March Exercise Accountability
March 1st.....Im going to do my best to make this my best month yet.

Ok. I'm going to TRY/ATTEMPT to get more exercise in. I'm a slug and usually can find every excuse in the book NOT to exercise. So I'm going to start off slow....just the 1 mile WATP. DH questioned whether my back really was strong enough to do exercises so it was HIS idea to start slow. So that's where the "try/attempt" will come in....depending on my back.

Brenda- remember to stretch! Another method to strengthen your back, and is gentle is yoga. It is so easy on the body, and gets you into an unbelieveable flexable condition. It doesn't matter what size you are. Yoga really is for everyone! :) Glad your going to get moving. I really have been feeling better since getting of my bum and doing something.
Speaking of such - my accountability today: 3.5 miles on the track and then the other arrands that probably had me walking another 1/2 mile. So, I might be able to say 4 miles. :D Now I have to go back out to Petco and the library because I forgot to while I was out. Shesh. I'm pooped. |
Robin - Monday morning I'm with you. In fact, I may go to the gym for a short while tomorrow morning. I feel a lot better now.

I would like to join this thread. O.K.? I want to have to be accountable to someone that I am going to exercise everyday.
So starting tomorrow!!! I will make a point to exercise and then post!!!! Good luck to everyone on this thread. Let's get moving. A tip: First thing in the morning get dressed and put your shoes on. Leave your shoes on. You may need to get an indoor pair, but I swear, when you keep your shoes on you will want to keep moving. If you know flylady, you know were this is coming from! Well tomorrow is my trip back to the gym - so i'll post if I do my 3 miles. I am still motivated to drop this before we go on holiday. I crunched the numbers, and if I loose 2 pounds a week, i'll reack my goal right before we leave.

Add 20 minutes more of shoveling that white....stuff. Sweated my butt off because the weather decided to get SUNNY and 31!!!! HEATWAVE!!!! :lol:

Went to the gym and walked 4 miles on the track. It took 1 hour @ 1 mile per 15 minutes. Remember, i'm 4'11 so my strides not like the other tall ladies that pass me up, but to me the strides are good. LOL Do it all again tomorrow. :):hug: |

Just got back from the gym, and I completed my 4 miles. Right now, i'm only doing the walking to get some of the bulk off, and will work on tightening up in a few weeks. Now if I could only get Andy to the gym.... *grins* |

AAck! I missed a few days of logging.
March 13 -- 45 minutes treadmill at 2.9 with aerobic incline program (2.07 miles). Triceps and biceps 8 sets each, 15 reps, varying weights. March 14 -- 45 minutes treadmill with 30 minutes at 3.0 and 15 minutes at 2.8-2.9 (2.18 miles). Leg curl and leg extension 10 sets each, 15 reps, varying weights. |
35 minutes treadmill 3.0 to 3.2 mph with random incline program (1.71 miles)
15 minutes elliptical (.97 miles) Seated row, chest press, lat pull down, shoulder press - 3 sets each 15 reps with varying weights per machine 15 minute Core Power class My hips and abs are totally 100% sore and screaming right now!!! |
Way to go Ladies on your exercise for the month. I have been going to Curves at least 4 times a week and I love it. Today my DD and I went together. It was fun.

Just came back from the gym and managed to burn off 980 cals with 60 min on the eliptical. And tanned for 10 min. Yea that is exercise I have to hold my girls up so I do not get boob tan lines!!! |

Today - Curves at 4. Would have went for a walk after that, but we have a winter storm pending...so I wasn't sure what the weather was gonna do. HURRY UP SPRING!!!!

I forgot to log on yesterday so actually both days (today too) I did 700 cals about 4 miles on the eliptical for 47 min. Yesterday I did some power arms with the weights. today no.
