Leenie: It's not quite gone yet. A few more days but we still have July here! (I'm hanging on as long as possible cuz it's just going too dang fast and I'm not ready to fly into winter yet seeing how summer seems to finally be here).

Well, blew the whole program to pieces last night. Dang leftovers!! Told the girls that either they ate the rest of the cake (2 pieces) while I was at work or it was getting trashed. The pizza? All gone after last night. Grr. Not even sure WHY I did it. I need to get more gas for my grill so I can start throwing stuff on there again. I love grilled food and it's easier cooking there than heating up the house. So it's back to the start again. But I know next weekend is going to be bombed. DH's birthday is that Friday---plus we're going camping. Not sure how to stay OP for that. So I'm not going to worry about that for those days. I'm going to be good as gold (or do my best) until then and then return to being good. All these good intentions
The kittens go to the vet today. Hopefully they get a clean bill of health so they can roam the house.

Good Morning Ladies!!!

Leenie: Yep, July is almost gone....now if we could just get through August - December quickly I will be a happy woman! Just joking. I really dont' like to rush things, but am getting so excited about seeing this baby! Hope you have a great day!

Brenda: I am sure that you will get right back on plan after all of your summer activities. It can be so hard staying OP when you have so much going on such as birthdays and vacations. Good Luck at the vet. I would rather take a beating than take Rocky to the vet. He has a reputation there that is not very good! He gets very agitated around other animals and tends to show is butt there. He acts like he's tough and will try to start fights with the other dogs, and he is scared of his own shadow. Now when I call to make an appt, they always remind me to leave him in the vehicle until they call me in, and then sneak him in the back door He is really just a big baby and wouldn't hurt a fly, but I guess he's too imtimidating to the other animals! Hope you have a great day also!

Well, heading to work today on my day off!! At least it's not a full day. Going out to dinner tonight with best friend. Her ex DH has the kids tonight, so it's just us! Gonna hit this restaurant that has the BEST grilled chicken salad. My mouth is already watering just thinking about it!! Hope everyone has a great day today, and I'll check in later this afternoon!

Lisa

You know what I have been thinking? Some of us seem to be slacking lately. I find it weird that we are doing it in the summer. I would think that we would cheat more in the winter not in the middle of shorts/bikini season

I too have been bad and my jeans are reminding me of it today. I for one am just a little tired of this. I know it is just a phase but I hope I can get back in action soon and get the hard part of losing over with and onto maintanace.

I think I need to peruse some low carb recipes and get psyched about this again.

Ok, it has now taken me almost an hour to get this typed up and posted!!!!!
Damn work!

Mrs. H: Have fun at dinner. My mouth started watering too and I don't even know what the salad is like! I am just hungry today

Brenda: for the kitties. They are so adorable.

Leenie: What are we going to do? We all need to get back on track! And July might be gone but we have OUR birthday coming up!!!!!!

Good Morning Ladies!

Brenda - Camping and stayong on plan isn't really that hard ifyou have portable propane stove. They only run about $20 at Wal Mart. ou can do hamburgers w/o bun wrappedin lettuce, those Advatage Bars fron Atkins are pretty good (Chocolate & Peanut or Praline & Cream), maybe son big dill pickles, cheese, turkey slices. Good luck at the vet with kittens, they are precious!

Lisa - first babies, well all babies, are always exciting. I do think the first is the most exciting though. What kind of dog is Rocky?

TG- Congrats on making it to the gym. I'm having a very difficult time exercising also. Actually thinking about just biting the bullet and joining Curves. It's so expensive here though, but if I join, I'll go and it would be worth it. Worse thing is, I have exercise equipment at home, just no motivation to use it.

Jane - I knowhow you feel. I can't seem to drop anymore weight. I hate thie last 10 lbs. I have maintained what I've lost for close to a year, but I want to go down another 10-15 lbs.

