    Whats shakin ?

  • Morning,
The weather is going on 10 days of rain, rain and more rain. I am having a cup of coffee to get going this morning and then off to the eliptical for a little exercise. I do prefer the outdoor walk.

Thank you lunch today for the auction and then karate for the kids after school. Not too much else going on....

  • Leenie: How's it going today??

L: Not sure I could handle that much rain. Then again, our temps are supposed to drop and we're supposed to have chances of rain for like 4 days. Not as bad as 10 though. Hope the sun comes out for you soon!!

Another day of OP. And the weekend is looming up. Got in more water yesterday and of course peed like a race horse. Only good thing about not working is that I'm close to a bathroom Tomorrow I've got to leave early so not sure I'll get online to post because I'm going with my sis to take her dog to a specialist. She (the dog) has water on her lungs and the vets around here aren't able to cure it with antibiotics and such. So I offered to tag along for support. As far as I know DH is still OP also. So we're even on the bet. Just wish the scale would start dropping down. Maybe I screwed up too badly with the wishy washy way I was doing Atkins and it won't work for me now But I'm still going to give it a shot until July. Well, there's the chicken bbq coming up in June that I'm trying to figure out how to work around. It's a dinner type thing you buy and proceeds go towards the fire department. We've gone every year since we've been married. And it involves cole slaw, baked potato, cookie and of course the chicken. Maybe I'll bring a salad of my own
  • Leenie:

L: Yuck. That much rain sounds miserable.

Brenda: Great job for getting more water in and staying OP!

Things are going well here. DH and I went to a baseball game last night, and I managed to avoid all the bad things to eat there. I absolutely love cotton candy, and there must have been 15 cotton candy vendors there, all loaded down with cotton candy. Surprisingly, though, it wasn't too tough to refuse. I think I've got my motivation back to like it was when I first started this WOE.

We're going to the game again tonight. It's extremely cheap entertainment -- free parking and $5 tickets for Major League Baseball. Amazing!

Well, I hope you all have a great Wednesday!

    Take care,
    Jina
  • Free parking and $5 tickets??? I would nearly LIVE at the ballpark! lol

    Hi,
I am new to the boards but not LC I have been doing Atkins about 3 weeks now. I am currently 145 lbs and my goal is 120lbs. I have 25 lbs to lose. I was sick today and had to leave work, I am afraid to eat now. How are you all doing? How much have you lost?
  • Kel: We nearly do! I absolutely love baseball. And, although at times, it's questionable whether the Devil Rays play baseball, they can still be fun to watch (although a bit frustrating). No one goes to the games, so they try to entice people with $5 tickets -- works for me!

tama25: Welcome! I'm so glad you've joined us. Congratulations on your loss so far! I hope you are feeling better.
