  • Thanks for the support everyone! I got in a really good run this morning and am feeling better already- still pretty disappointed, but better than yesterday- I'm trying to move on.

Atoms- hopefully having those changes may have changed some of your habits as well! I'm sorry to hear about your stomach bug, and hope you feel better soon!

Mccull- good luck on your 14 days! That's a great goal!

Carolina- thanks, I know I'll feel better in a few days- great job on making it a full week! Keep up the good work!

Missunshine- 21 days is supposed to make a habit, right?? I hope your not-bingeing habit sticks!!

Pink hurricane- way to go on stopping before you got to a full-blown binge! That is the HARDEST thing in the world!

Clevername- telling my husband has been SO helpful to me... I am glad you had the courage to speak up! Having someone there to help is never a bad thing!

Mottainai- I have missed seeing you but am sad to hear about your struggles!! The progress you made when you first started on this forum was inspirational to me- I hope you are able to find that success again! This disorder can be an absolute monster- but I really do believe that there is hope for us all!
  • Surfer girl- I do find that the more slowly I eat, the less likely I am to binge- let us know how that works out for you!!
  • Hi all. I'm a newbie as well, but would like to join in. I re-started this journey seven days ago, and so far, so good. Clean eating all week, killer headaches from soda withdraw, but no binges. Feeling good, looking forward to weigh in tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great month. =)
  • Good to see so many folks on the thread

I'm joining on February 3rd I've had a virus (physical not computer) which threw me into all sorts of turmoil and self medicating with food but feeling better today

I need to do more work on the animal brain to stop it thinking that food is the cure for absolutely everything - but that is what I learnt as a child so it's darn difficult
  • I'm in. Got thru Dec and Jan binge-free so I'm hoping I can get thru Feb too

Working on Day 70 binge-free...will be even happier if my beloved 49ers win today

    Go Niners!!!
  • I'm in, although today is officially my 4 month anniversary of no binging at all! I believe in each and every one of us, that we can stop binging and if we do slip to forgive ourselves immediately and start fresh that very minute, not wait until tomorrow to restart.
  • Hi all!! Today is day 9.... It's so good to see all of us pulling together.

Jalsa: I totally relate to food being the answer to everything. Happy, eat. Sad, eat. Bored, eat. Mad, eat. Anxious, eat.

    Tubolard: I second that, forgiveness!

SierraSunsets: welcome, I'm new too, just a week posting. I am finding it very helpful and encouraging. A shared problem is half a problem halved!

KittyKatFan: wow! I am imagining the feeling of two months bf. Feels good!

Danzingurl: hope your day is going well!

Atoms: you can do it, you've done it so far! You have made your success, you can keep it up!
  • tubolard - I wholeheartedly agree. We all need to be nice to ourselves. I know I am my own worst critic and have been working on lightening up. =)

carolina 1995 - welcome to you as well =)

Today was weigh in, lost five pounds! Yay for a good first week! Sorry for the exclamations, but I was pretty excited that I got right back on track. Now only 19 pounds to get back to where I was in October. Maybe I should set that as a mini goal . . .
  • Sierrasunsets- wow, that's a huge loss!! Congratulations!! I think that's a great mini-goal!

Carolina- keep it up! 9 days is awesome!

Tubolard- I can't even imagine going that long without a binge! You are amazing! I think that is so important to remember, start making changes right that second- not the next morning!

Kittykatfan- I'm so happy to see that hot program is still working!

Jalsa- I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well! I hope your virus passes and you are able to get right back on track!

Today is day 2 for me! And... DH and I are leaving to Orlando next week! His uncle owns a bunch of rental properties and offered us a place to stay for a week for free- and we had enough sky miles to go for free! I'm determined to go binge free until I leave and am hoping to make it through my first vacation ever without a binge! Totally motivated to stay on tech this week since I'll be in a swimsuit all next week! :P
  • danzingurl - Glad you're feeling better! Your trip sounds fun and your mini goal leading up to it definitely doable. Good luck!

SierraSunsets - Welcome! Congrats on the 5 lbs. Glad you had such a great first week I love your don't panic picture.

Jalsa - Hope you're feeling better after your bug. It's really easy to try to escape with food, isn't it? I definitely know where you're coming from.

KittyKatFan and tubolard - Wow, you guys are amazing! It's great to have you around here as positive role models and show us what is achievable for all!

Carolina - 9 days is great! Way to go!

I about did a binge last night now that I"m feeling better, but I managed to cut myself off and prevent it. I've been feeling a little sorry for myself with my group of friends. They're all "coupled" off now, and it's been getting progressively more annoying to try and hang out with any of them, as they tend to be with their significant other instead. So...even though I'm feeling a bit lame and left out, I decided since I've moved to a new town anyway I might as well work on getting some new friends. That's my goal for the week. And no binging my feelings away...because I know it never works and is always temporary at best.
  • Yeah for not giving in atmos!

Orlando sounds like a blast! Good luck on your goal danzingurl77

Today is day 4 (goal is 14days) and feeling great. Birthday's next week so wondering how that's gonna affect me. Just gonna keep pushing on.
  • working on my day 23, only 24 days left till the end of feb lol
i was supposed to go home on friday and today received a call if i could come working tomorrow insted of sunday and i said i can't because i'm not home and that i'll be able to come the day after so now i have to pack my things, arrange a ride and organize everything with my roomates today. i feel so stressed by this news and i was supposed to study all week. i regret for accepting the offer but it all happened so fast. i hate when things happen out of the blue. it totally messed up my organization. but i am kinda happy to go home sooner than expected. i just hope i'll be able to control myself today and won't go overboard with my food.

danzigurl- i wish i was you to be able to o on vacay in the middle of the winter. you won't believe i just ordered a bathing suit from asos yesterday and i don't even go to the beach haha

tubolard and kitty you two are my inspiration and motivation keep on going!

    carolina and sierra- great job!
  • I'm on my 7th day binge-free today. Going well so far.
  • Hope everyone has a geat day!

Today is day 10..... Tomorrow i have an all day meeting, so don't know what food will be there. But I know I'll make all the right choices!

    Talk to you soon
  • I fell off the wagon yesterday and then it ran me over, but I'm back at eating good today so yeah! (I just got so crazy hungry after workingout and nothing would satisfy it. I ate probably 2500 calories for the whole day).

    Day one (goal is 14days)
