I think about food non-stop, like a lot of us tend to do. I am not supposed to eat for another 2 hours, and when I do, I have a planned meal and will not binge. But for some reason, I WANT FOOD NOW. I am not hungry. I just WANT it.
I am taking the old standard route to get my mind off of it when I finish this post, which is putting on some exercise clothes and going for a walk/jog in the beautiful weather we're graced with in Alabama, but sometimes that is just not an option, as it is cold, or rainy, or dark. What do you ladies do to cope with cravings when you are banished to the indoors?
I like to look at clothing online. I am a shopaholic so looking at clothes is always fun for me.
I like to see the things I can wear and imagine myself in them. ...or, I actually buy stuff.
oooh, good idea! I'm going to try that.
Um, sometimes I just look at my Hollywood gossip sites online. I see all the thin celebrities in their bikinis and grab my own stomach and all of a sudden I don't want to eat.
Err, that usually only lasts for 5-10 min though. lol.
I have put this in other forums, it usually works if you are a day-binger, not an overnight one like me, but it is a pretty neat trick.
Divide your desired daily calorie intake by the number of hours you will be awake. The resulting number is how many calories you can eat PER HOUR! It always seems like so much, if I can just start the day with all of them available, lol.
If I am on-plan, and eating right, no midnight binges the day before, this can keep me on track for days w/o any desire to binge. My problem right now is I have gone 4 days in a row not having the right amount to start out with.
ice blended in a magic bullet with a little water and a crystal lite or ocean spray (I like the OS better, esp the white peach), I eat it with a spoon or let it melt a little and have it with a straw...
I like the idea of separating the food into hourly increments. That would make it seem like you had so much food and like you were eating all day so you'd never feel deprived!

wow, you can actually crush ice in your Magic Bullet? I can't! It just...whirls away in there and doesn't do anything.
I have another brand of magic bullet, has some Italian name...maybe it's more powerful. We put about half water, half ice. Makes a "slushie". If your fridge crushes ice, that would help get it going. If not, maybe you could get an ice crusher (my grandma used to have a hand crank one, then an electric one, hanging in the stairway to the basement)...this would help get the ice going.
