Cool Hungry on Atkins???

Hi everyone,
I have been an Atkins girl on and off for about 3 years with a lot of success. I should have stayed OP last time, but tried carb blockers so I could eat out at my favorite Chinese restaurant. Unfortunately, that made me feel invincible and I started craving carbs again and fell off the wagon. I'm back to business now and done with induction, but I am finding that I am hungry all the time. My question is, even though I am sticking to the Atkins plan to the letter, could the fact that I am drinking insane amounts of green tea speed up my metabolism enough to make me hungry all the time? I drink about 12-16 mugs a day. The last time I was doing Atkins I was NEVER hungry and had to force myself to eat. I'm not discouraged...just wondering.

I know when I first started back I found that I was hungry a lot too. Just eat your approved "free" foods as much as you want until you aren't hungry anymore.

You are doing a great job. I don't know about the green tea thing. I have started to dring green tea again. I'll let you know if the same thing happens to me!

Smile Thank-you

Hi Lori,
Thank-you for responding...I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one who ever had this problem. I decided to eat smaller portions more frequently and see where that takes me. I love my green tea, I never thought ANYTHING would take the place of my coffee!

Have a great day!!!

Jules: Are you drinking any plain water? If not, might want to try that when you're feeling "hungry". Otherwise not sure why you'd be hungry. Maybe something you added in is triggering the munchies?

Hi Lady Adnerb,
I'm trying to drink more water. That might be part of my problem. I drink so much tea that I practically float so sometimes I neglect my water goal. I don't really add anything to my food but I'm definately exploring all the possibilities.

Thank-you for responding

Loozingme,

I had the same problem when I started Atkins. Everyone said how they felt so full all the time. It took my system a month or two to adjust and now I get that full feeling pretty quickly and it stays around longer.

Good luck!

Thanks Kerri!
I'm still plugging away here. Still not discouraged though
