Default how to do balance your life each day?

what i mean is...say your typical routine which balances your time between your family, cleaning your house, eating healthy, exercise...dtd life.

i think i've relearned how to eat intuitively, and my over eating is less frequent, intense, and i'm learning self correction through IOWL podcasts.
but i know that i have to find a way to balance priorities so i'm not neglecting responsibilities.
on a typical weekday, get kids ready for school then they get on the bus. then i spend most of the morning exercising, reading forums, listening to the radio, podcasts etc. waiting as long as i can to eat. until i'm sure i'm physically hungry. generally ignoring anything else i need to do like cleaning the house.
when i do this, when i do eat later that day...my stomach is small so i get full, and feel full with a healthy portion of food. i'm much less likely to over eat.
i've tried to just spend a small amount of time, say 30 min. running, then go about the rest of my day, eating, cleaning around the house. but then why do i want to over eat later that day? but not when i used up the whole morning? really not seeing the connection.

what does your balanced life look like?

For me, planning is key. Planning with room for flexibility. I don't keep binge foods in the house (healthy or unhealthy). If I'm going to be very busy, I plan my meals for a week, and do that grocery shopping.

I never (or extremely rarely) feel the urge to overeat or binge in the morning...it always comes later in the day. Not sure why. I just know that I have to be more vigilant later on, but in the mornings I don't have to think about it much.

Good luck!

How funny that our bodies work that way...I have the same issue. I can go all morning and most of the day without thinking about food (I know that's not a good thing). And I realize that I'm probably starving by the evening which contributes to my binges.

But....even when I'm eating properly and watching the calories morning and noon, by evening....bring on the binge! There's just something about the evening hours that hook into me and challenge my will power. Wonder what the connection is there? Any insight, chickies, would be greatly appreciated, because it's a daily struggle!!

i dont have a specific trigger food per se, i'll over eat anything. i generally think about healthy foods and want to eat the fresh produce etc. then if unhealthy food is in my house, sometimes its tempting. its never going to be all clean food i live with 4 people at a healthy wt. and the kids need fat in their diet. we dont buy chips etc often, but they need whole milk, reg cheese so on. i dont, omly very small amounts of fat. i c0uld have a fridge of carrot sticks. i would still overeat them.

had a incontrol day today. getting over a cold, major trigger, but i didnt over eat or eat too freaquently. so was a victory. akd resisted the papa john's pizza. didnt even eat crust.
