Or the insane part about being a woman!

Why is it that we feel this way? Is it really the magazines etc? I don't know. I know I for one am never happy withself and why? Do I think people don't like me? Am I a bad person? Do you like me less if I am heavier and more if I am thinner?

When you see a really heavy woman in a two piece do you think she has guts or some nerve wearing that? I used think she was wacked but as I got older and wiser I thought who's wrong and who's right.....me for thinking she should be banned from all public beaches or her for thinking she looks great and doesn't care what you think she wants to wear a two piece?

Just my little thought for the day

Great question, Jane! I'm glad you asked Star about "fat days." I can't even fathom 129 pounds, so it's interesting to hear your response, Star. I was hoping at some point I'd be completely and totally happy with my body -- that's probably a stretch, though.

I have those same thoughts about the big woman in the two piece, too, Jane. Usually it centers around "Does she think she actually looks good in that?" I feel really terrible actually typing that out, but that is what I think. Maybe she just has great self-confidence. Maybe she just doesn't care what others think. If so, that's wonderful. But, at the same time, most every one on that beach is making fun of her.

I think I take it to the opposite extreme, though. I never wear sleeveless shirts. I only wear shorts if absolutely, positively necessary, which is not often. In fact, even in the Florida summer, I usually have jeans and 3/4-sleeved shirts on. I can't remember the last time I had a bathing suit on... Now, who's in worse shape? The fat woman in the bikini or me? I don't know...

Why do you feel bad saying that? I firmly believe that people should dress appropriately for their weight and body type. 300 pounds or 103 pounds, if the bikini looks god-awful on her, I'm going to think it. I may even say it to someone else. It's not about how big you are or aren't, it's about wearing what looks good on you and fits you well. It's just as inappropriate for a thin person to wear a halter-top and mini-skirt to a funeral as it is for a heavier person. I don't care if they're comfortable in it, it's just not ok.

No one has a perfect body. No one ever will. We all know it, but as for being happy with what we do have, well, I think it gets better. I don't hate my body anymore. I'm absolutely in love with it either. I'm just happy having called a truce to a pointless war. We're allies now.

Jane - the attachment doesn't come up. It says it's "invalid".

Interesting conversation about body image from you guys. I sometimes think I'll never be quite satisfied w/my shape. And, even though I think really heavy women shouldn't wear bikini's or thong bikini's (seen that!), I have to admire their who gives a sh... attitute about the rest of the world. I have a friend who's a bit heavier than I am and has no fear wearing a bathing suit in public. Not that she looks bad, but it doesn't even cross her mind what people think about it. I admire that. I give way to much thought about what others think of me. I really need to get over it.

Sorry Kerri I just blew that post away cause I can't get the picture attached correctly!

I am trying to attach a picture of the blouse I finally finished but I can't attach it unless I size it so small you can't even see it! I can't share it with you guys on snapfish unless I have your emails....gggrrrrr.
Why can't I figure out how to post a picture? well, I know how it just seems to always be a problem. Anyone know what the heck I am supposed to do?

Well it is almost time to check out and I have successfully stayed away from the cubicle from . Yeah me. That makes two days OP. If I can make it 3 (I know I can) then I will be over the hump.

Well home to do more sewing.....now I am making a really cool wool blazer. It won't take me as long as that stinkin blouse I can tell you! It is just straight sewing, no embroidery, not lace nothing!
