Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone had a great weekend and I hope all the mommies here were spoiled rotten! Other then my eating yesterday which included a cake doughnut and an overabundance of low carb goodies everything this weekend went fine. Saturday I squeezed my big butt into a size 16! Of course I had to lay on the bed and suck it in to zipper them, but the point is I got into them!!! When I bought them the buttons wouldnt even come close to reaching each other so I was thrilled about that. A couple more weeks, I'm aiming for the beginning of June, I want to be in them comfortably. I put on my shorts for the first time yesterday and when I stood up they would fall down So sometime soon I am going to have to go shopping for some summer attire, I figured I would buy a couple different sizes and take it as it comes.

Leenie - Those donuts got to me too this weekend, ah well its over now.. a new day with a new start

Shimma - B/F moving in! I'm so happy you both will have so much more time to be together now. Don't be surprised if you fight like cats and dogs for a while, I think thats a mandatory stage couples must go through.

Brenda - That darn scale, I have a feeling its going to hold bad news for me on Wed. I'm not going to dare step on it until then for fear of what it's going to say now

Jdogg - I feel like I have been losing motivation too. I'm not really sure why, like you, I want to lose this weight, but I seem to be getting lazy at it. We need to work on a plan to get our oomph back.

Jane - You deserve all the compliments you got that night and more! I'm sure you looked just gorgeous. Don't worry about those little pounds, they will melt off before you know it!

Star - I bet it's going to be an early bedtime for you tonight. Oye I would be such a cranky snot if I only got a couple hours of sleep. You wont end up like your SIL.. the good part of it all is you have learned from her mistakes.

Well time to deal with the swimming pool thats forming in my basement from the rain we've had. It's up to my ankles now so I need to break out the shop vac and get some of that out of there so I can safely walk the trip from my washer to my dryer without fear of drowning. Hope everyone is having a lovely day.

Jane - No I have a little surprise in store for him when I win!!! I'm sure he will be thinking that I'd like a night of ....well, you know. But I started this because he agreed to ANYTHING I want. Well, I've been dying to have another pet kitten for a couple of years now and he's always said no. Guess what? He agreed to ANYTHING I want!!!

Jane: Well, when I stay on plan during the week and go off on weekends.... I usually lose 1.5 a week. However, with all the stress I've had lately I've been off for about 2 weeks now. Since I have a habit of going off on weekends If I mess up past wednesday and it's gonna be an over 100 carb day, I just go off. Otherwise I'm eating high fat AND high carb and that's no good.

So, it WAS working. I took the month of march off and the last 2 weeks off and I'm still doing ok.... but I agree, when I'm tired or stressed I don't want good wholesome food... I want CRAP and lots of it. What's amazing though is how much more AWARE I am. I know what I was doing wrong... so why do I want to eat chips and cookies every time I'm down in the dumps? Ok, not just chips.... Cheetos. I happen to adore cheetos. Ugh.

Jane - Nope. That wasn't me in TG's picture. I still haven't met her in the 'real' world. The follow-up on my eyes went remarkably well. I'm 20/20 in my right eye and 20/25 in my left. The left eye amazed my doctor since before the surgery they best they could get me to was a very shakey 20/35 and they say not to expect anything better than what you'd be correctable to with glasses. He almost fell off the chair when I read that 20/25 line and part of the 20/20 line with my left eye

Trazzie - I'm actually in a pretty good mood. I'm a little tired, but I think I've gotten accustomed to little sleep over the years. I normally only get 5-6 hours a night and as long as I don't do those 2 hour nights in a row, I'm pretty ok. It's a gift

Ok. When you're tired, crabby, bloated and ache all over how do you make yourself exercise? It's going to be tomorrow--I agreed to chaperone my oldest DD field trip...traipsing up and down a "hill". Looks like I'll get my exercise tomorrow. But how do I do it today? Ate some lunch meat and cheese and now feel like....well, I won't say. I could do w/out eating today I think.

It's certainly tough. When I feel that way, I make myself go do some intense cardio - like a long bike ride. It gets out some of my aggression, makes me feel leaner and stronger, and best of all, intense cardio produces endorphins. Endorphins get you high. Much better

Hi guys!

It sounds like everyone had a lively weekend. I have a question for you drinkers out there...

It seems like every time I have an alcohol drink, or two, or three (usually dirty martinis), I'm down a pound or even the next day. But... then following day I'm up a couple. Do you guys get that? Could it be a water retention thing? I stayed OP this weekend except for the 2 martinis Saturday night, but I'm definitely up weight today. It usually passes as the week goes on, but I can't figure out if it's real weight or fluid. It makes me not want to drink, but I sooo love a good drink.

Any thoughts?

Love: If I have a blowout weekend then I am up the next day....and then for a couple of days. I wish I would be down after a night of drinking

I have wine at night and I thought it was slowing me down but I tried to not have any for a couple of weeks once and it made no difference at all.

Shimma - Where did you have your lean mass tested? Is that the same as the body fat % they do at the gym?

Oh, and congrats on your new roommate!

Love - it makes you drop a pound or more because alcohol dehydrates you. It goes back up because you water levels have returned to normal or you're retaining some water because of the dehydration. Make sense?

So, in theory, I should lose the water again w/in a day or two...

I hope so. I'd hate to quit drinking!

OK. I got the gumption somehow to exercise. I hope this gets easier!!! Sure wish I wasn't such a lazy person! Now if only I could get the kids computer to work I'd be in a better mood. Dang thing is screwed up. Reformatted it using a disk of my sisters (can't find mine) and it's not working right. ARGH!!!
