Hi Ladies

Nothing new going on today we were down at the beach to gety some walking in but the wind was so bad we had to turn around. I managed to get 20 mins of walking done, but my DH had to trun around earlier. My Leg hurt trying to push thought that wind.

Weight is down again today,I must have had a lot of water in me the other day.Going to take an average weight for the week instead of once a week. I find it hard to w-i on a perticular day and be up for no reason,so my decision of averaging it out make more sense to me.

Have a good one

Hi everyone, I am very excited about being able to walk some on the treadmill again. My one scheduled treat meal didn't hurt me last night, as it gave me "diarrhea". I went shopping last night and got 9 long sleeve shirts at Walmart for only $82.00. It's getting colder here and none of my shirts from last winter fit now. I also went down in shirt size which is my problem area. I went from a 10-12 to an 8-10. So, that felt good and my tummy even looks pretty flat in them, which is a great bonus. I have a renewed commitment to maintaining and not trying to lose more weight, but do want more exercise for my weakened physical condition.

Sandra, I'm glad you let us know about the possible pregnancy and how that turned out. Maybe the timing just wasn't right and after you and hubby work things through, maybe a pregnancy then will be great for you both. HUGS.

Brenda, thanks for the exercise compliment. I am happy to feel like I can walk some now.

BB, you are doing just great. Keep up the good work.

Didn't get exercise in. Tomorrow I've got to go bail the boat and feed the whitetail so that'll be exercise. Didn't get my water in--only 1/2 of it, but eating was OP so that's a start. Tomorrow I should have more time to exercise IF the furnace people don't come in the morning. We've got to get the furnace checked out as it's getting COLD here. We've even had a couple snow flakes flying!! UGH!!!

I made another 1/2 mile on the treadmill tonite. Yeah, I feel great about this. I ate on program today and drank a lot of water. I'm back on track after my "free meal" last night.

Hi girls! Well they have the gym shut down this week at work, so that stinks. All is well here on the homefront. They said that it is supposed to be cold here for us tomorrow, so i am trying to break out the sweaters. I have a few, but i need to get a small white tee to wear under them cause they are a little transparent, but really warm. And OMG ladies I found something to do with my brown sugar in the house. Its a great recipe and anyone who buys exfoliating products should try this, not recommended for the face though.

Mix together:
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of olive oil
2 tsp. of coconut extract

take your regular shower and the for the last thing you do, take that mixture and rub it all over and it will leave you soft and smelling sweet. i found it in a magazine and i tried it this morning. It was wonderful. I smell like brown sugar. Mike thought i was baking something. lol Just wanted to share with you guys.

Good Morning Ladies

Not going to walk or exercise today,as I hurt my hamstring trying to walk against the heavy winds we had at the beach yesterday.

Now I have to be careful what I put on my menu today. Don't want to gain this week.

Lily-I have a threadmill, but its a manual one and its in the basement right now,as I don't have room upstairs for it. Its hasn't been used for a long time. I do have my stationary bike that I will use during the inclimate winter months ahead.

lady_adnerb-We're lucky we don't that the heavy snows like some places do. So I'll be outside as long as I can with those winds.Sometimes it hard to get your water intake done. But I saw that any liquid is Ok[not soda]or [caffine drinks]. Its that correct????? I have water during the day but at night I switch to crystal lite,as plain water I'd be visiting the b-room all night.

Have to go,take out the garbage, will post later

Hi ladies, hope everyone is having a great day. I am starting to require a lot less sleep. I'm up by 7:30 every morning now. It's getting colder here and I'm getting dressed with long sleeves as soon as I wake up. I haven't turned the heater on yet, but we did make a fire in fireplace last night. . My eating is on program and I'm slowly getting back into the treadmill walking.

My son came to visit yesterday, the first I had seen of him since Saturday. I can't help it, I really miss him since he's moved out. I am getting pretty scared from the talks of what is happening in North Korea. My son is in the Army Reserves and I sure hope he doesn't get sent somewhere overseas. He has Army Drill this weekend and I expect he'll hear more at this time.

Hi its me again.

I have a question is there a set of low,med & high carb catergory grams.????????????That we can follow as a guide.

Reason I'm asking is that when I'm looking at labels carbs-fiber =net carbs. How many grams is considered low.????????????To me its still confusing.

Example I was looking at yogurt that had 11 carbs,0 Fiber, but it has 7 gr sugar. [Lowest sugar I found] Is that exceptable on the Atkins diet????

Thanks In advance

BB, I found LC yogurt at Walmart that has 5 carbs and is tasty. I think it's Yoplait or Dannon, I can't remember. But it's creamy and tasty. I'd think 11 carbs is too high, because it wouldn't leave you much carbs for the rest of the day. My Atkins For Life, maintenance book, spells out which foods are in the low, medium and high carb food groups and which you should eat frequently, rarely or often. Maybe that would help you.

Lily - Congratulations on getting back to exercising. I will light a candle for your son that he isn't called to battle.

Sandra - Sorry to hear about the little one. Glad to see you are pushing through on the woe anyway.

Brenda - the only way you are going to start getting that exercise in is to schedule it. I normally have to do it right after I get the boys off to school and before I start doing household chores like cooking, cleaning washing or general running. Sometimes I make myself exercise before I go to bed even though it is 3 AM. You aren't alone though - I am right here trying to get back on this woe with you.

BB - I bought Simply Jiff to try out to kill the cravings. I compared it to the "natural no sugar no salt added peanut butter" and it had the same number of carbs per tablespoon. I LOVE peanut butter and syrup sandwiches, so hopefully I can withstand the temptation to bake atkins bread. I already have Davinci Maple syrup.

My scale has not budged yet. I am going to have to change my signature. I am trying to tell myself, it isn't increasing either. I am trying to resist the temptation to go back to the microwave diet. I know if I do it I will lose since it severely restricts my calories (about 1100 - 1200 a day), but just about all those meals are carb-loaded. I only saw a couple of South beach that would keep me on program.

Ms. Chris, Thanks.
I have found that I really have to limit the peanut butter, it gives me such cravings for other sweets.

The temp tonite is supposed to be 28-32 degrees. That is really cold to me. We have a fire going in fireplace, but I will have to turn heater on when we go to bed. I do love it when it snows, bad thing is that's when I like to cook big stews and chili's and bake desserts. I miss my sweets and I'm going to have to check out some low carb desserts to make. I like to cook.
