-my beautiful girl. she looks like a little girl, not my baby waaah She's maturing, getting more spunky, keeping mommy on her toes. she is such a blessing.

-my beautiful husband. he really is beautiful, girls. had some nice quality time with him yesterday. as handsome as he is, he is amazingly beautiful on the inside. (don't let these two give the impression that i value physical beauty that much. i enjoy it, and appreciate it, but know it is fleeting and temporary and not important.)

-Gertrude is still asleep at 7:19 am so I can do this uninterrupted

-God talking to me through multiple sources about selfishness.. my own spiritual ears, church, AABB, a more experienced OAer, meeting shares.... all in one day.

-toothbrushes

-my sponsor and temporary sponsor

-all the connections I have made in OA

-OA. in my wildest imaginations i did not dream it was actually a viable way of living that i would be able to accept as not being contrary to God's word. and it works! i'm still stumbling around in the beginning, and yet I know that it works. and it's so self-reinforcing. doing the right thing actually feels better than overeating.

I am happy and grateful for my wonderful family. My daughters, my husband. I'm grateful for my parents and my ability to forgive them for wrongs they weren't at fault for.
I'm grateful for my pets and the unconditional love they give me.
I'm grateful for the wonderful friends I have and the support they give me.
I'm grateful for the gardens I plant and the accomplishment I feel when they grow strong.

I am grateful:

That this time next week, I will still be asleep!

That things are slow at work right now and not much is expected of me.

For my Mom, who has always been there for me no matter what and loved me irregardless.

For my co-workers, because even though they annoy me sometimes, they are always there when I need to talk. I was not in a good mood this morning, I had the Monday morning blues...but after talking, I already feel better.

For Law & Order: SVU...I love that show. (that was a shallow one, I know )

Diva, hugs for you and your friend.

Today I'm feeling crappy, so I'm looking at the little things.
I'm grateful that I've got coffee and that we have electricity.
I'm grateful that our land line is back up, because it was down for two days this week, and I was lost without my high-speed.
I'm grateful that, although it's a lot of work and I'm losing my mind getting ready for it, that I have a wonderful sister to throw a shower for.
Although they all dropped in this week and drove me right up the old wazooo, I'm grateful for my friends and family.
For many reasons, I'm grateful for my medication, and right now I'm grateful that it allows me to stand up and be publicly supportive of people who are down on their luck.

Okay, I'm feeling a little better.

I'm grateful for the vacation I just had....even though I would have loved another week, it was great.
I'm grateful that, while on vacation, I did not gain back any of the weight I have lost.
I'm grateful for the email I just got from my friend who is spending a month in Europe, letting me know she made it safely.
I'm grateful for E-bay which helps me to make extra money when I need it (which is always...lol).

Mandi, how wonderful that you didn't gain!

Today I am grateful for cooler weather. I am going give thanks by doing something for my body. I'm going to get on the treadmill. Something else to be grateful for. I think.
