Perfect timing for me to see this -- I actually made ANOTHER commitment to myself yesterday regarding this, and am now on Day 2. (That's a pretty big deal for me.)

sending : all over town

I am going to go upstairs now. Really, I would like to make veggie meals for tomorrow and the next day but I do not trust myself to be in or even near the kitchen.

had some compulsive very off plan foods but no binge. want to keep it that way.

I did not get anything at the movie theater. However at dinner I ordered a slice of chocolate cake for dessert. UGH I got 1/3 the way through it and just couldn't stomach anymore. As the movie progressed I kept feel worse & worse. By the end my stomach was in knots and I had a raging headache. I think it was the combo of the carbs & sugar that really threw my body for a loop. I'll not be making that mistake again.

So I guess I'm still on the No Binge streak.

Did well yesterday - stuck to my plan for only one homemade mini-cheeseburger and one serving of sweet potato fries at dinner, even though I was still hungry after (my hunger signals are all thrown off from the overeating lately). No binges, or even mistakes! Woohoo!

Today is our department picnic, which means lots and lots of free food and drinks... but I'm determined to make good choices! Especially since I had a bagel this morning. And a tiny chocolate chip cookie at breakfast. I'll definitely check in later to report on how I did. The picnic starts at 3pm (don't know what time food is served), and I'll be eating my lunch at about 1:30pm, so hopefully I won't be all that hungry and won't be that tempted by the junk.

Mayness, hope the picnic food is littered with ants and not at all tempting.

I am entering an extremly high risk moment. First, I'm hungry. Second I am going home after work and my mother (with whom many of my food issues begin with) is at my house with my children. She will notice that I have put on some weight. Likely she will not mention it but she will notice and I will notice her noticing. Likely she will have brought some type of crapfood into my house_ostensibly for the children. I will fight the urge to binge all freaking night. Motherf******

I know this post seems silly but this is one of my biggies.

Hello! I'm new to this site and was thrilled to find this thread. I am four days binge-free! I was almost binge-free last week, but I had this Nutella attack.

I hope it's okay to post here daily. I love the positive aspect of it... I need positive in my life right now.

Hey girls!

The picnic was pretty good. I probably came in right around my maintenance calories for the day. I made some good choices - lots of fruit and veggies, a hamburger (no cheese), only 1 bite of each pasta/potato salad and whatnot that looked good. I ate a tiny brownie (cut one in half) and a 1x1inch square of cheesecake (yum!). I had 2 beers, but at least they were light, and beer always makes me want to eat LESS so I think it helped.

The only real slip-up was right at the end - I knew I was about to leave and panicked at the idea that I would no longer have all that food available and inhaled a small blueberry muffin. It sounds so silly... but I'm sure a lot of you can understand what I mean.

I did go home and exercise later - about 30 minutes of strength training and 30 minutes of cardio! And I drank lots of water. And the scale was nice to me today (though that could be from the beer) so I'm feeling very positive and motivated.

Kitty - how did it go with your mother?

Spicy - welcome! I'm always sort of grateful that I don't like hazelnut, I can imagine nutella would be very tempting.

Hotsplashes - hopefully you can use that as motivation to skip the ice cream next time!

WardHog - so did you keep up the good work??

Uniquely - sending good thoughts your way for the picnic tomorrow, I'm sure you'll be fine!

Thanks girls,
I had a pleasant surprise when I got home. There was no food brought by mom. And she was so busy hemming my boys' pants she barely looked at me! No official binge but yes to bites, licks and tastes and in general standing and shoving food into my mouth. I did get the veg. soup made so at least I will now have something to eat when feeling ....

TOM is trying to get here. I should have figured this out.

Welcome spicy!

kids coming, gotta hit reply, be back soon!

Good morning! I just know this is going to be a good day! I'm going to surrender to God and walk through another binge-free day.

LOL "walk through..." I don't walk too well as it is, literally. I have a nice purple walker for use in the house and I have a wonderful scooter for shopping and church, etc. I am not letting my abused body stop me, though. I bought a "sit and stroll" so I can exercise my legs and burn a few calories while sitting in my comfy chair. I have just about convinced myself that I like doing that exercise! "Act as if..."

Yes, UniquelyNormal, Nutella is the devil!

Here's hoping today is binge-free for all of us!
