Default It is so easy at home..so hard at my parentS!!

so...........I started eating healthy about 1 month ago..the only *fatty* foods are for my husband and I really don't eat his desserts/sweets any more! yay!!!!!!!!! BUTTTTTTTTTT everytime I go to my parents's house I seem to go STRAIGHT to the fridge/cabinets! It is just something that I don't even think about doing it..I just do it . It is so sad because I just don't seem to stop...I see something I like and I start eating it..and don't stop until it is finished . When I go out by myself and baby, I seem to choose really healthy things and I cut my portions and take half home. BUT everytime I am with my siblings and parents I choose really unhealthy food. and eat and eat!!!!!!! I've been losing weight, but I wish those tempations stopped. WHY is it soo hard at my parents?? when I am around my siblings and parents????????????
I really want to lose this pregnancy weight, but my eating choices are so bad sometimes! (they are usually fine..)Losing pregnancy weight iis so hard and a really slow process, but when I eat I am not even thinking about eating it! I'm probably not even hungrY!!! aRGGHHHHHHHHHHHH
I am so mad at myyself for doing stupid things
=(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

It sounds like your family is a "trigger" for you and the only advice I have is to be prepared, know and accept that this is your response to being at home or with your family, and have a PLAN! You will have to guard against the behavior until you break the habit. It might become easier once it stops being a habit, but I understand how hard it is!

Hi!

First, forgive yourself! Time to start fresh!

I used to do that at my sister's, too. I agree with the person who said to be ready. It's been said a million times before, but recognizing a behaviour and wanting to stop it is the first step. The next one is putting it into action.

One more thing that works for me - Make a deal with yourself that you will have one of your OP treats when you get home if you resist the cupboards. Best wishes!

I think Tyler has hit the nail on the head! You know what you're doing and why you're doing it and thats the key to stopping. You need to make a conscious decision to stop eating that food when you visit your parents house, once you've done that you'll be able to say no in future. You beat the habit at home with your husband, so you can do it there too! Good luck
