Cool Atkins Food choices??

I have only been on Atkins for a week and already I feel like I just don't have enough food choices. I have had roasted chicken twice. Garlic chicken, pot roast, hamburger and more eggs than I usually eat in a year. I have also had lots of salads and other veggies but I am not feeling like the choices are there for me. The food just seems so boring. When I was doing the low-fat thing I felt like I had a bigger variety of foods. When I go to my cabinet now, I can't have anything in there. It's all low fat. I have 6 other people to feed besides myself and I have them eating low-fat. My kids are not meat eaters. Does anyone have any good reciepes??.... Please share them with me, I am desperate!

Sorry I can't help. There is a recipe section--have you tried there? I'm sure that when the week starts again people will check in here and help.

There's tons of great recipes out there! You just have to be willing to wrap your brain around some new concepts. Like cauliflower makes a great substitute for potatoes in a lot of cases. And try some new things - have you tried spaghetti squash? It's amazing!

There is a recipe section here. There's also www.atkins.com and www.atkinsbythebook.com and www.lowcarbluxury.com for starters. Get adventurous!

Note of caution: I don't recommend spending much time with the low carb 'treats' right now. Part of the purpose of induction is to establish better eating habits. Eating junk is eating junk whether it's low carb or not

Thanks for the info, I will have to check those sites out. My hubby and I are both doing this and trying to please someone other than yourself can be a real challenge. I don't mind compromising because nothing will stand in the way of what I want in my weight loss journey.
Congrats to the both of you on your weightloss!!
