  • Looks like everyone is doing great. I used the treadmill again last night and am going swimming today. I think that alternating my exercise a little is helping. My kids are going to be gone this weekend and that will be kind of nice for DH and I to have the house to ourselves. He is working over-time, so I should be able to get some extra cleaning done. I think Brenda needs to come to my house, she's on a roll with that cleaning.
  • Hiya ladies!

    It certainly sounds like all of you are on plan and losing weight! Wow! I have been on plan, but I haven't lost any weight in the past week so I'm still just 7 lbs from where I started.... and I'm ok with that. I'm not ultra discouraged, just a little disappointed. I've managed to stick with my exercise routine so I'm feeling pretty darned good about myself anyway. Of course, I'm not doing allll that much at the moment, but I keep adding something more in each week or another 5 minutes of exercise and it seems to be really working in terms of I can feel my body getting used to the exercise. So, I may not be losing weight, but darnit I am getting into shape! I'm eating healthy and exercising, I figure the weight has GOT to come off eventually, right?

    Robin: Definitely hope you had taken the day off! If you're feeling tired it's the best time to take a break. Give muscles and everything time to "repair" before pushing them some more

    Lily: Have fun w/DH this weekend. And sorry, cleaning my own house is a big enough job w/out going to someone elses. Even though it's more fun to clean someone elses than my own

    Rayne: I love your attitude! Makes for a healthy mind...and the healthy body will follow Keep it up-it'll happen!

    I took a day off from cleaning yesterday. Still did the dishes (amazing, I can see the bottom of the sinks. EWW! ) though. But it was nice. Youngest DD and I watched movies and crocheted all day. I'd like more days like that. But it's not going to get my kitchen done! That's the last major room to do. I'm thinking of taking THAT in sections. Today I'll do a counter or two. And a little of the floor. Then wait until Monday (or tomorrow) to do some more. I've NO clue where to put the stuff. Which is why it's just sitting there. But it's got to get done!! Then the house will be presentable. Not clean by others standards I'm sure, but clean enough for me Then the task of KEEPING it clean. Anyway, been OP and even getting my water in. Scale has gone down a little. So hopefully I'm back on a roll...downward!!

    Yup, I took the day off exercise yesterday. Im still tired, but not like yesterday....I think alot of it has to do with my body getting back into the l/c woe!! So dh and I took a walk thru the mall. I havent a clue why he wont walk outside when its nice! In the winter he says its always too cold....so who knows!? I'll head over to the gym in a little while and do a bit on the treadmill.

    Yesterday something I ate certainly didnt agree with me. Im thinking it was the salmon (canned) every now and then I get a can of salmon or tuna, that turns my stomach. Then Im green all day, and spending most of it in the bathroom You can just never tell!

    Eating is still op, and Im doing good. The cravings are gone, but I still have the after supper munchies. Ive been keeping busy after supper, and trying to stay away from the tv until at least 9.

    Thats about it in my corner of the world....have a good one ladies!
  • I'm still staying on-program. Breakfast was a sausage and cheese omelet. I won't eat again til dinner and it will be baked chicken and some brussel sprouts. I need to go shopping for some new sandals today and grocery shopping. I have been cleaning house thanks to incentive from Brenda. Kitchen, Living room and 1 bathroom are done now.Lots more to clean. I plan on getting on treadmill this evening. I'm taking a break right now. Good luck to everyone .

  • Ok so I didnt lose anything today, but i didnt gain, I maintained. I think I know why too and no i didnt cheat, but I did have a diet soda and I think that may have something to do with it, so I am staying away from those. You guys would have been so proud of me today! They were serving nachos at work today and I wanted them reall really really really really bad, but I told myself no and ate the lunch that i brought and made it through the day. I am so proud of me.
  • Hi, Leens! How are you doing these days?

    Can you say HOT? It hit 112f today on the way home from work. We are supposed to be in for a bad heat wave over the next few days. I need to wash the dogs - poor things are itching bad lately (don't think its fleas just hot spots) - but I'll do that early and then just stay in and do cleaning (like everyone else! lol). The boys are gone camping with SH so its going to be a quiet weekend. Unless they come home early and then we will probably go see Click.

    I've been adding many salads to my eating lately, which helps me to eat cleaner overall. I still need to tame the carb monster more effectively - but I'm taking baby steps in that direction. The fluffy tummy I've developed is helping those steps along - lol.

    My stress level is doing a bit better (but I DON'T like the boys gone - soooo lonely). I've come to terms with having to sell the house. I'm not happy about SH forcing this on us but we will get thru it. Change can be a good thing.

  • Kel....my ex sister-in-law was forced to sell her house too, but (I dont remember the details) she had alot of control on how things went. She listed it, and priced it high....really high, she didnt sell that house for about 6 yrs Here's hoping you can maybe do the same thing!

    Well, here's to the weekend ladies! The hardest part of this WOE! I've left behind 2 pounds this week and I REALLY don't want to start this over again. This yo-yo'ing isn't doing my body any good. And I've got to take control. dust: I'm going to need it as I have a graduation party today! I figure, if there's nothing I can really eat, then I'll just wait til we get home. Tomorrow DH plans on making steaks on the grill. So that's covered So here's hoping that I'll have control this whole weekend!!:

    Our new business cards finally arrived last night at 8pm!! Its been a long 3 week wait, but wow, it was worth it. We had special folding cards made with silver stamping on the front....Im impressed!!
    It was worth the wait! We finish putting the last of the lettering on the truck today, and fixing a couple things from the other day....I managed to get a few bubbles under the vinly with the mirrored vinyl, you just cant have any bubbles So thats on the agenda for today....and passing out a few new cards

    Brenda, sounds like you have your eating mapped out for the weeked. You can do it!

    Im still op and doing pretty good. The hardest part for me will be when all the kids are out of school, and eating cool summer stuff!!!! I need to get at least another 20lbs off before I venture into the watermelon aisle I love that stuff!!

  • Hey Brenda snack on something small before going, that way if you cant eat, by the time you get home you wont be starving and likely to cheat. You can do it girl i have faith in you.

    Well guys I went to the gym this morning and I am down another pound, yup thats right. That makes it 5 for this week so far. Today I am going to go relax and float the river, but no beer for me, I am just going to stay hydrated with some good ol water.
  • WTG Brenda on the 2 lbs. That's great. Wtg iloveMike on the pound. I sure hope to see a loss on Tuesday. Robin, I know what you mean about the watermelon, I love it and have eaten quite a bit of it since starting Atkins. I am now off fruit til the other 2 lbs. drops. I'm also slowing down on the low-carb tortillas til I reach goal. Good luck everyone.

    Everyone seems to be doing so well... WAY TO GO! My unofficial weigh in today (ok, so I'm obsessed with weighing myself in and it's not good, I know, but I'll get bored with it eventually) shows me down about a pound. The hardest part about the weekends for me is staying hydrated. Last weekend I freaked out on Monday because I was up 2 lbs! But it was water, because Tuesday morning it was allll gone.

    Brenda: Good luck this weekend. I'm rooting for you to stay on plan!

    ilovemike: Wow 5 lbs... way to go!! You're doing sooo well!

    lily: I so hope you're down another pound on your weigh-in day. I can't even imagine being as close to goal as you are right now! However, I read what you write for your clothing sizes and I think to myself that you have already succeeded and done so very well. You are an inspiration!
