Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Nothing much happening here today! BIL finally came home from the hospital yesterday, so hopefully everything can return to some kind of normal around here! Well, heading to work, and I will check back in later! Have a good day everyone!
Good morning - I'm new but thought I'd jump right in. Not a lot on tap for today, just working as usual. Gotta take a break though, I've been here for an hour and a half already. Tonight we will take the girls to my dad's to swim their little hearts out after dinner, even though we were just there last night. I love that because then they are SO tired afterwards.
I hope everyone has a good day!
Mrs H: good morning. You started early today! Glad BIL came home. Hope all is well with him.
KYStephanie: Welcome. Good for you jumping in! You'll find a pretty friendly informative bunch around here....enjoy.
Well, I went to the doc last night for my headache and neck pain and she gave me a muscle relaxer. Had to take two to get them to work Well needless to say I was VERY relaxed last night
She wants me to go get an MRI done on Friday. She said just in case.....
Hopefully that will be the last of this darn thing.
I was thinking this morning......I haven't been working that hard lately at this WOE but I haven't been that bad either....just a few cheats on the weekends.......weight is staying the same.....not going up or down.....haven't been exercising due to the headache......I need to get back to some sense of order here or decide that this is where I want to be for now.
I think that by next week everything will be back to normal and I will be back logging my food on FitDay like a finatic and back doing my walks. Oh that reminds me......I was going to get a video on just basic toning exercises, like a basic calisthenics video. But then I couldn't help but think...if I do that then I will only get 1 mile on the Equator Trek as apposed to my 3 for my walk. HOW DUMB IS THAT? Why do I care about the damn numbers so much? I should just be doing what is GOOD for me not whether I get the correct number of miles or whether I am a 12 or 14!!!!!!!!!!!
Jane I missed all of what is going on w/ you health wise but I am glad you are doing OK now. Good luck with your MRI and you gotta love those muscle relaxers, zzzzzzzzz they make me so sleepy.
Welcome Stephanie LOve your Avatar!!!
Mrs H: That is good BIL os heading home, and things are starting to get back to normal.
Well we are back home from vacation. It was fun and we saw a bunch of friends and family. I got a tan. The kids had a great time playing with my all my girlfirends from high schools kids, they are all around the same age. I ate alot of crap and now I am ready to jump back on the old Atkins horse, so here I am back to the grindstone. Missed you all. Gotta go get ready for work, Have a geat day!!!
Lisa: Glad things are going better w/the BIL. Try and take it easy today!
Stephanie: Welcome and glad you jumped in. I agree---it's great when the kids have worn themselves out. Mine don't very often
Jane: Glad you got something for the headaches. Did they actually work or just relax the rest of you? Let us know how the MRI goes. OH!!!!! Exercise revelations!!! I need to re-think my "I've got to beat my last months total" also!!
Well, the kittenS are now settling in. We got the other one yesterday. Snafu and Jeder. Both males. DH is all "why do we need two cats" fierce....but that won't last long. I've got to make a "kitty contract" for the girls to sign. Basically just to make sure THEY keep the litter box clean, clean up any "hairballs" and stuff like that. I took the day off cuz I was going to get oats and grass seed (plus hay to put over it) to put on the dirt. But we're supposed to get storms. ARGH!!!
Well, I'm off. At least I'll be able to GET the oats and grass
Lisa, I am glad your BIL is out of the hospital. I hate hospitals.
Stephanie, again welcome and feel free to jump in any time.
Jane, I hope that your headache goes away soon. And you know you are not alone in wanting to do exercises that give you more equator track, LOL, yep I am another one, LOL, have been like this for the past few weeks. I always talked myself into going for a bike ride just because I can cover more miles. To some extend this might be cheating. But looking at it another way, we are more likely to do them, and less likely to talk ourselves out of not doing them and that is very good thing. That is the way I look at it.
Jane - Weeeeeeeee! Muscle relaxers are fun! Here's my question for you on the whole equator trek thing: why does it have to be a walk OR the video? Why not do both? We know that we need both cardio and strength training. And you want more miles. It works!
TG - You're back! I missed you!
Brenda - Happy seeding!
Rachel -
Well, last night was experimental cooking night again! I wrapped hamburger meat around blue cheese and OMG - yum! Why didn't it occur to me to do that before? I also tried out a recipe for these mint chocolate frozen things. They were ok, but I liked them better before they were frozen.
This morning I tried out Lender's new whole grain bagel. It's 14 grams of carbs once you subtract the 8 grams of fiber, so it's a bit high, but very good and very filling (thank you, fiber!)
Now for my exciting (for me anyway) news. I have only one bra that's been fitting me anymore, and it's a barely at that, so I went on a bra shopping excursion yesterday. And being cheap, I went to Marshall's because most are under $10. Well, guess what! I am now officially a 36B!!!! Wa-hoooooo!!! This is the size I always wanted to be and I can't believe it! It took a reduction surgery and all this weight loss, but hot damn! here it is!
Now for my strange news. While bra shopping, I had to check out the panties as well. (I'm developing a love of thongs.) I found the strangest thing. Are you ready? I found panties that you can take and rub the material together and then sniff and they smell like apples, strawberries, or blueberries. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen! And they're neon and incredibly cute so I bought up 4 pair and then made the cashier and everyone who stopped by my house yesterday smell my new underwear
TG - Welcome back! Don't you just hate having to go back to normal life?
Stephanie - Welcome to the boards
Star - Remind me NOT to visit your house!
Well, got back from vacation yesterday and had tons of things of catch up on at work. Crazy! Didn't do much but hang around the house but I did go to Lake Powell for a few days. It was beautiful except for getting stormed on while trying to sleep on the pontoon boat (sp?) Saturday night! We actually decided to come back early since the people wer were with was just being his normal iriating self that he can be sometimes.
Noew, I have to drop a couple of pounds again but it shouln't be too hard.
StarPrincess: Oh you wacky girl you! Congrats on the smaller bra size. My husband is glad mine went up over the years! Mine haven't changed since I lost weight....I thought for sure that is where I would lose it.
As for doing both kinds of exercise............WHAT ARE YOU KIDDING? I can barely get off my *** and do one!
rachelearth: You are right...I suppose it makes us do them.
Brenda: Meow, meow, meow! Oh how I love kitties! I so wish I could have one. I am soooooo allergic. Funny though we had them when I was a kid....at one point 3! Now I can't even be in the same room with them. But I still love the little buggers. I dropped off some canned food at the local shelter last week and took a peak at some of the kitties *sigh*
TG: Welcome back from vacation! Sounds like a good time was had by all.
I'm sick of rain right now. Why couldn't it have waited until AFTER we had grass seed?? As soon as DH gets ready we'll be going to the store to get the stuff. Then maybe within the next few days we can actually get it planted and we'll have grass again.
The kitty contract is signed and "delivered". And my resume is typed up and up-to-date. Except the references. Not sure who to put for the 3rd reference. For the one going to the hospital I put the SIL down-figure she works there so they'd talk to her But then figured..if I don't get that job what's to keep me from going to the grocery store or other places to apply (besides being a chicken sh*t).
