I am so confused by all the different programs and organizations.
I am addicted to food, I overeat and I binge.
It is overwhelming to think that I need to be in three separate groups. Would OA be enough since all of the Anon type organizations pretty much all follow the same 12 step program??
I have been in program for one and a half years. It is my experience that someone in your shoes would try to go to mainly OA meetings but would go to the other twelve step group if it was the only meeting available. I would also pick a sponsor that is in from OA. I went to an alanon meeting this week because it was better than no meeting and I still got something out of it. Good Luck.
OA is for food addiction, overeating, binging and even anorexia. The 12 steps help us clean up our entire life, which in my experience is what fuels those addictions.
