    Well, stayed OP last night but have GOT to get rid of the LC ice cream and everything and stock up on legal induction friendly LC treats! Did I mention I hate this humid heat and it makes me more of a slug so I don't want to do ANYTHING? Yup, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it I'll work on the water first and then try to get in more exercise. Otherwise I've been OP!! WOOHOO!!! Haven't stepped on the scale. Really don't want to be disappointed. I think the only way I'm going to lose more weight is to get back into that induction phase. I've just got to gear down and do it!!

    Brenda: Congrats for being OP! That's more than I can say.

    Well, my eating hasn't been the best lately. My dad came for a 10-day visit, and I tried to stay OP, but failed somewhat -- mostly with ice cream. He left on Monday, and I've been trying to get things back on track. I had one or two OP days, but I am still struggling with cutting out sugar again completely. I just love the stuff! Eesh. Well, I'll try again today -- so far, so good.

    At least I've still been getting exercise in. I'm still attempting to jog, and I can run a 1/2 mile nonstop. Probably not that impressive to most, but for me, it's progress!

    This weekend, a friend is having a wig party for her birthday. Everyone has to wear a wig. It should be pretty fun -- I'll try to get some pictures to post.

  • Jina: I'm impressed with the jogging. To me, 1/2 a mile nonstop is a lot! I wouldn't be able to do it. I'm hoping (best layed plans of mice and women..) that when it cools off I get the energy to exercise. The only exercise I'm going to get lately is in the pool!!
  • Brenda: Believe me, if not for an air-conditioned gym, I wouldn't be exercising either. But, swimming is great exercise. I occassionally swim in the apartment complex pool, but during the summer, it's not really even refreshing -- it feels like a hot tub!
  • Hi, ladies I haven't been posting because we were on vacation. We just got back yesterday, and I feel awful. I cheated (BAD) every day we were on vacation. I am scared to get on the scale... I know I gained back what I lost the past 3 weeks. We have to make a grocery trip on Sunday, and I am buying what I need to eat so I can get back on track. Has anyone else fallen off the wagon for a whole week? It's going to be hard to get focused again, but I WANT to lose this weight!
  • Hi, Kelly. I know I have been off plan for a week or even more. OK, so just recently that happened... Anyway, the best thing to do is just to get back on track ASAP! Don't get down on yourself, focus on what you can do today, right now, to start eating healthy. The first few days of getting back on plan may be tough, but once those are under your belt, the rest will come easier. You can do this -- we all can do this!
  • Jina: Yup, our pool feels more like a sauna than a refreshing pool also. I told DH that I wanted to dump water out, put fresh in so that it'd be cooler. But he reminded me I spent mega $$ to get the PH and all that stuff to this level...and to dump the water out and add more....well, it'd be more money and fidgeting I'd have to do to get it corrected again.

    Kelly: Welcome to the club. I've gone off plan for longer than a week. And I'm STILL trying to get my butt back on track. Jina definitely said it right: Get back on plan ASAP! The longer you delay the harder it is!

    Why do good intentions start out so well and then go down the drain? I need to quit eating peanuts. And all the other stuff that I shouldn't be eating (strawberries, etc) until a later phase. I need to get back to basics. Going shopping tomorrow and DEFINITELY getting TONS of lettuce. Yup, I can survive on salads. Then it's getting the WATER drank and figuring out a way to EXERCISE. Key ingredients in making this work. I'd like to lose at least 10 pounds by my birthday (that's a couple months off). It should be do-able..yes?? So I need you all to do major butt kicking to help get me on induction (and through it) and keep me accountable!!

    I have fell OP for a week too. Actually it has been more like almost 2 weeks I have been trying to get back on today and I ALMOST got through , and then ended up eating a piece of cake since I had no dinner. I had a kitchen show and did not eat there so when I got home I was starving and ended up eating a pc of the cake I brought home. geez! I am so disappointed in myself. I was finally doing good again. I gained 10 pounds on vacation so that bites. I have GOT to get back in gear!
