Good Morning Brenda! At least it's FRIDAY!!!! I haven't looked forward to the weekend in a long time! Good luck with the school shopping! And I'll be thinking of you for your grandpa's burial. I am sure that will be hard.

Well, I have been MIA here for a few days. I have been sleeping later in the morning, and then coming home and napping in the afternoons. Nothing exciting happening here. We're supposed to get lots and lots or rain this weekend from the hurricane! Think it's just going to be a lazy weekend. We were planning on heading to the beach, but decided we better not with a hurricane on the way! Going to get some breakfast and then catch up on the posts!

So my Friday the 13th is starting off with a bang! They closed our 3 Tampa offices which means our server is down so I can't access some of the tools I need to do a damn thing today! Grrrrrrrr........stupid stupid hurricane!
We have our own server for some things in MA but it is going to be scary around here today. With our Tampa office closed our dispatch people in MA will be hoppin!
Happy Friday!

Eating is still not good but after checking out that web site (www.lowcarbeating.com) I am psyched up again. I am going to go shopping this weekend and stock up on the right foods and try some of the recipes I found. There was a Vietnamese Pho Soup that I am dying to try with shrimp and chicken in it...yummy!

Brenda: There were some low carb bbq sauces also on that site. Check it out. Did you ever get to sleep last night? I saw you were awake at 3 this morning.

Lisa: The rain all weekend won't be fun. We are getting some today but tomorrow is supposed to be nice. Keep taking those naps!

Leenie: Nothing big planned....Going out with the girls tonight...few beers, bad food. Taking my mom shopping for fabric tomorrow. She wants me to make her some dining room shears. Sunday I would like to just hang out. What are you doing?

ACK!!! I had no clue it was Friday the 13th!!!!!!!!

Well, I've been consistently working out for a week and a half now and I feel really good. It's not like I'm doing anything major but I can already feel a difference in muscle tone. It's a good feeling. I'm looking forward to returning to work too... being at home all day is TERRIBLE for my eating habits. Grrrrrr.
I keep having these weird dreams at night... it's always about me having to choose between my BF and another guy. Sometimes I choose my BF and sometimes I choose the other guy. If I choose the other guy, I'm never happy and wish I wouldn't have screwed things up with my BF. What is going on?? Are these normal dreams? I admit that until this relationship, I've been quite the committment phobe, never kept guys around that long. He kinda snuck his way into my heart with me kicking and screaming and dragging my heels the whole time. I'm perfectly happy with him.... insanely happy even. I just don't understand my dreams. Someone out there want to analyze it for me? Please tell me I'm not crazy!!!!!
My first day of work is Tuesday. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO However, I won't have kids until next Friday so there's good and bad I guess. I'm a little worried about this new superintendant we've got. There's a lot of talk going around. The president of the school board gave a speech last year about him and said that there would be a lot of changes and it would be "COMFORTABLE FOR FEW". Those are scarey words. Hopefully, it won't be anything too drastic.
Brenda: Sorry to hear about Grandpa. My thoughts are with you today.

Good morning, Chickies!

I'm soooooooooo happy it's Friday!!!

JINA - ARE YOU OK????

Brenda - Sorry about Grandpa. Hope you still have a good day!

Good morning, Lisa!

Good morning, Leenie! How are you? Come on! Don't hold out on us!

Jane - Ok, the server is down, but that just means you're getting paid to not work. How bad is that, really? I'm looking for Tom Kha and Hot & Sour soup recipies - just in case you come across them

Shimma - No worries about the dreams, hon. It's just our mind's way of cleaning up. You've always been a commitment-phobe, right? It sounds to me like you're just reassuring yourself that you've made the right choice since every time you choose the other guy, you're miserable. Go give BF a kiss and enjoy him. You've obviously picked a good one!

There are so many things going on in town this weekend, that I don't know what I'll end up doing. Both Bush and Kerry are in town today, so I'll be avoiding the downtown area! The Bite is going on this weekend - you can wander around all these booths for different restaraunts from around the state and try all sorts of food (for a price, of course.) There's the Street of Dreams (multi-million dollar homes on 2 acre lots *sigh*). DH wants to go see the Bourne Supremacy this weekend. It was part of the deal for me getting him to go see the new Exorcist movie when it opens next weekend. AND we have tickets to the Air Show tomorrow. So who knows what we'll end up doing?

I've decided that I need to keep a food journal. Not just to track what I eat, but when and why and how it makes me feel. I'm noticing that certain things perk me up, some calm me down, and some just make me feel like I have a brick in my stomach. I think journaling it all out will really help me make extra-good food choices and stay more in tune with my body.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Shimma: I am not a big believer in dream analysis.....although I have had some beauts in my day. I actully had a dream about my dad the night before he died. He was struggling to get up the stairs, drink in his hand and he was holding onto the railing which happen to be on the wrong side...get it "the other side". When I remembered that dream after he died it freaked me out.
I think, like Star it is a way for us to just process stuff, clean house as she said. Don't fret. As long as in your waking hours you aren't struggling over some decision involving him then just relax!

StarPrincess: Wow that is going to be a busy weekend. I have a recipe for Hot & Sour soup....let me see if I can dig it up. I will look for the other one for you. The Vietnamese Pho soup I mentioned looks awesome. I may post the recipe even though I haven't tasted it yet. How bad could it be.

I hope Jina is ok too. Keep safe please! Let us know how you are as soon as you can.

StarPrincess: I just posted the Vietnamese Pho Soup in the recipe section.
Can't find my Hot and Sour soup recipe but there are a lot on the net. Check out www.foodtv.com. They had some that looked good. My recipe wasn't fancy like some of them.

Default Fabulous Pounds Down Friday!

I weigh in on Friday and report pounds down to another site. Consistency with Atkins is starting to pay off! I have not been above 230 in 3 weeks and altough I was yo - yo-ing, I have not been above 227 in a week! It may be slow but at least it is consistent.:db:

Star Princess - My daughter saw Rent and said it was fabulous. She sent me the music. I am sooo jealous.

Jina - My prayers are with you!

lady_abnerb - just joking about the meat - I love the veggies and especially the mashed cauliflower. But all I do with meat is broil it on the George Foreman or cook it in the slow cooker. Got get more creative and use some other recipes.

Randi - You were asking about the food log? I checked out this week's thread - got a few ideas. We are still on induction but starting next week we will try to break out of our mold. Thanks.

Have a great day! mscat

Boy has it been a LONGGG day!! We got up running today. Went to Grandpa's burial. That didn't take long, so we ran home, threw a load of clothes in the wash, then went to the "big" town next to us for some jigs for DH. Then went to Goodwill. OMG!! I got 3 pairs of jeans (and should have bought more!!) in size 10 (was hoping for 8's but I'm ok w/10's....for now!!) and got the girls each some shirts for school. Then came back here and got their paper (and other) supplies. OMG did that cost a LOT!!! DH is crabby because of it. Jeez!!! We then brought all THAT home and then went the town on the OTHER side of us....and did some grocery shopping. It has a super cheap store that we get the girls foods at (cinnamon rolls-sometimes. But hotdogs and macaroni and cheese, etc). Then rushed back here, put it away and then went out to eat.....and happened upon his parents. So we ate dinner with them. Nope, wasn't OP. Told DH I was going back to STRICTLY eating OP after my birthday. Why wait? Cuz I don't forsee myself being able to do it before then

OH!!!! Forgot to mention. Bought this skimpy mini-sundress (that I really didn't know if I'd have the guts to wear anyway) in a size 10 from Goodwill....got home, tried it on...it doesn't fit. *sigh* But going to keep it "just in case" It's my goal dress
