Default Tired

I've noticed this more and more. I'm ALWAYS tired. I take vitamins and stuff. Even after awhile when I was always OP I was tired. Anyone have a clue why that would be? I sleep through the night (most often now), wake up feeling like I'm WIDE awake....then after eating breakfast (which is an hour after I've been up) I feel like I could take a nap. And of course the feeling lasts all day. Sometimes I actually sit in front of the tv at night and close my eyes....and almost fall asleep (I think a couple times I've taken power naps). This is nuts!!! I want the wide-awake-can't-get-enough-done-cuz-I've-got-to-do-it-all-at-once-cuz-I've-got-energy-to-burn feeling again! HELP!!!

I don't know how you feel about taking pills, but I always take some ginseng when I feel like that. It contains no ephedrine (which I would advise to STAY CLEAR OF) but is all natural and really gives me the extra boost.

I go through periods like that Brenda- a while back I was falling asleep ALL the time (especially in the car, though uh, not while I was driving) and then it just went away...maybe it's just a down time for you, but sometimes I find that the more I give into it, the worse it gets....

Brenda: I am tired ALL THE TIME! But I assume it is my allergies, someone snoring beside me, wine at night not helping me sleep and of course the dreaded NO EXERCISE. Sometimes I am so tired I can't even THINK of exercising. I also read an article the other day about perimenopause and the fact that this issue and cause sleeping problems....among other things.

When I first read your post I thought...maybe it is thie WOE.... I take my vitamins each morning too. One time I was worse when I took those Carb Smart vitamins...they have NO iron in them. I got a little better when I went back on my regular multi's.

Not much help...but I can commiserate!

The thing is. I started out taking the Atkins vitamins. But 3 a day got a bit costly. Not to mention before I switched I was getting tired on those also. Maybe I need to switch vitamins again. But I was taking an iron supplement with it.
The article about perimenopause wouldn't have been online would it? If so could you pass it along? I swear I've been going through something weird and that's the only thing I could think of.
