Default 1 Day No Binge Challenge

Hi. I’ve been struggling to get the binging under control so I’m going to start a one day challenge for myself. The challenge is to eat “normally” all day Sunday. No out of control binges. Just three meals and two healthy snacks. Hopefully this will start me in a good direction but I'm not going to think about the future. Just one day at a time.

Anyone else looking for a binge free Sunday jump on in!

This is a great way to start. Just do what works for you! So far I have 5 days binge free, and there are many times I feel like I just have to take it one day (or hour) at a time. Keep thinking positive, and we can get through this!

Default Control

Hi ladies! I would love to be part of the Sunday Binge free Challange.
The strange part is that I am such a control freak in every other aspect of my life (a little bit of overcompensation prehaps???)

Ah well one day at a time as the saying goes!

Wow, this posting stuff really does work! I did not binge today despite having a 3 hour argument with my husband and with the offer of being taken out for buffet afterwards. But boy did I want to just pack it all in and stuff myself!! This post stayed in my mind and I knew I'd be really mad at myself if I didn't follow through!

Way to go briefcase and anyone else who made it through the day! We rock!!!! Yay!!

Flappy, I so agree with you on having no guilt baggage tomorrow! That is what keeps me from making it through the next day. I feel like a failure and so why not just give in to the cravings. Congratulations!!

Ok..I needed to see this post 3 hours ago! I have been perfect and on plan for 15 days. Yesterday, I went to 4 grocery stores scoping out some healthy items. I just happened to walk down the frozen pizza aisle as I was leaving one store of which I never shop. I saw a particular pizza that I love but which is hard to find. It just threw me for a loop they actually had it...and on sale! It was so funny...I picked it up and looked at the calorie content and put it back with a prideful motion.

On the drive home, I called my husband and told him of my accomplishment....and that seemed to fuel the desire I had for it. I think I was honestly waiting for his permission or nudge to tell me to go back and get one. Today, I have been home alone...ate well, but had to battle all the self talk abotu that pizza. I finally left the house...drove the 20 minutes bought 2 of them...came home and baked then and proceeded to eat portions of each. I like the crust in particular...so I ate the upper inch or 2 of the pizza.

I did this with the complete knowledge that I was not hungry but eating out of emotion. Today was a higher calorie day for me, so I consciously just gave in and wanted to get this binge over with, and not carry it all week. I am hoping that now I did it, I can move on.

Had to get that off my chest. Congrats to everyone that made better choices today.

Thumbs up It's OK Coachie!

Coachie,
We have all been there...it is almost like a semi conscious state where you and the object of your desire...this time pizza... were the only two entities in the world.

Listen, the difference between us and skinny people is that we don't let ourselves forget our mistakes. We dwell on the guilt and we proceed to sabotage our diets for days on end in the process.

Eating 200 pizza's is not as bad as some of the actions of people around us who do not seem to have any guilt at all!!

Coachie and everyone else on this thread...lets make a promise to each other to not be judgemental and to make this thread a guilt free zone. Coachie what if you try to think about eating that pizza as a treat that you deserved. Now that it is out of your system, make today another day to be good to yourself in a way that does not involve food. Don't beat yourself up... just carry on as if this is another day to be happy. You deserve it!!

WE ARE ALL HERE FOR YOU!!!

Coachie - Don’t beat yourself up!! If you dwell on this too much then a full blown binge might happen, at least that is what would happen to me. I know that if I just ignored the treats that I had then the big binges wouldn't happen and I wouldn't have a weight problem. My ultimate goal is to get to a healthy weight and allow myself to eat like a normal person without going nuts when I have a piece of chocolate. You are doing great!

Default One Day At A Time

Ok ladies,
Who is on board for a binge free Tuesday? Tuesdays are better than Mondays and have less temptation than Fridays and Saturdays! So its a safer bet we can get through a Tuesday...who is with me?

We can make it!!

Default Tuesdays done!

Hey gang....one way or another its over. I had some interesting moral (ok food) dilemmas but I mostly did OK! I actually started thinking about writing an email telling all of you about the binge I was contemplating and boy that snapped me back to reality.

Just thinking about having to be accountable made me stop in my tracks

Thanks to everyone on this forum who keeps me honest

What do you all say...can we make it through Wed too???
I'm game if all of you are with me
Thanks
