Just poking my nose in here! I find sometimes talking about BED or similar MAKES me want to eat more so I am quite happily doing ok at the moment with only occassional slips.

But, back to the goal picture. I've never been thin, I've never been even a normal size, I was always the "big girl" just big though, not hugely fat or anything. I'm now probably an ok size, but I want to be "hard-bodied" I want to look like I can tear telephone directories in half! I want people to be afraid of my ab definition!

Some nights when I can't sleep (most nights my head hits the pillow and I pass out), I visualise me with my black belt - with cut arms and rippling abs, posing for a professional black and white photo, wearing only my black belt!

Does it for me every time

i have a closet full of clothes that i look at and can picture myself wearing.... one cute park of jeans and spaghetti strap red top... -- i visualize myself in that a lot. or the fact that when my thighs get thin you'll be able to see that i actually have long legs! i'd like to wear a pair of black dress pants with heels and have my legs look long and slender! haha! having fat thighs is deceptive - it makes it look like your thighs start halfway down where they stop touching! haha!

I can't visualize how I would look at my goal weight because I have never been that small in my adult life. I know a lot of you are trying to get back to a weight that you have been at before, but for me it's like going into completely uncharted territory, and a little scary.

So instead I try to focus on things I want to do that I don't do now because I'm too fat. Like horseback riding, taking dancing or some type of martial arts lessons, or going clothes shopping without having to limit myself to special stores that carry fat clothes.

I can visualize myself thin because I've been there several times in my adult life. The problem is I wasn't happy with myself at the time either. I always think I am way too fat- I think this has alot to do with my huge boobs. When I wear a Tshirt I still look heavy. My daughter is trying to talk me into wearing tighter shirts (more form fitting) but I am soo self conscious of my chest that I can't do it. My daughter also has a big chest (34F) but it doesn't seem to bother her. She wears her clothes painted on. Why can't I do this with confindence?

TamiL: Iīve been there as well.
I had bra size E/F (E on the right and F on the left...) and I tried to hide it. That created a lot of problems with my back and my shoulders. Not good because I already had a posture/back problem. And I wasnīt even able to find a fitting bra- there are not many plus-size clothes in Germany.

So I decided to undergo a surgery to minimize my chest. It was completely paid by my insurance because of the health problems.
It was a long surgery and recovery was painful. And I still have huge scarfs. But it was successful!! I now have bra size C!
But I was so used to hide my chest, that I am still doing it today. I am now training to hold my shoulders back, walk tall....

I think itīs great that your daughter has so much confidence!!

Sometimes I am still a bit shy about more form fitting T- Shirts- but I wear them because I donīt look so heavy then.
And bad news are: your chest still looks massive when you are wearing loose T- Shirts- and you look overall heavy.
I used to buy men shirt because I couldnīt find a fitting womans blouse which doesnīt look like a tent and went to a tailor who made it fitting. Not too loose, but not too form fitting....After all, itīs not that expensive.

Kate- I thought about breat reduction but at my age (41) I'm not sure its worth the hassle. My neice had hers reduced a few years ago and she loves it. Unfortunately for her, she has just continued to gain weight and her breasts are growing again! Plus size stores aren't really an option here either, most plus size stores carry big bras with big band sizes and I don't need a big band size--just the cup size! My daughter goes to a specialty store to get hers. Maybe I'll try that when I lose a few more pounds. I think its great she has confidence in her appearance. I wish I had half of it, LOL
