I'm in an office packed with candy bowls, cookies, all that junk food. We're having Potlucks and lunch meetings and lots of Birthday parties. I gained 30 pounds since I started working here a year ago. I couldn't control myself - I would binge all day long I've never been around so much food. For part of this year I worked at the reception and had the food in front of me all the time. My access to food was so easy and I had so much of it around me that I could clean out candy bowls, cookie boxes, pies and no one would even know that I ate them all. That was really horrible. I was sick most of the time and came back home unable to move. Luckily, a few months ago I got 'upgraded' to a cube and began my fight with my weight. Now, I'll stay in my cube if I know that there is food in the office. I'll avoid going into the break room or being around the reception just to avoid the food. I'm getting much better and I haven't binged in a while but it's hard. I'm so glad that I have my cube to 'hide in' and don't have to see all the food if I don't want to. Office environment is a tough one!
