I never count calories only carbs. I have yet to go over 20 carbs on Induction. I have to drink coffee or use condiments just to make it past 10. I eat when I feel a little hungry which is about 5-6 small meals a day. I eat at least 3 servings of my veggies a day, no more then 4 oz of cheese & of course a meat source several times a day. But its different meat like sliced deli chicken, eggs, smoked sausage, chicken breast, steak, etc. I never have cravings & sometimes I have to force myself to eat. I use to be a food a holic. I couldnt stop thinking about it especially junk. If I went grocery shopping I always bought ice cream, snack cakes, candy. I would down at least 1/4 of that in the first day I bought it. Now I dont crave or fight temptations to not have chocolate or junk. I have had low carb chocolate & I love it but then all day it makes me want sweets. If I dont have it then I'm fine. In the beginning I will agree its tough. It took me like 3 times to get past day 3 of Induction without cheating. When I did cheat I would go overboard & binge. Now after awhile things just dont taste as good as you remember them tasting. Give it time & if you do it right, Atkins can really help you. I cant give enough praise to Atkins. I have been on pills, diets, weight loss centers & this is the only thing to make me happy. My stomach has shrunk significantly in the 9 days I have been on Induction. Also I take supplements to help my weight loss. At first you wont want to exercise but then after awhile you will. Trust me. You will get bored with sitting. Just make it past that first hump & things should start to fall into place.
