Default Hormones????

Ok. Here goes. For two weeks of the monthly cycle I am starving all the time eventhough I know I have eat more than enough and should be satisfied and then two weeks of the cycle I could care less, don't want anything and eat only because I need to eat for energy. Am I the only one who can tell such a difference in my hunger levels?

It's funny you should put that into words... Yes, I'm very much the same, but I've never really thought about it before.
On those "hungry days", I just don't know what to do about it. I mean, I can't "pull myself together" and accept that I'm not really hungry.

Yes, I can tell a HUGE difference. I also struggle with my hormones for a good two weeks before my period (see: past two weeks) and I have a ravenous appetite while I literally have no appetite the rest of the time. I am so much more vunerable to bingeing during PMS and then I gain a bunch of water weight (due to the salt and general bloat) but I have found a solution! If you have a bloat problem, take vitamin B6 and dandelion root. I've been taking it, drinking lots of fluid, and I have retained NO water this month (my period is due any minute now) Last month was 7 pounds of water and the month before that was 14 pounds!! Some of that was actual fat because I was bingeing, but the weight that drops off overnight, I know is water retention.

I have no idea how to control the hormones except get on birth control, and I'm reluctant to do that because of the fear of weight gain and messing up my perfect cycle. It's like clockwork, even while dieting and struggling with bulimia (haven't missed a period since they began), and I wouldn't want to deal with breakthrough bleeding and any other side effects. You may want to ask the girls on BC if it helps with the crazy appetite problem we experience during PMS. I really have no idea if it helps.
