The Diet Survivor's Handbook, 60 lessons in eating, acceptance, and self-care by Judith Matz and Ellen Frankel

    Big Girl by Kelsey Miller
  • Another one I love:

When Women Stop Hating their Bodies: Freeing yourself from food and weight obsession
    Hirschmann, Munter
  • I'm going to have to check that out!
  • Quote: I'm going to have to check that out!
    I really liked it.

I feel like I need another book to read on IE, but I have read all the ones on this list now except for the rules of normal eating. Im still not sure about that one.
  • The Eden Diet.
  • I CAN MAKE YOU THIN by Paul McKenna-ends dieting. The four golden rules in this book are 1.Eat when you are hungry. 2. Eat what you really want and not what you think you should. 3. Eat mindfully, enjoying every bite consciously.4. Stop when you are full or think you are full. Remember you can eat again when you are really hungry with absolutely no forbidden foods. This is not categorized as an "intuitive eating book" but it employs the basic premise. in addition he addresses stress and emotional eating and employs the tapping technique and other mental exercises as well.

I love and recommend the "Why Weight Work Book". There is a lot of internal work required to achieve healing, and this book is a great help in the process. Geneen Roth is clearly a proponent of intuitive eating, eating only when you are physically hungry, eating what you are really hungry for,,and all of her books share a common theme.

Julie M. Simon's 'Emotional Eater's Repair Manual' is not an "intuitive eating" book but it does address many of the issues connected with emotional eating and suggests methods to help individuals form better relationships with themselves as they relate to food and eating and how to recognize real hunger..
  • Great thread! I am currently reading "The Writing Diet" by Julia Cameron. I just started it, but so far so good !!!
  • Another good book is "Mindful Eating" by Jan Chozen Bays, MD
