. I hope you feel better VERY soon.

I walked for an hour on Monday and two hours on Thursday. I'm going to take my exercise bike up to our bedroom on the third floor today (well, I'm going to trick DH into taking it up. heh heh) and start using that again.

I now will start adding biking into my work out program along with my wt. training and walkings..... Now is the time for me to get serious about wt loss and take some time for "me"
