Newbie!

  • Hi!
I'm Tanya, and I've been following weight watchers for little over a year. I've been pretty successful so far and I would like to shake things up a little. What is induction? Can I try it to give my present plan a boost?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tanya
  • I'd advise getting the book first, reading it and THEN deciding if that's what you want to do to boost your present plan.
  • Hi and Welcome !!!

Induction is the first two weeks of the plan. Its kinda self explanitory meaning it introduces you to the diet. It helps get rid of sugars, carbs and caffeine in your system. You loose alot of water on it. It is VERY strict during this time and it teaches you really what you need to know to follow the plan, the basics. It teaches you how to eat.

For details, you can go to www.atkins.com or pick up an updated copy of the book, its probably about 5 bucks. But I think the website will tell you what you need to know to decide weather or not you'll want to try it.

Can I ask, why you would want to do this when WW is working well ? My theory is, if something is working, don't fix it. I'm not saying don't try it because I love atkins. Just curious, is there something your looking for or is there something your hoping will happen? Did you know that WW has a Low Carb plan ? its pretty cool too.

Well what ever you decide, enjoy !!!!
  • Hmmmm I didn't know WW had a lowcarb plan. I knew slimfast did but ewwwwwww.

I am curious as to why you would want to change too, but I'm just nosey!

Btw, Hi and welcome! I agree 100% with Brenda. Research, research, research! While the website does give you some info. I still swear by the book. The website can get confusing.
