Default Thursday

Leenie: Glad to see you (even for a few minutes)

LeeAnn: Welcome and congrats on the exercise and water intake!! That's my hardest problem right there! Keep up the great work!!!

Morgaine: Welcome and feel free to post anywhere you wish

Jina: I hear you on the not being bloated and the energy part. It's just why does the energy have to last THROUGH THE NIGHT so I can't sleep Maybe you're burning more fat on some days?? Sorry, have no answer on that one.

Robin: the coat sounds absolutely darling! I've not ever made mittens..but I can make scarves. I'm currently working on an afghan for my sister-in-law for her bridal shower. Which reminds me I should get going on that and finish it because I've no clue when the shower is going to be

I'm not sure when I'll have a chance to get in the pool again. Dad was in the hospital yesterday (surgery went well and he should be out today. Thanks for all prayers and well wishes!) and today I have my nieces' boys so she can plan her wedding. Decided NOT to buy new clothes for it. I'm going to wear the pink capris I got for Easter. I only wore them once so they're still like brand new. Would like a new silky tank top or dressy top to go with it though. The wedding is going to be outside and more casual so I should be ok with that. Tons of other GS baloney to dig through today. I'm thinking this is going to be my last year as leader. I don't know if I can handle the politics and red tape and super-strict rules much longer. So it's off to get ready to take youngest DD to summer school and then start to work on some of the red taped issues. ARGH!!!!! Going to get my water intake in today also!! It's a must!!!!!!!!!!

Default Yuck

Good Morning all!

Good news - down another pound

Bad News - The dreaded ketosis body odor has reared it's ugly head. YUCK YUCK YUCK. It's most noticeable in my urine. Can't say it's in my breath for sure - I did the "breathe into a cupped hand & sniff" routine, but I don't think that's real accurate and I"m not brave enough to go ask someone to smell my breath.......so - meanwhile - extra showers are taking place....

Default Friday

Morgaine: Congrats on the weight loss. I hear you on the body odor. Hopefully this means I'll see at least a few pounds dropped during WI tomorrow to make it worth it

Well, the weekend is almost here. I get the GS checkbook signed over to me today. Going to take the girls shopping so they can buy their dad a BD present. It's his birthday tomorrow--and the silly man volunteered to work a few hours. Well, he'll be working when we have to take the animals to the vet so that'll be ok. Church picnic on Sunday. Other than that not much planned this weekend.
Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Testing...I've made two posts in the last 3 days and neither of them would go through. So, send a test first this time.

Edited to add:

Figures!!! I wrote back and replied to everyone TWICE and I hate that it didn't go through. Just know I was thinking of all of you and I'll see if I can't do better next time...lol!

Morgaine: I definitely notice the nasty smell/taste in my mouth. I haven't noticed it anywhere else.. hopefully, I don't have it. If I do, that's bad for everyone else because I can't smell it!

Brenda: I've never been to an outdoor wedding, but that sounds nice -- the more casual the better, IMO. Is your dad home? How's the GS stuff going? How's the water intake? Have fun with your DH on his birthday.

Lori: That stinks! I absolutely hate that. Hope things are going well with you.

We've got a double-header tonight for softball -- games at 7 and 8 p.m. I'm sure it will be nice and hot, and I'm pretty sure we'll lose. But, it's lots of fun anyway, and it's some exercise. Plus, we always go out and have fun after the game.

Tomorrow I am going to a house-warming party with a friend. I don't even know the people, but he said he could bring a guest, so I'm it. I'm not sure what will be there in terms of food and drink, but it could pose trouble... I'll have to watch myself. Hopefully, we can make it to the beach before that. Maybe that will be motivation to watch what I'm eating -- remembering what I looked like in my swimming suit earlier that day!

Then, Sunday is church and softball practice. Usually that's about it -- they are spaced perfectly so they take up most of the day.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Take care,
Jina

Default Saturday

Lori: Wonder what happened to the posts. Glad to see it worked now

Jina: Have fun at the party and you'll do great I think dad was allowed to go home Thursday already, GS stuff is still a mess (never got the checkbook switched over. She backed out), the water intake went downhill but still working on it, and DH wants to ignore his birthday. So it's just going to be a regular day?!

Good news!! Down 2 pounds! WOOHOO!! That's the way I like the scale to drop! lol. I'll settle for 1-2 pounds a week til I'm back to where I was earlier this year (or last year it was). I just have to get through the holidays NOT scarfing the bad stuff down and I should be able to keep it off this year. I was looking for LC desserts to make for DH but he said he didnt' want anything--so I'm going to (for once) listen to him. But chocolate torte/pie sounds SOOO delicious. Might have to make it anyway just to see what it tastes like!! Have to take the animals to the vet today. Not thrilled about that. Never took all 3 in at the same time. The girls will have to deal with the cats while I try and wrestle with the dog. She gets SUPER hyper when we're there. Pulls me all over (she's over 100 pds last time she was weighed). So that's the plan for today.
Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Morning

well today is my first day back to hard core induction!! I have my egg salad made, tuna and salmon bought, and a couple dozen eggs in the fridge!! Lettuce and stuff for dh to make my salads. Here's hoping getting back to this way of eating fixes whats going on with me.

Brenda~ sounds like quite an adventure you have planned for the vets! Congratulations on the 2lbs gone!!

Have a great day all!

Default Sunday

Robin: My fingers are crossed for you!! Sounds like you're prepared...don't forget the water

DH's birthday passed with only a couple bites of cake. I bought one of those new bowl cakes. They're probably only a 1 serving cake. Figured this way the girls would eat it up that night and we could each (DH and myself) have a bite. It was ok. I also made some garlic and cheese biscuits. It was missing something and didn't really have much taste. Disappointed Today is the church picnic so hopefully I can get away with not eating much there that's not OP. Will work on the water tomorrow

I made it thru the day yesterday. I didnt get in much water, but I did get in alot of iced green tea. So today Im going to take a tip from Jina (I think...I cant remember who) and fill my water jug and have that drunk before I dip into the green iced tea.

The only high carb item I had yesterday were the 6 pea pods out of the garden. But even with those I was still under my 20...so all is good.

Brenda~ have fun at the church function, the last one I went to, all the food was potluck, and the ladies had recipe cards for what they made. I got some awesome recipes that time!!

Have a great day all!