Leenie -

Well, it's my Friday and I have 3 days off! I have so much to do this weekend after working the last 10 days. Need to clean house, finish laundry including bedding, need to clean carpets since the new dog isn't house broke (he now being crated until he learns), clean up the oleanders out back, give the big dogs a bath, need to go to Palms Springs and go to Sam's and Costco. It never ends. I think I need a housekeeper or a cabana boy to do these things for me!

Hello darlings!

No time for personals right now, but I wanted to let you know that I survived RockFest! It was so much fun! And - are you ready for this? - I crowd surfed for the first time every. Wow - what a rush! So I'm tired and sore in all sorts of random places but I'm wearing my new Slayer t-shirt since they were playing during my first crowd surfing experience and I'm oh-so-smiley!

Have a great day everyone!

Quick question for everyone:

How does one count around 8 hours of moshing, jumping up and down, walking around, and crowd surfing for equator trek miles?

Hi guys!

Sounds like everyone is pretty busy this week.

I'm stuck on what Jane said about motivation and the lack of it with many of us around here. I am just maintaining, not losing anymore (actually up 2 from my signature), and it is definitely from a total lack of motivation. I think we all need a collective kick in the rear. Shall we start a line-up?

My main problem is at night. During the day, at work, I'm fine. It always hits me at or after dinner. I end of eating way too much or a little of carby foods. Night time is definitely my worst time. I need to break this pattern.

Okay, so in thinking about this and what would make a difference, I was wondering if making shorter challenges would help. For me, maybe for a week, or even two weeks instead of over a month. Anyone wanna join me? It's easier for me to be good in short stints than long ones, so if we do a bunch of short stints, maybe I'll stay OP more. Maybe. So? Anyone?

Love - I think that sounds like a great idea. We could do a weekly log with what our exercise/time/days goal is for the week. I have been terrible. And it's all due to procrastination!!

Hello to all. Again fighting boredom to be here 8 hours to do 2 10- minute appointments!

Going to lunch. See you later

Kerri -

I've been having a more difficult time in the evenings as well, and here is what I think my problem is: it's hot. You live here, too so you know what I'm talking about. It's hot and when it's hot I don't want to eat. Then night comes around and it cools way down and suddenly I'm starving!

It also stays light later and just the fact that it's summer leads to a certain loss of structure in our lives. That all has an impact on how we eat. For example, the concert yesterday did me in! I was out there for 8 hours and we weren't allowed to bring in food. Do you think there are good options for food and drink available? NO! I had a skewer of chicken ($3) and was still hungry so I ended up having 4 beers (regular, not light because it wasn't an option and beer won't make me near as sick as regular coke - no diet!) and half an elephant ear. Ugh!

I've been trying to figure out why I can't stay OP. Boredom? possibly. Lack of losing? Probably. I was doing so well and then I just couldn't lose for the life of me. So I think I lost motivation. I even did the dreaded "E" word. Yup, exercised my tushy off. Was actually fun but I hate to sweat and so to exercise in the summer is just NOT my idea of fun. I managed to lose weight w/out exercising so why can't the rest come off just as easily? I'm happy with my weight (except the belly pudge thing yet) so that could also be another reason I'm slipping. Sooo....need to figure out what I need to do to stay OP. I usually don't have a problem except A: when I'm at my parents house (dang mom and her tempting desserts and my lack of willpower) and B: when there's a celebration of some sorts. Main problem: Willpower (or lack of).
For now I'm going to work on being good until next weekend. And then get through that and be good until MY birthday. I need to work on this a day at a time. Bad habits got me to where I was and it'll take me a while to figure out how to kick the bad habits to STAY the way I am (or lose more).
Should I also mention I've been fighting this headache (sinus), toothache (sinus issues) and earache (sinus issues) all together and it's just making me a tad cranky and not thinking correctly. I'd like to go a day withOUT a headache! *sigh* I'll quit whining now. Gotta go to the store and get a kitty carrier anyway. How do you all resist temptation?
