Default hangovers and binge eating

i think that hangovers or being sick are a large trigger for me. whenever i don't feel well, i somehow justify eating for comfort and whatever my body suggests will make me feel better rather than sticking anywhere near plan.

yesterday's binge: turkey club sandwich and FRENCH FRIES, an entire jar of kimchee, and a tanker of gazpacho that i made on saturday. while aside from the sandwich and the fries, the food stuffs i binged on weren't bad for me, per se, nobody needs to be eating that much gazpacho. i mean really. i think i blew out my carb allotment with the tomatoes alone, before i even got involved in the french fries.

meh.

I always crave greasy bad food when I have a hangover. It's awful.

Oh man... the carbs and the grease are a must for a hangover.

That's why I think the healthier and more strict I get with my diet, the less I tend to go out and party. Those few lbs I put on with water retention and binging for the hangover make me miserable!!!

Gotta agree. Traditional hangover food was always a McDonald's dbl cheeseburger. Something about the grease and fat seemed to soothe the queasy stomach. Or maybe it was just habit, I dunno. I'm running into the same thing that you have, starfishkitty - now that I've cut way back on the drinks because of the calorie hits, the hangovers and cheeseburgers are pretty much gone too. Bonus!
