Miko -- yeah, it's the one in the green box! Really really good stuff!

Watermelon, melon, zucchini -- all those watery, bulky fruit and veg.
Or scrambled egg. Or soup. A. |
I personally love sweet potatoes. You can have a big one for about 120 calories, and the sweet taste takes the edge off of my sugar cravings most of the time. Add a little cinnamon if you want -- Dee-lish!

I do popcorn and water also....fills me up every time!

Now, for the super duper hard question----what is the lowest calorie, lowest carb, warm/hot dish you can think of? |

Roasted broccoli & cauliflower chucks with some soy sauce are yummy! Filling, healthy (we're talking 100 calories for just under 300g) they feel carby and dense, when they're not! :D |
I have been super hungry lately--probably stress and emotional stuff. I am also broke a bit, so I am limited in what I can buy. I do have a new love of salad, so really need to start eating them when I get home to help with my cravings.

I love shiritaki noodles. One package has 40 calories. I put them(sometimes even 2 pakages) in pasta sauce and cheese or various soups. For me, they satisfy the eat till I'm stuffed feeling w/o my going overboard in calories.

I am a very low carb person and this is about to sound gross but OMG....it is comfort food and tastes very very close to mashed potatoes. I had it for lunch today and couldn't stop myself from eating the entire thing (16 ounces) .....it was like 100 calories with tons of fiber and net carbs were under 20!
You can google "cauliflower mashed" for other recipes but I do the following...... 1 head cauliflower boiled. Throw the cooked cauliflower in my magic bullet, but I suppose you could use a normal blender after straining..... 1 tbsp Fat Free Cream Cheese Salt, Pepper, Garlic The moisture in it makes it so creamy. Spritz with I can't believe it's not butter spray & serve. I was STUFFED and it was delicious, low carb and guilt free and made 2 huge bowls!!! :D |
It's not the lowest calorie option, but if I keep munching, I fill up by eating a can of black beans. Well, I eat the beans, not the can itself. :dz: I just add a few tablespoons of salsa. You can keep it under 300 (but I like to sprinkle mozzarella on top), and it's very filling. Half a can is enough for a nice snack.
If I'm craving something sweet, I have a big cup of yogurt with fresh berries and a bit of honey. I keep some frozen berries in the freezer just in case I run out of the fresh ones. Either way is good. |
