Default 2nd Induction question

Hello! I am new here, well sort of. And I just started Atkins, again. My question is, have any of you started atkins, did the induction, and then ate carbs for a few days? Did you gain alot back right away? Did you do the induction again and lose it all at the same rate as the first time? I ask, because I did the induction and I lost weight, then I ate junk food. I like atkins alot, and i am trying to start back up and would like some motivation. Thanks!

When I first went on Atkins, I lost 13.5 pounds in a week and a half. Then I got really cold and I couldn't get warm. I didn't like that feeling and decided to eat something to raise my level of glycogen. I had a single piece of wheat bread. It raised my levels, lowered my ketosis levels, but I also stopped losing weight then.

No I didn't immediately gain back a lot of weight, but I did slow down my losses. I went on and off 20 grams or less for the next 8 months and continued to lose pretty well. I wasn't on it perfectly the whole time. I had ups and downs. I kept a chart of my progress and there are a lot of hills and valleys on that chart. But I continued to lose.

You can go back on anytime. You probably won't lose at exactly the same rapid rate and everytime you retry the less "fast" you will lose. But you aren't lost, keep going.

One thing I will tell you though. If you get to where low carb is your lifestyle and you start to suddenly eat high carb foods it can literally make you sick. I have learned that about my body anyway. If I'm doing very low levels of carbs and I suddenly flood my body with too many carbs I get sick to my stomach.

I was doing that one year. Was going to take one day off with my husband for our anniversary. I literally couldn't finish my meal in the restaurant and had to go to the bathroom to throw up.

Your body gets used to a lower level of carbohydrates and the sudden inundation of high carb food is a shock to it.

My "few" days would last weekends. I'd be good during the week...then binge on the weekend. So yup, gained weight. And I'm back on induction. Nope, it's not leaving as fast as the first time..BUT I'm still happy with this WOE because I FEEL better. THAT is what I REALLY like about this WOE. So you might not lose as fast...but you'll lose
