I have four days, working on day 5. However, the bags of Halloween candy will be opened later. If I have one, I'll probably have at least 25.
|
Well I made it:D...came through day seven fine, and now working on day eight...I have not had more than one week in a very long time, so I'm glad..
I definitely hear you Wardhog regarding the Halloween candy...I really wish that Halloween did not come in the middle of this streak I managed to put together, but that's life.. I know that I can't even have one candy, or it will start all over again...Unfortunately I'm the one designated to hand out the stuff tonite, although maybe that's not a bad thing, because I can just shovel out all the remaining stuff to the last few trick or treaters just to get it out of the house...my husband wouldn't do that; he would say he'd take it to work, but once I open the bags I want it out of the house:devil: Those last few kids are going to be mighty lucky I think because as usual, I've probably bought too much:dizzy: Have a great day all, VeggieGirl1 |
All of your posts makes me realize how much I need to get my bum back into gear. :/

Wow, it's Day 8 already! Yesterday was good...no bingeing to report and no overeating either. Made it to the gym yesterday morning and then proceeded to spend the rest of the day on my feet. Some days are like that.
Down to my ticker weight this morning (actually, I'm .2 lbs under it!). Sunday is my usual weigh-in day so I won't record anything official until then. I'm hoping to be 161 by then (I'm 8/10ths of a lb. away!). My younger sister had an open bag of Halloween candy last night (and was eating from it as she put together her bf's Halloween treat cauldron) but even though I was tempted to *just have one* mini bag of peanut m&m's, I resisted! Hopefully I won't have a problem tonight while handing out candy...I usually don't. I'll have to make sure I eat dinner before the trick-or-treaters come tho because I don't want to be hungry with a platter full of chocolate w/in arms reach! Mandos, good luck w/ Day 2! I know that the first day or two after a binge can be the toughest, so hopefully you are hanging in there! Spoz, good job limiting the bingeing! I have always thought that progress is better than perfection. Everybody else seems to be doing really well. Let's keep it up! :) |
Does walking to the grocery store (a little less than a mile, round trip) buying 6 chocolate chip cookies from the bakery, coming home and eating them all within an hour, count as binging? yeah, I thought so. I went out of my way to binge. Oh well, starting over...
I just realized today that I'm PMS-ing (sorry if TMI) so that makes sense about the extra effort for cookies. Usually I show a loss after TOM is over, so I tend not to stress the necessary chocolate fix. Tonight, I'm going to have a nice rich cup of hot chocolate, made with real cocoa powder, splenda and cinnamon. That should do the trick, and keep me well within my 100 calorie snack allowance. congrats to those of you who have stayed strong all week! you are my inspiration... |
...Put me back to day 1 (up till 2am, english muffin w. butter+cheese, x-lg bowl of popcorn w. butter+seasonings)
I don't want to weigh myself this morning but guess I'll have to to face the truth! /cheryl |
Made it through Halloween, with no candy...not even tempted:D
Of course, now I have to obsess about why it is that some times I can do this with no problem, and other times it just seems like I can't...that I go on autopilot and eat when i clearly don't want to...:p Oh well, I guess I should just enjoy this while it lasts...fretting over it will inevitably lead to binging... To those who slipped, we've all been there and will undoubtedly be there again...stay strong...you can always start over today... Veggie |
Cheryl if you dont wanna weigh yourself don't do it! one binge isnt going to put up up long term so making yourself feel guilty by going to the scales might not be worth it.
It's ok  You did great ! |
Day 9 of my 70-day binge-free personal challenge today...yesterday was great. We had about 200 trick-or-treaters last night (suburbia), and I saw some really cute costumes. Didn't even have one piece of candy, altho Reese's are my fave, but it was not for naught, as I am down to 161 today! I was so excited when I saw 161 on the scale that my soon-to-be 6 month old black lab puppy looked at me like I was crazy. LOL.
The leftovers (combined, it's about a bag of candy) will be consumed by my family over the next week or two. I'm not going near the stuff! I've worked hard to get where I am. To all those who are experiencing binges, good job/luck for getting back on track! TOM-related overeating in response to hunger is OK in my book b/c we burn more calories during that time anyway due to our metabolism increasing. |
I have five days, working on day 6. I had one fun size pack of M&Ms last night, but it was well within my calorie limit. I can tell that today is a "hungry" day, but I had a good workout and my weight is down, too.
Keep up the good work, everyone. |
Thanks Lauren :)
... I did weigh myself though...+3lbs (oops! I forgot all the Halloween candy too ....) but, good news - I'm going out today to get the 30 Day Shred Dvd - no more relaxing ! I changed around the living room furniture last night so now there's more room conducive to exercising :) ... gotta get back into my clothes! Good Job Wardhog - you're back below your goal weight! :woohoo: Hey EsperanzaBella82 - I didn't know that our metabolism increases w. TOM?!? Good news in my books! :dancer: Have a good weekend everyone! Cheers! |
EsperanzaBella82- you're doing great, keep it up!
I made day 2, but as of last night, I'm back on day 1 today. Hoping to make it through the weekend... |
Thanks so much for all the support guys! It means a lot!
Day 10 for me. Yesterday was my birthday and I had a small amount of dessert as well as sushi that I planned for in my daily calories. Had a very quiet celebration at home, which was just as well because I got tired at 8 and fell asleep on the couch watching a movie. LOL. Woke up at 7 today so looks like I needed that extra sleep. I also did indulge in 3 fun size chocolates yesterday afternoon (they were planned...poorly planned, but still...) and felt like crap afterwards, so looks like my body just doesn't like that stuff anymore. Weight is same today as yesterday (160.8-161) No extra hour for me today...Arizona doesn't observe daylight savings time. But hey, at least I don't lose an hour in the spring! ;) I love not having DST, altho now CA is 1 hour behind us and the East coast is 2 hours ahead, whereas between the spring and fall we are on CA time and 3 hours behind the East coast. Cher, I have read that in the 2 weeks before menstruation begins, basal metabolic rate increases by about 10%, which is around 160-200 extra cals daily for most women. So you can't eat 500-1000 extra cals, but you can have a little more food. However, if a woman is on the pill her metabolism might not increase during this time. Wardhog, you're doing great. It's so great that you're under goal! Even better that you have the binge-monster under control! :carrot: Mandos, good luck today with getting back on track! You can do it! I'm off to do my cardio. I'll be doing an Upper Body workout w/ my free weights later. Good luck to everybody today! Stay strong...or if you're feeling weak, stay out of the kitchen! :p |
Day 10 for me...
