Hi Kate,

I hear your cries, I really do.

Don't look at this as a diet, look at it as a life style change. I can't even say the word diet anymore so I am right there with you, but what I have been trying...t..rrrr..yyying.... to do is make changes in my diet like adding more veggies and making better choices. If I do go out with the family (sister, nephews, etc....) to the mall or something like that, and there's only crappy places to eat. I'll try my best to get a salad, or a plain baked tater with a big bottle of water, or diet coke. Its hard but we can't give up. I sware, the more I say diet, the fatter I get.... so lets just call it changing the way we are

Hugs and kisses to you.

Kate, I am so with you, hon.
I agree with Leenie... just making little changes can make the world of difference. I look at some foods and think, "I can't have that! I'm on a diet!" (it might be a baked potato with sour cream/low fat marg, or baked Tostitos with a low-fat dip) So I'll deprive myself, and then later in the day, I'll completely give up, and eat a big bag of HIGH fat chips!!
Find some foods that you really love that are BETTER choices than the really bad ones. And planning ahead with your meals and snacks is important, too. When you know you've got good foods available, you're less inclined to go for take-out, or to the corner store for a bag of bridge mixture and Cool Ranch.
Sending you hugs, Kate... Hang in there...

I too am there. This is my heaviest ever, even when I was pregnant. I'm totally disgusted with myself. I look in the mirror and say what happened, how could you do this to yourself.

I'm single and I don't want anyone to even look at me, cause I know what they are looking at, how fat I am.

But we'll get through it. One day at a time. This website seems to help me not head for the fridge, seeing all the people who are dealing with the same thing, and the support that you get here.

I katie

I know how you feel I use to do it all the time, but it doesnt do you any good to beat yourself up over it when you begin to eat and eat even when you know you are full get you a glass of water and drink drink drink until you feel like you are about to pop that is what I do that uncomfortable full feeling will stop you from eating and save you a lot of calories and it gives you time to get your thoughts together and regroup and get back on track from that moment.

DONT GIVE UP! YOU CAN DO THIS!

Hi there kate

Like everyone else here, I just wanted to give you a hug and say that I know exactly how you feel. I do this to myself as well and then I spend the next few days beating myself up about it. And then of course i get into the cycle of wanting to eat more again because I'm feeling depressed! It's a vicious cycle!

At the moment, I'm really trying to focus on listening to my body and taking it one meal at a time. At each meal I try to ask myself "is my body really hungry" and "what is the healthiest choice for my body". It really is a struggle......but if we're committed then our strength will shine through and we will do this! We're all here to support each other.
