Good Morning

Had a really nice weekend, mom came for a couple days. She got destressed, and well rested, then spent a small fortune on shoes always a great way to beat stress.

Back to it this morning....have a great day ladies

Robin: Sounds like a great weekend!!

Well, I went to the bridal shower on Saturday and ICK! I won't mention what I ate. Decided (with DH) to do a slight version of the "fat fast". Mainly eating eggs, but adding a small amount of onions for flavor Also eating some chicken salad. Discovered it's actually not bad!! I figure if I can keep myself on THIS for 3-5 days..I should be able to keep myself OP. 1 day down. Time to get my MIND on program!!

Mornin' Girls!

Well back to the gym today. After the kids get done with breakfast and lessons, we'll head out. I plan on 3 miles today. We'll see...

I am hating that digital scale. It has thrown me off as to my real weight. Was I a few pounds heavier when I started, or have I not lost what I think I have. The non-digital is the one I began with, but the digital is about 2.5 pounds more. *sigh* I give up on that damn thing. I should have a long time ago LOL

Robin- Sounds like an enjoyable weekend you had. Shoes have never been my vice, but I have a feeling it's my daughters. She told her father one day, that she was going to be like Emelda Marcos! LMAO! She's only 12 for crying out loud.

Brenda - I hear ya on the mini fat fast. I might do that for a few days this week to really get kicked into gear. I think I might have stalled again, but not sure. I'll give it a few days before I decide.

Have a lovely day guys. It's gonna be a high of 70 here.

Falon--my mom had the same problem. But hers was 10 pounds different. She took it back and now her new one is LOWER than her regular scale...so she kept it When we got a digital it matched our regular one. Good luck w/the scale situation!

So far so good. I've gotten exercise (blasted snow!!) and am doing ok with the fast. Forgot to eat lunch and started to understand WHY I've got to eat. Went and got some more canned chicken (maybe should just make UP a chicken breast and shred it?) plus a can of macadamia nuts. I need something right now that crunches. Did I mention TOM is coming this week?? One way to make sure to stay OP and not cheat during it Don't want to waste the effort.

hey all. thought i would pop in and say hi. i haven't been around in awhile and wanted to let you all know i'm still around. i have been studying hard and spending lots of time at the shop working on my apprenticeship (cosmetology). i haven't been doing real good eating or exercise wise. i am getting my water in though. need to work harder on things and getting it all balanced. it's slowly coming around, just taking time and not happening overnight. hope you all are doing good and staying op. i'll be back to check in when i can.

Hi

Just wanted to post real quick... I sucessfully finished my first week of induction & was OP the entire time, which I feel really good about! I always have "cheated" on diets. For the most part, this has been easier than I thought (not easy, just easier! ) I'm on day 10 of induction & am hopeful I will finish the week strong. I have a baby shower this Saturday, which means CAKE, so I am sure that will difficult...

We bought an elliptical machine about a week ago & it was delivered & set up this last Saturday -- no excuses not to exercise now!!

Robin - sounds like you had a fabulous weekend

Lady Adnerb - Good luck

Falon - forget the scale!! (I know, much easier said than done!). It's a mantra I am trying to live by myself. I weigh myself constantly & I'm trying really hard to stick to weighing myself only once a week. It's hard, but the scale (especially electronic!) plays too many mind games with me otherwise.

It was great Mom, loves shoes. Ive never been a shoe person, simply because I have size 10 feet, and when they are that big, they look like Im wearing shoe boxes....so that was never fun. BUT I found heaps of nightgowns, new shirts, awesome makeup and a lands end fleece housecoat for $19.99!!! I made up for mom's shoe deals Lots of great deals right now, if you have the time to look!

Robin, I have size 10 feet too, but I have a closet full of shoes. I have 10 pairs of just black shoes. My DH doesn't understand at all. I have about 10 pairs of sandals too.

Falon, I spent the money and bought the same scale you see in your doctor's office. I keep it in the basement and threaten my DH within an inch of his life if he adjusts my settings. I figure as long as I'm using the same one set the same every week, it should be good.

Brenda, I have deviled eggs, macademia nuts, and chicken salad - time for the 3 day fat fast for me too! I want to see what happens.

My weekend was nuts. We spent the whole day on Saturday cleaning and then had the Oscar party on Sunday night. I ate too much fruit -- but it was strawberries so not too bad.

Where do you get one of those scales. My husband actually wants to get one, but I have no clue where to find one. I think those are probably the most acurate of them all. If I just went early enough to the gym I would weigh in there on their doctor scale.

Scale shocked me again this morning so I guess I will keep the weight it showed. after having such a bad weekend and made worse this mrning and again this evening I very easily could have hogged out and it does sound tempting especially since I can not see the weight change in my hips or thighs. or gut. It is a bit distressing but it is moving out of my face so I guess that is good.

Should have not bought the nuts. It's like they're "free" food. ARGH! Well, didn't do TOO badly. Just need to make sure not to go nut-wild. Got my water in wahoo!!

Falon, I bought mine through a drugstore in Arizona. You might have to go to a Mom & Pop drugstore if any of those exist. It was something like $199.

Coffee is on. come on over and have a cup.

Suposed to get a bit warmer here soon. I am hoping. I can not wait until the spring just about what 14 or is 13 more days, then he weather I know will start to turn. I am tired of going out to the car and having to scrape the inside as well as the outside. (I have too much body heat I steam up the inside lately)
